As Nigerians we must be objective, injustice to Timi today, tomorrow it can be you...unless you are among the billionaire circle, otherwise they can easily trample on anyone's right, when the police officers are used by the 'highest bidder'... justice is the last hope of the people... together we can ensure justice for all, it is beyond Timi. If he wants to sue for libel, it's the court that will decide, not armed officers. Most Nigerians are quite naive, always supporting their oppressors, this is a twisted mindset.

As far as I can see, the pastor is going about it the right way - first you petition the police - they investigate and send their findings to director of public prosecution - he advises on if the case should go to court or not. From then on it becomes a case of dakolo vs 1. The state 2. Pastor fatoo..

On the other hand we have dakolo and co. They went to social media. Drumming up sympathy and making a show of the whole thing...without showing evidence..

Your guess is as good as mine who will win the case..

Let's keep our fingers crossed.. grin

You say they investigate right...has the police told you about the findings of the supposed investigation, before sending officers to his residence?

This is not a police matter...it is not a felony, it's civil case, Fato and his lawyers are learned enough to know this. They just want to intimidate Timi Dakolo.

Are you saying he cooked it up?

A court summons is appropriate in this case, delivered by a court clerk, or through post. A team of officers, in a bus is just high handedness, and reeks of intimidation tactics... please understand the law.

Mr lawyer if someone petitions igp against you.. It is not court clerk that will come and invite you, its is the police - and depending on their assessment of the level of threat - they may be armed or not.

And kindly post a picture of the armed officers so I and other sceptics can believe that dakolo is being intimidated..

You must be kidding when you said they should post letter to dakolo..when he has an appointment in abuja on a particular date.. grin. Noo its not done like that .

Oga me how do you investigate a case without inviting the principal actors - the pastor went to force headquarters and submitted a petition - the next thing is for the police to invite the other party no be so..or they should telephone them to ask question - I nor they understand you again oo.. grin

Police will only come looking for you, when you don't answer to court summons...as far as I know, he has not done that. IGP has serious issues to handle, do you know how many serious criminal cases IGP has on his desk? Kidnapping, murder, armed robbery etc, so IGP will leave all that and focus on a civil case, lol, stop joking man.
Timi is not wanted for felony or murder, in the eyes of the law, it is not felony. IGP has no business with this type of case, it's a civil case.

So why didn't they knock and give him the letter... please don't be a joker, they were not there to hand him any letter, otherwise they would have delivered it.

They were sent to pick them up, not to deliver any notice, read it here- https://www.nairaland.com/5312773/rrs-officers-stop-policemen-taking

Aisha Buhari should understand that there is a great difference between rape victim and rape claimant?

Besides, it is not out of place for the police on the request of the accused to demand that the rape claimant jusitifes her accusations before she can be officially awarded the title of victim.
And justice meted out deservingly.

I am also confined to construe this attention to the IG of Police as an act of using office as a tool for obstruction of justice.
This is no case of intimidation but that of elucidation of misrepresented facts.

The Dakolos have just gotten the best opportunity to come out with their facts, I expected them to embrace it and defend their claims.
This is more than shouting #NotInMyChurch, #MeToo or floating a money-funnel NGO.

This is about setting the facts clear.
They need not call Segalink or RuggedMan when next a strange car comes near their dirty house unless they're confirming what the bible says about the wicked who run when no one is chasing.

Well, what do I even know?

YOU DON GO TO A CIVILIANS HOUSE WITH ARMED POLICE MEN TO DELIVER AN INVITATION LETTER.
Arming a policeman for such task is only done when the recipient is deemed armed and dangerous.
Besides police dont roam around in private vehicles. Whose vehicle was that. Its not even a government vehicle. These are pointers that something is not right which threw up Dakolos suspicion.

Nigerians are watching u, Fato. U and your COZA gang.
U can saturate social media with coza and your paid operatives, but real Nigerians are watching u.

Here are some things people are saying:

“Sending a truck load of well armed policemen to invite a woman who claimed she was raped is just so very wrong. It says to the woman that the police is working for the accused, otherwise a couple of officers could have stopped by her house to deliver the letter in a none threatening way“

“A civil case local to Lagos that should be answered in a nearby police station in Lagos. How did it become a federal criminal case with lurking armed policemen from the IGP from Abuja suveiling a private citizen’s home and intimidating him to sign a paper to appear in Abuja”

“Once a cultist is always a cultist ,forget either pastor or no pastor”.

You really do not think.

Your President's wife asked IGP to get involved. IGP stays in Abuja and not Lagos

I can see you are a FATOYINBO apologist. ...foŕ a civil case like this, what is the need sending a bus load of armed policemen to deliver an invitation letter . if the case were to be between ATIKU and FATOYINBO will the police send an intimidating company like they did to the dakolos to invite ATIKU. ...yes its an opportunity for the dakolos to prove their claim and the onus is on them to do that beyond reasonable doubt but we say NO to biased treatment and intimidation

P.S.....Welcome back
