If Nigerians don't take advantage of this and come out en masse the redefine what they believe in then may Nigerians keep suffering till everybody is dead.
People complain and complain and complain, but when there's time to act everybody retreats into their one bedroom dilapidated apartment. The countries we all run to today were forged by serious civil resistance.

The comments under this thread are disgusting and so disappointing.

I have nearly 24hrs light in my estate and my prepaid bill stands at about 30k/month. The issue is now not about the near constant light, its the ability to pay your bills. A folk opposite my own house have stopped putting on his fence and gate lights so is so many others.
Just to tell you that constant light is just the beginning of another trouble.
So I added in one of my container shipment, a Solar panels and Batteries which powers my home. I don't wait for any useless government as you will end up being disappointed neither will I waste my energy demonstrating in the streets on what always seem to have a political connotation/dimension.

We contributed about 5million to fix our estate road and luckily enough LG is working in Lagos so CDA's easily get their attention. I spend more time outside the country just as I spend here. I know where I feel at home.
My good friend lives in Dubai and his energy bill stands around 50k per month. Many there are miserable just as many here. They are simply compensated by better amenities which makes them 'think' all is well when in actual sense it isn't.
Lastly, what am I doing with Mopol? Did I steal anything that doesn't belong to me? When you live a glamorous lifestyle then expect trouble.
Re: ‘Days Of Rage’: Sowore’s AAC To Protest Across Nigeria, August 5 by StaffofOrayan(m): 1:46pm On Jul 29, 2019
Can't we be 'compensated' in Nigeria?
Instead of this suffering and smiling that we are well known for?
The only reason Nigeria is the way it is is because the elite have realized they can send their wards to places where life works and count on peeps like you to convince everybody it's their fault they steal and refuse to fix the country.
But hey let's buy bigger generators and solar panels, while small business keeps packing up

I will be expecting Burna Boy to join in the protest as he had once promised to join any protest that will change the political schemes of Nigeria. maybe when we see some real people.. then we can take it serious...

One of the reasons they send their kids away was actually the point you just raised, security (Mopol). A governor can walk alone in the streets of UK or wherever without security but over here he have chains of bodyguards. The question is why?
I have a family friend at Ikoyi that Mopol takes the kid to school and back. When they factor the cost of paying for security they might later opt for abroad instead.
What you and I demand can actually not be achieved even in 20 years but we have to start somewhere.
Can you build all roads, power stations, Transmission lines, Railways, etc etc etc all in 10 years? Its impossible giving the crooks who are in power all over the country. While you stay there and lament, I figured out a way to keep my household and businesses moving. It have to do with the state of ones mind. Blame games are signs of failure.

Don’t ask me weither I am afraid or worried about the legal implications of what I am saying. I am carrying out a historical duty and only history can judge me not a prosecutor or a federal judge. You can’t kill somebody who is not afraid of death,

This man is not scared of anything.

No one is finding a way to be rich. All we demand is basic Amenities. Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia all enjoy basic Amenities from Electricity to Good roads and healthcare down to a listening Government. We are not asking to be enriched. The poorest person in France enjoy these things.
Have you been to those countries you mentioned?
Re: ‘Days Of Rage’: Sowore’s AAC To Protest Across Nigeria, August 5 by StaffofOrayan(m): 2:13pm On Jul 29, 2019
All this is Grammer
The black race always try to make the best of a situation as opposed to improving it.
That's why we were the last race to get out of slavery, and I say that generously
The countries we all run to have all fought a revolution against their elites, it is inevitable.

Newboss:
He should state his agenda explicitly, without any ambiguity. Nigerians should open their eyes and become more objective. Ain't we tired of being sheeples? Jumping from one foolish move to the other because we never think.

We're all upset about the state of the nation. Then somebody comes from somewhere shouting revolution. Some people follow him shouting revolution. Baba, what is your plan about the so called revolution? Abi your plan is spiritual? Lol. Let's be reasonable. Is the plan to get rid of Buhari? Protests will not add one MW to the grid. Protest will not reduce unemployment. Protest will not create industries. Protest will not change the corrupt average Nigerian who will even be part of the "revolution". Lol

How long are we going to keep jumping at any sound of "change"? Buhari used this same change thing to get in that year. Everyone who could think objectively could see that Buhari had nothing to offer but loud criticism.

Now, people are shouting revolution but never really ask "what's the plan?"

Provide electricity, jobs, bla bla bla. That is not a plan! That's the noise we've heard for ages.

Prayer, shouting, fasting, breaking glasses, carrying placards, etc, CAN NEVER provide electricity or jobs.

What is the plan? You want to reboot the system, abi? What's the plan?
I laugh when I hear people say they want revolution. Do they know the meaning of revolution? I guest many of the people on nairaland are kids who do not understand anything. Even Sowere who should have known better talks as though he is a child. One has to obtain a police permit before a protest can be held and I don't think he has been given the go ahead. The police have every right to declare illegal any protest held for which permission was not given. I hope people understand that.

Another thing is what is the purpose of the proposed protest? If the intention is to unseat the government, then I think Sowere doesn't know what is talking. No matter the flaws of the last elections, the government is legally constituted and if there is any grievance the court is there to attend to the aggrieved. Any agitation outside of what the law permits will be met with force.

If it is revolution in the real sense of it that Sowere wants, then he must be suffering from self-delusion. He should be asked if he knows what revolution is. Perhaps he thinks revolution is the same as mere street protest.

Good one. But let me ask you, can an average Nigerian afford the solar like u said u did.

Let me tell u. The poorest man in France get all of the basic amenities without any form of stress. JUST KNOW IT, OUR GOVERNMENT IS BAD AND CORRUPT.
