Those countries will report their suicides far better than what Nigeria does. Nothing works in Nigeria.

They are not the same thing...mind...everyone has different circumstances.

But an assumption most Nigerians make is that if they are rich or living in a place where everything works, they would be automatically happy. The suicide rates in many rich countries that are higher than Nigeria disproves that.

It does not mean Nigeria is a well run country, mind.

Yeah, Poorer countries actually have the higher suicide rates than richer ones. Why the western world is more desired is not just because of wealth but also because of political and social factors. In the western world, there is an actual functioning legal system which doesn’t exist in Africa, crime is much lower and so is insecurity. There are so many factors be it political, social or economic that contribute to suicide rates and mental health challenges. No one is going to be happy in a country where nothing works.

I sincerely don't believe so. May be it is because we don't have firearms like USA...and we are very religious.

The most religious countries on earth are far more violent than the less religious ones. Nothing in Nigeria works, not the legal system, electricity, roads, healthcare system etc.
