If Nacho wasn't showing such good form in the first place won't most here still cry that the guy is not serious? Now he is gradually reasserting himself ahead of the season proper and Rohr is picking the positives only stating that Nacho knows he is part of the team and will be called back should he maintain this new found professional attitude to the business side of the game as a player.

Stop crying foul already. Rohr is not wrong to acknowledge Nacho's new foujd form.
Relax chief.. we are all hoping Iheanacho comes back stronger. but using pre season performance as a yardstick for a recall doesn't sound right.. remember he performed well during the last pre season too...
Let the league starts then we will see...

Was the Percy Tau that made Rohr pee his pants as physically imposing as any of onyekuru and Osimhen? U should know his motives way before he made the post nah
Of course. his motives are very clear for all to see. however I have problem with those who are supporting the excuse of the duo being lightweight and not physically imposing enough for Africa football..

Nuff said my brother...nuff said.

Its not like there aren't other strikers out there waiting to grab their chances too...

if Nacho can hit form once the season start,he will retain his position as first choice striker without doubt. until then. let's see ....

Somebody here was of the opinion that Ajayi performed well with Rotterham last season because they play kick and rush football. WestBrom is a different team with a different style of play. We shall see if the person was right (I'm sure u know who cheesy)

There are ajebutter children born in Lagos with Yoruba parents that can't speak Yoruba.

I mentioned 3 players but u focused only on "both of them" for obvious reasons...

It's alright. Onyekuru has been consistent for every club he has played for since he started playing professional football, but being lightweight is the only excuse for him not starting for the super eagles... Sadio Mane is currently one of Africa's best player. imagine if Aliou Cisse decided that Mane shouldn't be starting any game for Senegal because he is lightweight.. lol..Even Salah with his small frame dy captain Egypt... But Osimhen and Onyekuru are too small to start for the super eagles !
It's alright.. grin
Sane and Mane may not be the tallest but they are not lightweights. They are very strong and not easily shaken off the ball.

When did Maja join Bordeaux? Was it not during the summer?

How many matches did he play afterward? 7 games

How many goals did he score? 1 goal

That was scored even in the last game he played before he was injured.

I'm taking into consideration his length of stay in Ligue 1. it's still his job to force his way into the manager's line-up whenever he is fit, even if it means starting from the bench.
And as I said we are still waiting for him to light up the league. I'm not saying he cannot do so eventually. The stats you reeled out is not convincing enough for a lion from league one. grin

oga i've looked at that already.
Is his stats convincing or not, without sentiments? The truth is he has not started yet. He needs to fight to start from the bench at least consistently. If it's KC, and he does not get enough game time for Leicester, I will say the same thing. I no dey look face. The boy can come good eventually. But he has not done it yet. I won't celebrate 1 goal.

The fact remains Rohr looks his way now because he has seen signs of a comeback from the lad. With Ighalo's retirement, Nacho is the only striker proven in the GWG right now aside Musa (who mostly plays from the left). His stats are still good and Rohr cannot be blamed for acting on the positives seen so far from his one time leading marksman before the drop in form.
Ighalo wey go come back. grin

It's too early to say his stats is convincing or not. Let us see what happens this season.

It's not as if he scored one goal in 30 matches.

Yes I agree. But the context here is that I expect a lion from league one to start setting Ligue 1 on fire right away.

Semi Ajayi has been at the heart of the Baggies' defense.
