My course is Chemical engineering and my intended msc is chemical engineering /environmental engineering
The schoola I found are all via uni assist and all require English test (TOEFL/IELTS). I would encourage everyone aiming for summer to write TOEFL/IELTS (I prefer IELTS) since there are limited number of schools to increase your chances of getting admission. And also don't rule Uniassist.
Try downloading the daad brochure i believe you will have more options of schools you can apply to

If u start the process from Nigeria, within 2weeks, you should v unblocked..
How to unblock Fintiba account

Assessing ur cash on Fintiba can take up to 2 weeks but it can be less if u start d process on time...like from home b4 even entering Germany

1. Upload a copy of your visa and input visa start date*: You don't need to be in Germany to do this. As soon as u receive ur visa from embassy please snap d page clearly or scan and upload it on ur page, fill d start date too. The verification of d visa takes like 3 days so its beta d days start counting from when ur home.

2. Legitimation Process: Once ur visa and date has been verified, a postident will be genetated for u. Download d postident and go to any post office in Germanu (preferably our lovely DHL)..Once u show d personal dere, he/she will know wat to do..u'll be asked for ur passport. The service is free of charge.

The Legimation process (posting of d postident by dhl to sutor bank in Hamburg) takes 3 days for verification. So if u had already uploaded ur visa at home, once u touch down in Germany u'll just have to go staight for legitimation & u'll wait for just 3 days as compared to when u upload ur visa here in Germany ( 3 days visa verification + 3 days legitimation = 6 days hunger and frustration if u don't have cash on u).

3. Upload ur enrollment cert or Admission letter: Once u download ur postident, plz upload ur admission letter immediately or enrollment cert if u have enrolled. Admission letter verification is part of d legitimation process so ur 3 days start counting too only when ur letter has been uploaded.

4. Enter your German phone number: After legitimation, u'll den be asked to put ur German phone number. Verification of dis number is immediate cuz u'll also receive ur MTan ( a 6-digit code) which u'll input on Fintiba immediately.

5. Enter your IBAN and set your payout date: Once u put ur number, u'll now have d option of putting d IBAN of d account u opened in Germany. (This is where another delay comes). In some cities, it might be possible to get ur account details d same day while in some its not d case. In Sparkasse for instance, u might be given an appointment to come after a week wen you get to d bank so you would only be able to get your IBAN & details 1 week after visiting d bank. So I suggest, once u touch down in Germany too, go straight to open an account. Although in some cities too u can't open account w/o having ur city reg cert and u can't get ur city reg cert w/o having a rental contract and u can't have a rental contract if u haven't paid for accommodation so I'll also advice, if ur using blocked account, come with like 1k on ur hand so u'll checkmate all dese logistics and unforseen circumstances.

Once u put ur IBAN details, u can set ur 1st pay out date. 1st payout is usually a double of d normal 720 amount (1440).

U'll still be asked too to upload ur city reg cert and input ur German Tax Identification Number which u will obtain from the Finanzamt of ur city...but dese two cannot prevent u from paying out so don't boda much but u must do it.

Please guys can one unblock his account immediately he gets to Germany if not, how long will it take?

Dates are not readily available in Lagos and it's even worse in Abuja. Please come to Lagos

Please I need direction.
I have a scholarship from NDDC to study at university of Bremen. I would like to know if the scholarship From NDDC can be used as a means of funding instead of the block account.
Please if there is someone studying with NDDC scholarship in this platform should help me out on what to do.

Best regards!

Please can anyone tell me what to do. I have a scholarship from NDDC. Will it be accepted as a valid means of funding during my visa application process.

Danke.

What the consulate specified is a scholarship from a German organization or an European organization. I really don't know if they will honor that of NDDC. What you might do is to come with block account opening confirmation and pray NDDC honor their agreement on time so that you will get your visa ready.

Oh, you are one of the awardees. Congratulations. But I think what the embassy is on the look out for is Scholarship from a German institution or organization. All the same, take your scholarship letter to the embassy on the day of your interview.

Thanks for the information.

How do you do? Please I want to know the process of applying for VPD.

Thank you.

I need advice please. I'm awaiting appointment date, online enrollment has started, lecture starts Oct. 4th and my account is just 3m naira

Send an email to the course coordinator to confirm if they can give you an enrollment extension till November, then you rebook for an appointment date using middle or end of November as date of visit, while you run around and meet people to assist you with the remaining amount considering the length of time available to you. If the above is not possible, ask them if you can defer to summer, that's if the program have a summer option, if not, start now to be on the look for schools offering your course of interest for summer semester. All the very best

Morning Sass,

How do you do? Please I want to know the process of applying for VPD.

Thank you.

You can only apply for VPD if the school you're applying to requests for it. VPD is like a preliminary evaluation of your certificate and transcripts, You send your docs to Uniassist and they'll evaluate it and send you the VPD. You then send the VPD (and any other docs the school requests for) to the school you're applying to. If the school doesn't ask for VPD There is no need to get it.
To apply for VPD,
- Login to your Uniassist account
- Select "Search Study Offers"
- Select the school you intend applying to
- Select degree type (Bachelor, Master etc)
- Click on "Summer 2020“
- Don't click on the academic field part, leave it blank
- Then click Start search

I am new here.
Please I want to know if a scholarship From NDDC can cover for my funding during the visa stage.

It's urgent because my semester is starting in October.

Someone should please guide me.

Thanks.

Based on the instructions given by the consulate, only German or European based scholarships are tenable.
I can suggest that you Mail the embassy to clarify. They are in the best position to tell you what they accept.
If the scholarship is worth 4M, you could ask NDDC to fund the Blocked account for you.

PS: You shouldn't quote long posts in full. You can edit and cut off a large portion of it to conserve space.

The embassy doesn't send emails when a visa application is rejected. They only return the documents, together with an official letter that states the reason for Rejection.

I'm open to correction if there's any contrary answer

For those coming for Master in Mechatronics and Cyber-physical Systems, the president decided that intake will be in Cham for Summer and Deggendorf, main campus for Winter, starting from now.

So you all who got admitted, you're going to be in the main campus, Deggendorf. Which is way better and more fun than where we are currently, Cham.

Also, I do not have information regards to hostels, accommodation and all about Deggendorf, so please, desist from questions like that.
