If the specs you got is an 8/128 gb, then try and install a custom OS. I noticed the 4G is an airtel network and not 9mobile.

Am not understanding. This is how stock android looks like. There is no problem there. As for the storage, Verifiy if the 8gb ram and 128gb is real. If it is, no reason to complain.
please please. Stock Android doesn't look like that please.

In fairness to Jumia, you should probably update the title of this thread, to indicate that you made a mistake. And totally leave Jumia out of it. As Jumia has nothing to do with it. You ordered a generic noname device, and you got exactly that.

Thanks for this Caps
Well, didn't know it was generic. And even, what I requested wasn't what I got. BTW, it's a friend of mine who made the order and the phone is his. Already called Jumia but they ain't saying anything about it
you should return it, call them ASAP

Good evening NLanders, well, without typing too much, I must say that I'm really disappointed with Jumia and the item I got from them. (SCREENSHOTS ATTACHED)

Few weeks ago, I placed an order for a device. After consistent disturbance, I finally got the item. Unboxing the item, and going through the menus on the phone, I realised a COPY VERSION of android was what I got. The item I placed order on didn't correspond with what I received today.

Need I add that, im not too much a phone geek, but I can spot original from FAKE.

I requested for a product with 4gb ram ROM, but 8gb ram 128gb rom was delivered to me (SCREENSHOT ATTACHED)

Below were my deductions to called the item I reviewed as COPY:
1. The phone can use 10 minutes to charge from 10% to 11%.
2. The U.I was just too native and dull to be running on Android 9.1. Infact, U.I of Android 2.3.3 was far better.
3. While switching on the phone, there was no welcome message displaying MANUFACTURER'S name.
4. While trying to switch off device, the power off menu is just like that of android 5
5. 9mobile 4G isn't currently available in my state, but to my surprise , the device is always showing 4G on the notification bar.
6. Going to SETTINGS>>ABOUT PHONE and tapping on android version consistently, on original phones, it pops up ANDROID VERSION LOGO, but mine isn't even clickable.
7. Many more features which I can't remember.

Below are screenshots

Please, you all should be very careful with items purchased on JUMIA

U bought a fake Chinese phone from jumia global. That is not jumia's fault. U got what u ordered for. Anyway u have 1 week to return it if u are not satisfied. I hope u know it's not jumia that sold it, it was a 3rd party seller through jumia. The only time to be sure that what u are buying from jumia is when the product have jumia express written on it.

Your first line is funny tho. Tho I feel so bad about Jumia.

Anyways, Jumia isn't genuine anymore? I should have known since.

Bro. Jumia is just an online market place where anyone can sell their product. Jumia also sell their own products and those ones have jumia express written on it. Let's say u as a person manufacture a phone, u can sell it through jumia provided u did not slap a Samsung name on a phone that is not made by Samsung. U clearly bought a generic phone. Which phone is p38 abeg? U got what u ordered for. It was very obvious from their page that it's a generic phone. This is no fault of jumia

If they were real, I wouldn't have been complaining. BTW, I ordered for 4gb, and got wack 8gb. The whole UI is messed up. The phone is as slow as snail

There's no way that thing is 8gb. Use cpu z to check it, it's probably 1gb of ram

Jumia would refund, the seller is clearly fraudulent, put a picture of Huawei P30

But p30 or Huawei was NOT written on the picture so seller has no fault here. Even if the picture is for p30 they did well to not include Huawei brand on the picture. They advertised s generic phone and op got a generic phone. Simple

True.

But Jumia staffs are really dull sometimes.

Uploaded items are not usually checked by QA team how come this item without a brand name was approved.

Both Jumia and this Ni99a dull.

I hate scammers if I had a gun most of them would here my name. angry

Does it matter whether generic fone or not??
What matters is jumia is encouraging people to sell fake stuff via this web platform which will inturn dent their image...
So all in all jumia is to be blamed if they intend to keep customers satisfied...
I know jumia is like the market for selling these items.. It won't hurt for Jumia to check for the specificity to confirm if its true before mailing...
This is why I prefer to enter shop n buy fone n test it there before Leaving
