The lady who did omugwo to me during my first childbirth is a northerner who was like a mother to my husband and the family.
She is a christian( husband converted to christianity) and have been living in their bq for ages. Their family is like our extended family and there are so many like that in the north.
They don't have voice against the Muslim dominated north.
And every time there is attach in Maidugri, I'm always worried about her and her family.

Guy, it doesn't take such.
When the former governor of my state decided to construct school building in my state, (Peter obi), it wasted no time.
Under one yr, every local govt has at least more than 10 new school buildings.
It's not rocket science.
It takes time to approve money to construct school which is beneficial to the people of the state but it doesn't take time to approve money for invisible projects through which they steal money.

l understand, I lived in the North as well in the past , had my first Degree in the oldest University in the North and I have been to several states in the North as well, what of if I tell you that I have a Northern blood but the glory of the Northern states has long departed due to the millions of innocent blood that has been shed, l pity the millions of hapless citizens that are victims of the mis- governance in the North

The first Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya A'isha Bello has met with the 8 year-old primary school pupil, Fatima Ismail Lawwali who went viral for trekking two kilometers to school.

Hajiya A'isha Has donated a motorcycle that will be use to take Fatima to school, gave her wrappers, cash gift and other educational materials.

Lawwali said that the closest school to their home was practically in a shambles, explaining that his daughter might not be able to cope academically in such environment which makes him feel it is necessary to choose an enabling enrolment for her to study.

A’isha Matawalle while presenting the gifts disclosed that she saw the picture of the girl on Facebook trekking to school and decided that something positive should be done to assist the family in their quest to educate their child.

“It is heartbreaking when I saw the picture of the girl on social media and this donation is in line with my pet project’s mission to ensure the educational development of the girl child in Zamfara State,” A’isha said.

In this day and age where schools are on every street, somebody is still trekking miles to school.

Of what benefit is that motorcycle.

The day there is no money for fuel, what happens?
Or the person who should be carrying her isn't available.

This is just one girl. I am sure there are many more students who trek further distances that exceed 2 km everyday, to get to school and back, in that locality.

What is going to be done for them? Will the first lady buy motorcycles for their parents or guardians to take them to school, too?

A simpler solution is a government funded school bus. This is just a publicity stunt that exposes the first Lady as a shallow thinker.
