Magnifico2000:the coach gave reasons why that hasn't happened: osimhen is learning from the old guy and he said osimen was falling too easily during training - that he wants him to be surefooted and strong in front of markers. Have you seen him play in Belgian league? He's good. |

Magnifico2000:How can you compare him to Ighalo this a young blad bro, he just sign his 2 club, don’t forget he was the top scorer for the flying eagles who last won the World Cup |
| Re: Victor Osimhen Resumes Training With Lille, His New Club by Olufemiolaolu(m): 12:45pm On Aug 02, 2019 |
Magnifico2000:you are too narrow minded. Did ighalo become our number 9 overnight? With time he will become our constant 9 |
| Re: Victor Osimhen Resumes Training With Lille, His New Club by Curry30: 1:42pm On Aug 02, 2019 |
Liamm:Believe me, he's really good. A typical goal poacher. Last season he was massive for Sporting Chaleroi in Belgium. I hope he keeps WORKING hard and stay true to his game. |

Magnifico2000:Are you for real? He's overrated and if he's that good? He's overrated and yet TWO different Clubs have signed him within a space of TWO months? Pray,do you count 10 before you count 1? You want him to take the number 9 Jersey from Ighalo without kicking a ball for the Super Eagles? Guy,Abeg park well.. ![]() |

ogbonti:How exactly did you expect a 20 year old who had not even made his debut to just waltz into the Super Eagles and become the number 9 at the AFCON? Even Messi as talented as he was,he was chopping bench at the 2006 World Cup because it was not yet his time, The Brazilian Ronaldo (The Phenomenonal ONE) at the 1994 World Cup did NOT even smell the pitch, even though he was in their WC Squad.. Life is a stage and everyone will get their turn.. And by the way,Akpoborie and Akwuegbu were NOT exactly Super Eagles Contemporaries.. |

Overrated for where? Actually, I do expect Victor Osimhen, along with my boy Samuel Chukwueze, to become world class players very soon. Mark my words. I know talent when I see one! Henry Onyekuru has the talent as well but he might be just a lil too lightweight to compete with the top top players. O pari safarigirl: |

DarkJeddi:You are just mixing apples and oranges.. let me school you a bit There was a certain 18 year old, who played all games for the Indomptable Lions of Cameroun at Nigeria/Ghana AFCON -2000. This 18 year old punished Nigeria by scoring the second goal for Cameroun and they were up 2- 1 first half, and eventually won the cup. That 18 year old later became 19 years old and led Cameroun to win Olympics gold medal at Sydney Olympics Soccer. He came back 2 years later as a 20 year old to win AFCON 2002 ( a consecutive AFCON win for Cameroun) partnering with Patrick Mboma, in Cameroun's attack..same year he was featured and he scored at Korea/Japan world cup. That same guy later won 3 EUFA Champions League with Barca and Inter, many La Laliga titles and 3rd best player in the world... numerous titles I can't mention That guy is Samuel Eto'o Fils. Cameroun believed in him, they allowed him play and benched older and experienced players like Tapoko Guy, Alphonse Tchami, and Desire Job, because the Coach Pierre Lechantre told FECAFOOT, "Eto'o is the future, let's give him the chance to play and develop" What about little 17 year old Raheem, who played for Algeria at Algiers 90 Nations cup, his goals made sure Algeria won the cup that year. What about 21 year old Emmanuel Amunike who scored twice to make sure Nigeria won the 1994 AFCON finals against Zambia? I hear you making comparison to Messi, but that is Argentina... there is an abundance of talents there to allow Messi wait a while and also he was trying to focus at Barca to unseat Ronaldinho.. to do that he needed stay at Barca and focus on taking that jersey from the world's best at that time...and he did in 2008 Same was with Ronaldo... there was and still and abundance of talents in the selecao team of Brazil. When Ronaldo was trying to break in that team, you had Rivaldo, Giovanni Eber, Bebeto, Romario, Rai, Flavio Conceicao, and a host of others playing at their prime, so he could wait to develop at Barcelona. Where are those players that are so outstanding in the Super Eagles to make Osimhen wait and be on the bench? No sentiments, Rohr goofed by putting that man on the bench all tournament long but I believe he had the marching orders to do so for some reason I mentioned earlier. There was no reason that guy was not featured for even one game, At least he should have featured in the 3rd place game against Tunisia Lastly you said Akpoborie and Akwuegbu were not contempoaries at SE? You must be high on oshogbo weed Akpoborie played U-17 world cup China 85, Akwuegbu played U-16 world cup at Scotland 89, with the likes of Victor Ikpeba, Kayode Keshinro, Jide Oguntuwase, John Zaki etc. So in 1997 when Akpoborie was invited by SE Coach Phillipe Troussier, to play agains the Syli Stars of Guinea, Ikpeba from Scotland 89, a team mate of Akwegbu, was playing as a regular for Super Eagles. Don't forget Ikpeba was the 23rd player taken to USA 94 world cup by Clemence Westerhoff, so what is your point that Akwuegbu and Akpoborie were not in the same set at SE? |
