iamnen:Keep quiet, you know nothing, Iran can pay anything to our corrupt judges to let Elzakzaky off the hook, as a Nigerian if you are one, you should be concerned about your National security, you said the killing of Yusuf brought Boko haram insurgency upon us, who did we kill in ISIS that brought ISWAP upon us? Who did we kill in FLN that brought bandits & killer herdsmen upon us? Which militant was neutralized that brought militancy upon us in 2016? Terrorists don't care who you killed, they are pursuing their own agenda regardless what we think. You should be cursing the government at the time for killing only Yusuf, we should've neutralized Yusuf, Shekau, Barawi & Mamman nur to send the right message. When Bin laden was neutralized, was the US scared of Al Qaeda reprisals? Why should you care about what terrorists think? If IMN elects another Elzakzaky, Nigeria should be kind enough to take him out as well. Who did Nigeria offend that IPOB started disturbing everyone? Whether or not you neutralized Yusuf, Al Qaeda must come if the want to, who did Kenya neutralize that invited Alshabab? Who did Somalia neutralize to attract the wrath of international pirate syndicate linked to Al Qaeda? For now, US & UK are keeping Iran busy, IMN should bring it on, nonsense!! |

QuietMynd:I tell you what; Buhari is the most lenient General that has ever led this country, ask those kids how many officers were killed before OBJ levelled ODI, the same OBJ now writes love letters to PMB because he knows we have loads of crack heads with no recollection of his reign. Needless to remind you that the same TY danjuma that reigned hell on ODI is the same talking rubbish about PMB because he lost out in the national power equation. The moment that senior police officer was killed, PMB was supposed to reign Armageddon on IMN. No time for rubbish. |

I am actually a resident of Zaria and I know very well how those Shiites behave. They made me miss the burial of my grandfather some years back and believe me, I was happy when I heard that the soldiers taught them a lesson BUT 24 hours later, I heard that the soldiers had attacked their homes, killed women and even babies simply for being Shiite. They even killed my primary school classmate and she was even a stickler. If you are a Game of Thrones fan, think of how you quickly changed from supporting daenerys to outrightly wanting her killed after what she did to the residents of kingslanding. One thing about this is that it will only give birth to more problems in the future and just a few years later, they have already started killih police officers. I don't mind Zakzaky's detention because that idiot has given me so much pain and frustration but killing babies, old men, and pregnant women is a no for me and just as history shows, it will only lead to more problems. This is exactly how Isis, Boko haram and Alqaeda were formed. Any kid who loses his family like that wouldn't think twice about taking arms. |

jpphilips:This country has a history of taking actions without weighing it on a reaction scale. Its simple law of life, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Recent example(based on religion) is Mohammed Yusuf. You have people painting the narrative that they're being oppressed by a Sunni President, what do we do?hand them more crayons? What happened to the wisdom in "talking softly but carrying a big stick"? Who scratches rashes with knife?. Look how this administration failed when it tried bludgeoning the case in the delta? That's how they'd fail if they approach this issue. Can we afford another pyrrhic victory? All am yelling is Approach!! Approach!!! |

Do not become what you are trying to eliminate. (Pre- Boko Haram)forcing unarmed men to lay on the road side and executing them in broad day light is not how any Nation should function, killing a suspected militant leader while in police custody while handcuffed is pure murder and should have never happened. So if some of you guys think it's okay for the Govt to ignore court orders and execute people in broad day light while unarmed and posing no threat, then the country deserve the resulting chaos of such actions . Why even pretend to be democratic |

NAF TO STRENGTHEN TIES WITH BANGLADESH FOR CAPACITY BUILDING IN PILOT TRAINING, OTHERS The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is set to strengthen already existing ties with the Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh to enhance its capacity building drive. This was revealed today, 25 July 2019, by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, while playing host to the Bangladesh Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Md. Shameem Ahsan, in his office at the Headquarters NAF, Abuja. The areas of collaboration to be explored include basic fighter pilot training, helicopter pilot training, research and development (R&D), and training of Aviation Medicine personnel as well as other relevant fields that would enhance service delivery. While expressing delight to receive the Ambassador in his office, Air Marshal Abubakar noted that Bangladesh has always been a friend of the NAF and has been providing training opportunities for selected NAF personnel for Junior and Senior Staff Courses as well as the National Defence Course. He added that the NAF was willing to take the collaboration further so as to glean from Bangladesh’s experience in other areas including pilot training and R&D. He equally observed that the NAF was willing to embark on Faculty exchange programmes between the Air Force War College Makurdi and her counterparts in Bangladesh. Additionally, the CAS noted that, due to the ongoing rapid expansion of the NAF Medical Services Branch to provide better healthcare services for its personnel, their families and host communities, the NAF had established a Reference Hospital in Bauchi and upgraded the NAF Hospitals in Port Harcourt and Lagos to Reference Hospitals, and was on the verge of commissioning a new Reference Hospital in Daura. He said the Service would therefore like to take advantage of opportunities in Bangladesh to bolster the capacity of its medical personnel to enable them more effectively man these facilities. Responding, the Bangladesh Ambassador expressed his country’s readiness to further deepen the already existing cordial relationship between Nigeria and Bangladesh. He assured the CAS of the Bangladesh Government’s commitment to continue to collaborate with the NAF in all the areas of mutual interest. bidexiii:I don't know which is more tragic in this video, the stomach churning sound track or the video in itself. The war is entering it's 13th year and the Air Chief is busy building his own army whose contribution to the way effort is of little significance as the army already has nearly 200,000men and 52,000 reservist. If that is not enough we have 320,000 paramolitary and 25,000 civil defence. This Air Chief is building his 4th special forces unit and spending millions of dollars on training. Meanwhile the NAF is on life support. The nation's fleet of strike aircraft consist of 10 Alpha jets and 9 F-7Ni fighters for air defence. Even at that the availability rate is %60, which means at any given time only 5 Alpha jets and 4 F-7Ni fighters can be launched. Until 2022 this is the toy Nigeria depends on to protect her territory. Meanwhile our Air Chief is busy commissioning one housing project over the other. Well can I blame him? The Air Force is no different than corrupt politicians who secure contracts to build infrastructure and pocket half of it. it's easy to siphoned money meant for grounds infrastructure than from an arms deal. Hundreds of millions of naira is released to fund this senseless projects..of which at least %40 will go into his pocket. He is building three story housing units and slenfkng millions of dollars training hundreds of pilots abroad when we have only 10, aircraft. What are these new qualified pilots going to be flying? Who spends millions of dollars training pilot only to risk losing your investments by strapping them on an aircraft that can be brought down with one well armed bullet and too slow to outrun a missile. Boko Haram is now a money making enterprise. Take a look at the airforce of smaller weaker and much poorer states in peace time. Many soldiers and airmen are dead because of these selfish criminals we have as service chiefs.. First he commissions the Nigerian Air Force fish pond, then a sewing machine factory, then a tailoring factory, then two well equipped gymnastics, a forensic lab. All costing hundreds of millions or billions of naira, and we celebrate it as good initiatives. No wonder corruption thrives and nobody takes us serious. The corruption in the Nigerian armed forces is without precedence in human history. We are going into the13th year of war against a non-state actor with no airforce. These people don't want this war to end. They will keep the war open for as long as they can so carry out more sensless capital human capacity development projects or whatever misnomer they choose to call it. Look at the airforce of Egypt, South Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Morocco, Gabon etc and compare it to the NAF. They are numerically and qualitatively superior. The Nigerian Air Force is a disgrace. THIRTEEN YEARS !! Nigeria has the least defended airspace in the world. |

SLBMS:The sound track are pretty tragic to the ears but they are far better than most of your video sounds track and video composition you've posted here. On the other hand the NAF is not just building an army but also equally participating in the north east theatre likewise the other troubled northern states. I don't know if it's your ignorance, this is a standard practise in any military be it airforce or navy etc.. You went further displaying your ignorance comparing NAF with Kenya, Uganda, Gabon. Ethiopia and south African airforce equally are on the same level with the NAF, nothing spectacular about their airforce. Dude do some little research before typing jargons, i know people like will come and say Rep of Benin airforce will crush NAF in 3 days ![]() |

PRESS RELEASE ARMY HEADQUARTERS HOLDS MAIDEN WORKSHOP FOR COMMANDERS IN OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE The Army Headquarters Department of Training and Operations (DATOPS), today Thursday 25 July 2019, held its maiden workshop for Commanders, Commanding Officers and Staff Officers of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, on the concept of "Super Camp" held at Headquarters 25 Task Force Brigade (Super Camp 2) Damboa, Borno state. Declaring the workshop open, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, represented by the Chief of Training and Operations (Army), Major General Enobong Udoh, charged the participants to take the workshop seriously, as the concept of the Super Camp is a force multiplier that allows for concentration of manpower and resources. He further commended the participants for their sacrifices to the country and for being good ambassadors of the Nigerian Army. Similarly, while making his welcome address, the Theatre Commander, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major General Benson Akinroluyo, appreciated the COAS for the new Super Camp concept, which he said will serve as launching pad for mobile offensive operations in containing and denying the Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs)/ criminals freedom of action in identified areas across the theatre". Major General Benson Akinroluyo, also stated that, the super camps would further boost force protection of troops while on camps, as well as enable them to project force through long distance patrols and ambushes to dominate their areas of operation. Lectures were delivered by the Director Logistics Planning, Army Headquarters, Brigadier General Martins Waboke, on the topic: "Administration and Logistics Support of Nigerian Army Super Camp" and the Assistant Director Operations, DATOPS, Lieutenant Colonel I Waziri, who made a presentation on the lecture entitled "Understanding the Concept and Establishments of Nigerian Army Super Camps". The workshop was quite interactive and the participants were also conducted on a guided tour of super camp Damboa, which later dovetailed into professional group discussion. Participants were drawn from Headquarters Theatre Command, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, as well as Sectors 1, 2 and 3. Present during the workshop include the General Officer Commanding 7 Division and also Commander Sector 1, Major General AB Biu, Commander Sector 2, Brigadier General IS Ali, Component Commanders, Theatre Training Officer, Brigade Commanders and other very senior officers. bidexiii:as for me, I think the NAF should focus more on having fighter jets, AWACs,Air defence and transport. They don't need to start expanding their ground forces, dey need few infantry that will only be in charge of defending Nigeria Air force base and assets. The Nigerian army should be in charge of every land operation and all the fighter helicopter should also be transfered to the Nigerian army. |

BabaOwen:You want them to focus on acquiring aircrafts with the stipends you call budget. That's why it's taking them years to acquire 3 jf17 jets & helicopters. The federal government should do the needful, the airforce chief and it's administration is on the right part. Tell me when was the last time any airforce chief or military chief has reached the current chief milestone in terms of acquiring hardware. The last two airforce chief Amosun and Bade squandered money meant for the initial JF17 and MI-17, yet @SLBMS is spitting suit. People like him will hail Amosun when he was the CAS that's his performing. |

bidexiii:this current CAS is trying his best to make sure NAF gets it's adequate platforms he is currently stressing on get quality air defense systems,ISR,and fighter jets and other combat platform. He has decided to engage personnel and partner with local defense companies and institution just to establish these goals and that's what lead to the production of the world class tsaigumi uav.... unconfirmed reports says NAF is working with Proforce Nigeria for the production of attack helicopters and drones, the NAF is working with NASRDA for the development of missiles and extended range rocket for our platform...soon the jf17 will arrive and am sure NAF won't only receive three....we are expecting another set of combat agusta and MI35...we also don't know whether the yahbon flash drones are here already it could be secret just like the CH3 drone we are still negotiating the yak130 and MIG fighter jet according to the recently replaced defense ministry Dan ali so u see CAS is trying alot... |

You can sugar coat it or make excuses all you want..but deep down you all know there is no nation in the world that has such a "buy it when you need it" approach to war. Look at Bidexi making excuses for the incompetence and corruption of those at the helm if affairs of a nation at war. Just read what this guy is saying? Limited funding? Are you for real? Nigeria just squandered the entire defence budget of Chad and Cameroon combined on 12 Super Tucano, an aircraft that will not survive 10 minutes in contested airspace. The deal in itself shows Nigeria expects to still be at war agaibst Boko Haram by 2022, cos thats when it "might be delivered". This country is a laughing stock. It's approach to security and senseless projects is proof the longevity of this war benefits some people. Army bases are being overrun because there are not enough aircrafts to provide air support. The puny aircrafts we have are stretched to thin and too far out to make any strategic impact. Other country's look at Nigeria and wonder how a rich and powerful nation like Nigeria cannot squash Boko Haram. You cannot blame them. It defies human reasoning. |

Toju200:The JF-17 might not arrive until 2025. The Super Tucson 2022. These aircrafts are being built from scratch so we are at the mercy of the manufacturers. If the four new Mi-35 helicopters one has been shot down already. The whole country is on fire because the Air Force is stretched too thin to checkmate these flashpoints of violence. The Army is supposed to have a dedicated Aviation Corp.. we've heard nothing about it . Meanwhile the COAS is still commissioning building projects. |
| Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Nobody: 12:49pm On Jul 26, 2019 |
Toju200:Bro...I understand what you mean..but you gatta realize the nation is at war . Nigeria is on fire. Boko Haram is not the sole threat facing this nation. The capability gaps have been exploited by unscrupulous elements. Nigeria has the security imperative and money needed to build the beg fighting force the black world has ever seen. Remember when they retired the 25 Mig-21s and spent $360 million on 15 F-7Ni fighters, the Air Force said it was a stop gap measure and the capability gap will be plugged soon. This was 2005..long before Boko Haram. The stop gap aircraft is now th3 backbone of the Nigerian Air Defence and interdiction fleet. FOUR. How many billion dollars have been spent between 2005 and 2018? Dasukigate siphoned $15 billion meant for arms. If $15 billion got missing and Nigeria did not crash, how will investing $15 billion on defence bankrupt the national economy? The government earmarks $1 billion a year strictly for bullets and munitions. $1 billion is the combined defence budget of Cameroon and Chad combined. That's for operational expenses alone. Besides removing almost a billion dollars from the nation's external reserve should only be done in the case of a national emergency crises, not long term acquisition. No Nigerian should look forward to still battling Boko Haram in 2025. At this point the rate of desertion will be so great the government might institute the draft if the territorial integrity of the country comes perilously close to collapsing. |
