We already do, and I'd like to use this medium to apologize to all Igbo's on nairaland who've tasted my derision because of ipob issue, I may not like Mazi Kanu as a person, but nevertheless he was right and is indeed a great man!
bless you bro. I didn't like Nnamdi Kanus method too and even spoke about it but times has change and everything is beginning to pan out without his involvement.

He too has learned his lessons and only speak when necessary.

Bless you bro.

Why the hell did I not see this thread earlier?

Ok....
I'm from the middle belt and I believe this British marriage called Nigeria will one day end up. My only prayer is that when it does, let me not be part of the Northern Nigeria.

Northern Nigeria has drawn us backwards, feeding on the resources of the entire country. An averagw core northerner doesn't see beyond government money.

Sometimes I ask myself what the core northerners have?

No oil, no land to farm, no human resources. Their large land mass is just to accommodate almajiri.
When (not if) this country splits up, northern Nigeria will end up like Somalia, drought and famine will be their trademarks.

Another self appointed political jobber depending on bigotry and divisive rhetoric to position himself as a local champion of the imaginary area and ppl he claims to represent.

If anyone can stand up and restructure any composite part of Nigeria by mere fiat or such declaration; then perhaps Kanu and his ilk would have long achieved the secession of Biafra from Nigeria - but as we all know, it is load of hot air of no consequence.

I am not sure how to attach images here but I hope I did it right.

I just added the Nigerian map. Please look at it and tell me where the middle bet states sit. North or South? I have always wondered why they were attached to the North. Even the middle belt Forum don't even notice the positioning. They seem to agree they are geographically in the North.

Just wondering.

Interestingly, you are right. Plus southern parts of Kaduna, Bauchi, Gombe and Adamawa, all of which are predominantly christian.

Here is my advice and counter message to Isuwa's statement.

This is a front that the entire South need to support and speak as one voice on....thr issue of Middle Belt.

Let us begin to address Middle Belt and stop giving it any Northern reference going forward. Our joint voices will reinforce Isuwa's resolve and change mindset on the internet and social media. People know of North because Fulani always reinforce the 19 states as North. No one ever countered them. Now that a spokesperson in Middle Belt has passed this resolution to be separated from North and be an independent zone known as Middle Belt, let us support his voice. I call on SW, SS and SE to act along and stop accepting North as 19 states.

North henceforth is twelve states comsisting two zones -

Kebbi - NW
Sokoto - NW
Zamfara - NW
Katsina - NW
Kaduna - NW
Kano - NW
Jigawa - NW
Bauchi - NE
Gombe - NE
Yobe - NE
Borno - NE
Adamawa - NE

Middle Belt States are
Niger
Nassarawa
Plateau
Taraba
Benue
Kogi
Kwara
FCT is also a MB territory.

Please people I beg you this is how we can demyth the Northern population and land mass gag on rest of the country...and ultimately suspend them from rulership for many years while we have time to completely dismantle their privilege.

If we agree and follow this the only region that can be Islamized and Fulanized is the twelve Northern States. Their push to Islamize South will be aborted. This is crucial.

But southern leaders have always referred to them as MB. I think it behoves upon them to assert their middle-beltship.

If i may ask, did all the governors of the MB attend the recent so-called security summit in Canada ?
If they did, then they are not asserting their middle-beltship.

They are northerners.... simple

Nothing like middle belts on cardinal points.
What do you understand by cardinal point, man?
The word middle belt is the appropriate term used in every country of the world to describe the central region of a country. Geographically and English wise, there is nothing like "Northcentral". This word is only use in Nigeria. To prove my point, just Google search the word "Northcentral" you see that it is only associated with Nigeria. There is nothing like north central; just as there is nothing like south central... You will never find it in any English dictionary. This word was coined and imposed on the middle belt to give the North political advantage over the south in terms of population and psychological edge in elections. And guess what? It is working for them.....

Now i see why my friend said that poor people are the most wicked set of people. While poor non-entities here on nairaland are busy "planning" and strategising on how to divide the north, and deny them leadership position for a long time or even forever, the rich elite northerners are busy doing their things silently. No wonder even buhari seems to be only appointing northerners into big positions, because all past leaders did same. Obj killed off northern industries and institutions and handed everything important to his yoruba people, gej made sure to enrich his niger delta people with unimaginable amount of wealth that even militants were rich, now that buhari is doing same by slowly but surely empowering the north, they hate is to the bone. We in the north know that u hate us and wish us evil, thats why we can never share government positions equally with u people, we must always be the majority in every government agency and continue to deliberately dominate the armed forces, continue with ur hate.

Westerners have always been ignorant to this fact! People with their own culture and traditions are called northerners I just look at them and laugh. The middle belt is self sufficient and if we all go our separate ways then you should be well assured this part will thrive. I like how this is going. cheesy

Oh is that so? I'm sure the minority tribes of the Niger Delta can tell us more how the Biafean soldiers dealt ruthlessly with them during the civil war.

I also heard that while the Yoruba neighbors in the southwest were busy collecting rent for the Igbo landlord neighbours who fled and and came back to meet their properties intact, the south south weren't so generous with the Igbo properties left behind.

Awolowo who y'all love to hate also kept the Eastern region's federal allocations for them all through the war period and remitted same to them after the war.

#facts.

Which #facts?

You mean the awolowo that ordered the clearance of whatever every igbo man has in the bank prior to the war to be given 20pounds each to start life(thats if you have any money in the bank at all) stating that the igbo caused the war and must bear the burdles

what do we currently get from them? And ofcourse the jig is up, up in your arszz that is. There was nothing that the north was gaining from the mb, we have everything we need. 90% of the maize, cows, goats, tomato, potato, millet, sorghum, wheat, etc that you see in nija today are farmed in the core north that you hate so much. The agricultural output of jigawa, kano, kebbi alone can feed this whole country, and am sure niger and nasarawa will surely not go with the socalled mb. What now does benue and plateau farm other than yam and oranges and maybe some potatoe? All the important staple crops are farmed up north mehn. If anything, the mb need us more than you think. Can you see that you just can't help your obsession with Yoruba? You are on every single topic with "we Yoruba" and your fellow igbos keep liking your comments by the 100's without anyone suggesting you get help. You igbos will continue to live under Yoruba's shadow as the people you strive to be but can't in 100 lifetimes. Bow and humble to your superior, there is nothing you can do about us. What a wasted existence.
