The only thing Pepe showed at the AFCON was his ability from Setpieces. Aside that, he flopped big time no doubt at Afcon 2019.

Leao's stats for that amount is really something. Well it is because it is Ligue 1 and strikers no dey much for market again.

andrew444:

You saw pepe at afcon nah nothing much ,thou I won't judge by international football because club football is the Koko ,I hopes he comes good

That's why I want our player to go to better league ,imagine onyekuru scoring in France as he has don in turkey and Belgium i can gurantee him a 45million move

Look at that guy osimhen replaced at Lille ,dude didn't score more than 8 goals and he joined ac millan for 35 million ,if Na turkey or Belgium who go buy am that amount ,e no go pass 20 million if Na Belgium ,as worst as osimhen will be he score more than 10 goals

Hope you know tielemans stepping stone to the Epl was Monaco ? He even did well in is few months loan stint in the Epl than almost the 2 seasons he spent at Monaco ,he was bought for 45million euros immediately .

Thing is Pepe has more eyes for goals compared to Zaha. Lad is more goals driven.

Half of the goals he scored in ligue 1 he won't score them in EPL

But salah scored more goals in the epl than seria A does it mean seria A is tougher than the epl?

Two things actually....

1. Salah simply got better and was utilised to his strengths effectively by Klopp who played him much closer to the 18' yard box from the RWF role. At Roma, Salah had to sometimes hug the touchlines and occasionally cut into central areas... But at Liverpool, he was consistently played closer to the opponents' box in the final third. This produced more opportunities for Salah who then used his intelligence and finishing prowess to dominate the EPL.

2. Serie A emphasizes defence much more than the EPL.

This is the jersey of a 2nd division club in Tunisia.. not made by Nike... but I thought they had copyright policy in place to prevent things like this.

Won't be surprised if they don't anyway...Aba and Chinese boys made plenty replica even before the official launch..

this jersey will forever remain popular sha grin ..

If only we played quality football to match with the jersey.

I think Pepe deliberately played below 70% at the AFCON to avoid injuries. If he had coped an injury that will that for him.
He's managed by a willy buisness man agent like Jorge Mendez, you shouldn't expect any less. This is one of the reasons big names hardly do well at Afcons.
