Hello every one. I've been observing for a while and im really interested in this Canada stuff. I dont understand what is been typed most the time because of the abreviations used. Could someone be kind enough to give the full meaning to most of the abbreviations and explain in layman's English how to start the whole process from the scratch.
Please do not ignore. Thank you

by the way, i do WAEC confirmation of results for a living. If you'd need this done for you, please contact me

Good evening all,

Well done to all the gurus. My special thanks to mamajojo and amaya for directing me to the self employed PPR celebrants. Njbr.... And great lady 234 has contacted me and they have both offered their advice and support as I begin.

Please I still need some clarifications
Firstly, my hubby has OND, HND, ICAN and MBA please which of all these certificates should he do ECA on that will still fetch us the highest point.

Secondly, to the NOC gurus in the house. I need help on this. I want to go the self employed route and I am confused on which NOC to use.

My business supplies consumables, toiletries and stationeries to companies, we generally buy things that their staff consume or use for their day to day activities at work. I chose NOC 0621 but will appreciate if you can help take a second look at my NOC choice.

Thank you for your time.

MBA is fine ma

Good evening all,

Please I need some clarification and I will really appreciate your kind response.
I'm planning to apply with my wife, but presently none of us is present in Nigeria, she's in the US (student) and I am in Dubai (Resident).
Is there any issues attached to this.

Secondly, while applying for Wes evaluation, do we need to include our O'level too.
And please in the application process, which step in more advisable to take first or is there any one can do side by side.

Thanks as I humbly await your response.

Local post sec degrees require WAEC or NECO to be sent as prerequisite for obtaining those degrees.

However foreign degrees dont require

WES seems to be the most popular and costs about 227CAD takes 35 working days from the day your documents are verified AND EVALUATION BEGINS

ICES costs a bit less (about 200) and takes 14-16weeks from date of receipt. Note Nigeria-earned results might take a little longer

Want to help my junior one to evaluate his credential for Canada express entry/federal skilled workers program through WES. Do we need to include his high school result too. He has Bsc. Also do we do the standard evaluation or evaluation for immigration?

Hi its doc by doc evaluation which is for immigration. You ll be prompted at registration. If his degree is locally obtained and you are using WES, then yes his O level result is required. If you need more clarification, pls hit me up

Yes, I totally agree with you though mine didnt take that long, I always tell people that come to me for advise same, start your ECA process while that is going on study and I mean study real hard for your IELTS. That what I did and i Max IELTS at first time with LRSW 8.5,8.5,8,7. infact i allowed my ECA come out fully before i enrolled for IELTS, that was intentional because i was reading seriously all through the ECA wait period. Almost everyone thinks IELTS is the first thing to do because its an exams they are apprehensive and end up failing.

Where did u take urs? MOD or BC? And pls what materials did you use?

PLEASE if you are yet to start this process or just recently applied, I would implore you to buy dollars with half of your POF. If your POF is invested in Tbills or MMF and you don't have a good buffer in Naira to make up for any shortfall, be wise - liquidate half and buy dollars.

If like me, you are keeping your eyes on what's happening in the financial markets and the recent uncertainty in the price of crude oil, then you know its time to hedge.

If you have any doubts, seek the advise of any financial advisor worth his salt. Be wise!

I almost invested in treasury bills yesterday but decided to wait till today. Please are you saying buying the dollar is better. I have a dom account too.I will be creating a profile by December. Again if i change my money to dollars, how else can i invest it to get interest at least. Thanks

Go to Stanbic IBTC wealth house, they have dollar investment options- though I am not sure how liquid these are.

First off, I presently work as the Admin Manager(2018 till date) but before then (2017 to 2018), I worked as the accountant and before that (2013-2017) I was the account officer. All in the same organization.
Please kindly advice what NOC I should go for. I studied accounting but am not chartered.

Pls the experts in this, I need your help!

Psalm 126v1-3 King James Version (KJV)

126 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

3 The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

I'll like to know if WES, ICAS and IQAS can evaluate my MSc result with my testimonial?

Testimonial has this clause "valid for 3 years"

Have you tried to do a simulation of your scores? The points difference between what you have now and the maximum bands I think is less than 10. Maybe you should be looking at an additional certificate instead.

I also heard that you are bound to use your most recent IELTS test score - though I'm not sure how true this, others here can confirm. If this is the csse, then you can't afford a lower score for subsequent tests.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by CheesyTee(f): 7:54am On Aug 09, 2019
Not true.

You can use any one which has the highest score as long as it's valid (within last 2 years). Just because you have a new test result, doesn't mean you have to use it (with low band(s) at that).

pls am asking for a friend,
my friend's mentor asked him to inquire about how much it will cost to migrate to Canada?. we've read news about how one can do it by himself. He has B.Sc. in Accounting and MBA from University of Benin. He is very skillful when it comes to writing project/thesis coupled with his one year NYSC experience. Can he travel via skill migration and what are the possible cost implications most especially the minimum capital to settle down in canada ?. I await your insightful responses. Thanks.

Just put your money in stanbic money market (mutual funds) and rest. Ease of redemption and OK interest rates. I got almost 50k on N4M in one month. No stress

Many thanks for your response.

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but attached is what the final simulated score from the CRS page is.
cc Tina26

We will be sure to use ICES then. Any insight into how long it took them to evaluate, can we send them official soft copies directly and lastly, do I need to consider evaluating SSCE in addition to my Bachelors Degree?

well it appear you are selecting wrong answers. there is a job experience part that asks for canada experience which you dont have( the first work experience question)
