I've been following this thread for sometime now but I have a few questions and I'll appreciate if you could help me with some answers and clarification. I'm hopeful for an ITA soon.

1) I figured that most people after getting a gift deed done still invest the money in treasury bill or Fixed deposit and submit investment certificate to CIC. Is there a particular reason for that as opposed to having the money lie in the account and printing bank statement of past six months showing current balance?

2) Can Medical examination and PCC be done prior to receiving ITA?

Gurus please help a brother.

Your questions, sir, belie your assertion that you "have been following this thread for sometime now." smiley

Hello guys,

So I woke up to see the golden RFV email on my phone after battling this journey for this long. grin grin grin

This came after I posted that I raised a CSE expressing the travesty that was done in the evaluation of my POF by the case officer who stated an amount well below what I had declared. I prepared my counter-argument and requested that a review be done again as I believe that this could be a reason for the delay I have experienced which is totally unfair.

However, so the story goes and on this note, my watch has ended.

I would like to thank everyone that has contributed by sharing info or providing updates of their journey as well.

VO: Ottawa
CRS 461
AOR 29th Nov 2018
Medical Passed Jan 8th 2019
Biometrics submitted 9th Jan 2019
The only update recently seen on my profile is that my Biometrics has been completed.
GCMS notes received 4th July
RFV 23 July 2019

Yes medicals can be done before ita (its valid for a year) pcc is valid for 3 months

Please I want to ask the gurus in the house some qstns:

1. In submitting POF do you tell them all the account you operate with various banks? NO YOU DONT NEED TO
2. do you submit Passport of the person who gift you funds for POF NO YOU DONT NEED THIS TOO
3. I have siblings who have traveled abroad in the last 10years, but I have not, how should I answer the Travel History question: Yes or No YOU WILL ANSWER YES FOR THE SIBLINGS PART AND NO FOR YOUR PART

Thank you in anticipation.

Hello dadas1112, the reason why people thread that path is because the money wouldn’t have stayed in the account for 6months so just a statement of account may not suffice. In addition, getting a return on investment is also not a bad idea instead of having it just sitting pretty in your account with just 3%

2. You can do your medicals and PCC upfront. Infact, it will even help in fast tracking your application submission

I asked this question before but I haven't gotten a response. I have waec and neco although I have been using waec all through my admission and some other registrations.
I have heard how tough it is to get WAEC send the results to WES. So can I use my NECO?
What are the merits and processes of evaluating NECO over WAEC? Thanks.

For waec you need to visit their office in Lagos or at least send someone there while for neco you just need to post it to them. You may spend a bit more for neco. For the timing, i believe waec processing is faster.

This doesn’t have anything to do with your application. I used my marital name when I applied to WES for evaluation and my certificate carries my maiden name.

My report is out now and it didn’t affect it one bit since both my marital and maiden name has been quoted in my express entry submission

I am in the pool already but still pre-ita, I have only entered my Marital name so far, will there be spaces to enter my maiden name post ita?

Congrats. May Canada favour you.

Good morning
Ottawa has finally released us!
Details coming soon

Two questions: can any other person (my husband) aside from the primary applicant submit our passports?

Our application was processed at Ottawa, can we raise CSE that our passports be submitted to a nearer visa office, say Ghana?

May God grant the desires of our hearts speedily in Jesus'name.

Shalom!

Flopretty:

Pls help with these questions;

1. My NYSC discharge certificate reads ''from November 2016 to October 2017'' but we actually reported to camp in January 2017 and resumed at the school where i served in February 2017 and finished December 2017. Do i fill the date on my NYSC certificate or the actual date(Feb. - Dec 2017) in my EE profile?

2. If the date on NYSC certificate is to be used. The bank statement shows alawee payment starting from February 2017 but not Nov.2016. How do i reconcile this?

3. The school where i served is only ready to give letter quoting the actual date which Feb.2017 to Dec 2017. How do you think i can solve this issue?

1) In your case, I would suggest you use January 2017- December 2017, so no need attaching your discharge certificate, your bank statement and reference letter will suffice.
2) Don't attach your discharge certificate.
3) Are you using only your NYSC work experience to claim points? If yes, then Feb to Dec won't be up to one year. Can you explain to the person that will be giving you the reference letter what you want to use the letter for and how important that extra one month is?

Yes, I think. You should state the full amount in the deed.

glitchyyy:
Hello all, does it matter if the transfers done to me from the same person are in two tranches and from different accounts?
Will one gift deed be enough to cover both transactions?

My dear, I thinkyou should be able to do this yourself. Here's the link to the crs tool: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp
Also read pagr 1 and thoroughly absorb IRCC''s website on express entry
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry.html
It is better for you to take ownership of your application now so you don't waste money, this is a costly process. Good luck.

Allright, i appreciate. Thank you!

Why is your spouse not accompanying? You will provide proof of funds for your number of family whether accompanying or not. Why can’t you apply as spouse accompanying so you can claim point from your spouse’s education and English test so as to boost your point. Spouse can just do a short landing and head back to Nigeria as soon as he or she gets PR card.

As for your profile since you didn’t indicate which one is LRWS, I assume it is. With that your CRS score is 446, which was okay ast at the year 2018 but for 2019, no one knows at the moment, I wouldn’t totally rule out your chances but with the situation of things now, you may need to chill very well in the pool and wait till the CRS score drop to that point. You would get more point if your spouse accompanies so as to get points from education and English test. Spouse accompanying is better even if he/she wouldn’t live there as compared to doing sponsorship route which from what I read here is time consuming.

To the seniors, I stand to be corrected.

My DH has shown no interest whatsoever in it, ... He just feels its out of reach, thats why i thought its something i can just run myself. But thanks for ur advice i will push him harder. smiley

I wrote mine (BC) a week after I booked. So, it depends on how lucky one is in getting slots.

Thanks for your reply Maam. Do you know if IOM provides this kind of protective cover? I heard q life won't go ahead with the medcal until baby is in 6 months plus prolly because they don't have the shielding/cover.

Oh, I'm sorry I don't know. Others can help clarify that part. Or you can search for the hospital's contact number and ask.

Yes IOM in Abuja does, I was a few weeks pregnant when we went for medicals, they will talk to you and still ask you to confirm if you’re comfortable going ahead with the X-ray.
Congratulations

You don't need to go to neco office, just post it to their head office in Minna. Contact neco through their customers service lines for details.
