What was the sentence like?

I have omitted many Yeahs' in the past.

If the yeah is a response to a question then u must transcribe it.

Example:

Rep: Are you free right now?
Customer: Yeah.

In this case if u don't transcribe it u will be penalized for omitted content.

You can make as low as 0.20 dollars or as high as 100 dollars per week depending on how hard you work.

It will take lots of work to reach and cross the $100 mark weekly.

I don't think any Nairalander has reached it yet. grin

The uhmm is not as a response but more of a filler

We would have seen a Nigerian name on the highest minutes transcribed list.

We go soon reach there.

The rep's name is usually at the top of the page on the left hand part. The rep is the person calling or speaking on behalf of the client company. Sometimes they can be two on a call.

Okay. Thank you.

It doesn't take anything special to reach dat level sha.

All u need is just steady power supply, good headphones, internet, dedication and free time...

Yes you can be self employed anywhere you are in the country transcribing for a living.

This thread will teach you everything you need to know to start up and the tools needed to deliver the goods.

You would need

1. A PC, tab or mobile phone
2. Affordable internet connection
3. Good head phones
4 Good command of English

Everything else can be learned on this thread. For those of us who have already started transcribing, we're welcome to share our ideas here so that this can be our online community.

To avoid this thread being banned, kindly let us adhere to all the rules of Nairaland.

Should we want to share screenshots, kindly let's block the company and important call info.

Also all forms of advertising is prohibited and will be reported.

Edited 9/7/2019 posted by samsard for newbies. Once you master these, the rest go easy

E.g
Rep: I was gonna, uhmmm, I was gonna tell ya about, about the new product we launched.
What they need: I was going to tell you about the new product we launched.

Punctuation: Hello, Philip. It's Emily calling from CLH Group. How're you doing today?
Cust: I'm fine, thank you. And how are you?

Longer calls will be more complex in terms of punctuation but for a start
A comma before and after a name in mid sentence. A comma before or after a name in salutation.
You're also allowed MINOR corrections for making clear transcripts.
Anyway, read through the FAQ and regularly Consult it while working at least till you acquaint yourself with it's detail

Hello bro,the postal column on the application form for south Africa PayPal isn't going at all...I have tried all methods but failed... What should I do?

$100, not 100 minutes.
100 minutes gives you $20+.
The lowest on the leadership board, Gian P, got 477.9, which is more than $90.
Remember, it is not just about reaching those minutes. One must also make ratings 4 and 5.

But I really give it to you, though.
Wednesday, and you're already at over 100 minutes already!!! Damn!!! You get mouth.
It just shows that it doesn't matter how we force it... Some people's zeal go still pass other people own.
