This is Nigeria, serve the rich and remain poor or do your own hustle and become rich.

Richness is in the mind, not leader, not even your parents.

Here is the logic to his predicament: All of them that are working at the wing of presidency secure the job with juju.

This reminds me of Folorunsho Alakija the former Taylor of Maryam babangida. She made use of her opportunity well serving the First Lady. Now she’s the richest woman in Africa. Baba did not ask for his own oil well while doing all cooking

I am from the same village with this man , one of the problem of the Idoma people is that they are so comfortable and don't go extra mile for anything, let me share my family experience one of my uncle was serving. Chris oloko in onitsha the Ibo man saw the talent in my uncle and offer to take him to abroad including all expenses paid I think this event happened around 1994, all what he need is to go to the village and seek his parent concert only for my uncle to come home and my grand parent advice him not to go, that he will go to America and be working while the Ibo man will be collecting his salary in Nigeria how possible is this as I speak that my uncle is still struggling in onitsha.

Another of my uncle got the talent of fixing the late governor of eastern state col. Anthony ochefu generator the retired army col. Volunteer to take him abroad again the same parent advice him not to go that the man will use his destiny I mean (my grand parent)this are people that have not travelled out of benue state yet know how the use people destiny abroad
Can any one know the reason while the idoma are backwards and under developed, oppress by the tiv in all aspect of governance in benue state, because they are lazy , they don't push hard in life and are contended with their perciant lifestyle

Though i feel for him,
You're right bro, he had the rare opportunity to make the right connections, that's why i often tell people that a closed mouth is a close destiny.

exactly my point. I m idoma from where he came from. I was surprised to hear something Muhammad. Idoma man bearing that name? That's his first fall, his people were never happy with him, he's cursed.
So, from all the points, his name was what you picked and not even considering that his present condition may be caused by lack of planning or financial recklessness. So if he had retired a Billionaire, they'd still have deserted him? undecided undecided

Very unfortunate but I think his lifestyle while he was still young is questionable

The truth and reality is only Karma works this way..

Whenever we have opportunities in life, we should try and help others, we never know tomorrow

God bless you. You just said what I was thinking when I was reading the whole write-up.

Typical Nigerian. You see an old man suffering, instead of consoling or looking for a way to help, you are looking for who to blame.

This man had the opportunity to embezzle and make life better for his children but no, he wanted to live a honest life, see where it has landed him. Nigeria is not a place where honesty pays. The truth must be told. grin

Thanks for reading...

His highest salary was 25k??

Why do we have billions for Household budget? What do they spend the money on??

Nigerian politicians are heartless. That's why Rochas could afford to owe pensioners and civil servants their peanut salaries, meanwhile his wife owns a massive and expensive estate.

So how should we help him resolve this?

At this age and stage? Is it not too late already?
It's basically a lesson for the younger generation like us to fully maximise the opportunities that come our way.

If he had helped some people while in the corridors of power, those people would have helped him or his children now,...... He misused a lifetime opportunity that a graduate of today will jump at.
