That is true. Good works mitigate your Karma. The Bible says something like alms giving covering multitude of sins. Giving of alms to the poor is popular with the major religions in the world.

Whatever good you do comes back to you. Same with evil deeds. It's a basic law of the Cosmos.

No I'm not a Freemason. I'm an aspiring Yogi. But I like to think I'm also Catholic.

Life is, sadly, an endless cycle of birth and rebirth like someone already stated. Most people are yet to understand the reality of reincarnation. You are born, you live, and after a while you must die. At each lifetime it seems you are just a new comer because almost all knowledge and experiences of the previous lifetimes are lost after each physical death. Only the soul survives physical death. Your memories, likes, dislikes, fears, etc are lost. Some of us might have been here more than 30 times without knowing it. I have watched youtube videos of children that could still recall their previous lifetime experiences. They lose these memories as they get older.

I beleive the only real God is mother nature. It is an impersonal natural force. It has no beginning and no end. It is all encompassing and self sustaining. Everything that exists comes out of it, be it gods, demons, humans, planets, animals, etc.

When one aligns themselves with this natural force they grow spiritually. Some spiritually strong persons can recall experiences of their previous lifetimes and can even bend the so called karmic effects.

For one to survive they must get knowledge, spiritual knowledge. Nobody actually dies. We only grow old and become young again through rebirth. That's the sad reality of life.

interesting. But during this reincarnation, do we get to choose where and who to come out from? When I was a kid, I was made to believe my great grandma came back as one of my cousin.(a male) but I always doubted it was hoax.

Reincarnation is a naturally occurring event that we have no control over. It depends on planetary alignments and other factors. You can't choose where and when to reincarnate but by natural laws you will most likely come back to your bloodline or same family. This is why it is foolish to commit suicide and expect your problems to be over.

Lack of understanding of spiritual laws makes many think that "suicide" will solve their problems and put them on a blank state. But that is absolutely wrong. By the laws of the universe such as the laws of the invisible light, beyond our basic perception, we have our mental, spiritual body. This unit just dislocates from the body after death. In this case, you will be the same as you are today, but on another 'dimension'. Many people upon death or when close to death they experience this 'drawing out' of the body, and those who commit suicide, just see their dead body there. And there comes the greatest regret from an action one cannot go back

In many cases it can take decades until the planetary alignments, viable bodies, and so forth, become available, for one to reincarnate. One will be therefore stuck in this wallowing state which increases itself, and then one will reincarnate, and his life will merely "replay" over for better or for worse due to karmic flaws inherent in his spirit. Then, one may be locked in a situation where they again find themselves in the same loop.

To give a rough estimate of how long the above can take, it can be from any to 10, to 25 to 70 years, to a century. I know this may sound like too much, but yes, sometimes, conditions for reincarnation may take that long, and this is highly dependable on circumstances.

I think I can relate to what you saying. But i never believed in reincarnation for once.

Since I was a kid till now, whenever I’m doing something or just having a random thought, I do have flash of seeing a beach. It’s as if I’m standing in front of a beach on a cool evening looking at the sea. This flash has been happening since I was two years old or there about. I have tried to see if I can remember ever going to the beach prior to the time I started having this flash but none. Till now I still have this flash occasionally.

If I really want to have this flash and be in this flash to see if I can remember it ever happening, I do go to the beach, either elegushi or alpha beach to relax. Relaxing and looking at the sea waves seems to bring this flash to life. But I can’t seem to connect how this flash came about or remember if it ever happened. Can you throw more light on this? Thanks I’m really enjoying your write up.

the subject of soul and reincarnation is vast and deep. Many will get lost and confused if we go into details and look at the finer points. But regarding the flashes you occasionally have from childhood, I can explain this a little.

The human soul is made up of the male and female parts. The male part, also known as the conscious part or ego, is where all knowledge and experiences one acquired in a particular lifetime are embedded or stored. The female part, or the unconscious part is what survives after reincarnation and is carried through several lifetimes. Naturally the male part or ego, unfortunately, dies as the soul is entering the foetus in its mother's womb.
Because the ego dies upon reincarnation, clear memories of previous lifetimes are lost permanently. A new male part or ego is given through childbirth.

But remember the human soul is one and not two. The female part of the soul that comes out intact after reincarnation retains memories of experiences during several lifetimes on permanent basis but can only be recalled if one is spiritually aware and open. At best, if the experience or memory is significant or too strong, it can only come as flashes without much clarity, if one is spiritually blind.

At each lifetime, the new ego and female part of the soul fuse and only part ways after reincarnation. The ' only way to stop this viscous cycle is by empowering the soul by meditation and other spiritual practices during each lifetime until one attains what is called magnum opus.

ElsonMorali:
Life is nothing but a string of births and rebirths in an attempt to pay off our Karmic debts thereby gaining the necessary impetus to rise above the cycle of rebirth which man has been bound. Once you are able to break free from the cycle, you move on to the next level where you also attempt to break the cycle and so on.

Life's path for most people is a circular one of birth and rebirth. Only the strong (that is those who have achieved spiritual strength) eventually move a step up and convert their circular path into a spiral one.

In other words, most of the things that have happened to you and the situations you found yourself at birth is as a result of your past living. What your next life is going to be like is being constructed by you right now.

If you do not satisfy your Karmic debt in this life, be rest assured you are coming back and you'll be given situations and circumstances that will help you fulfil your destiny, which is to pay your Karmic debt, gain enough spiritual strength and ascend the ladder by converting your circular path to spiral.

That is why the only real thing that matters in this life is doing unto others what you want to be done to you, the golden rule.

That is the essence of our lives. That's the only way we can break the circle of birth and rebirth and convert it to a spiral. And that is why no two people have the same destiny. That is why a lot of religious people pray for something and they seem never to get it. That is why it seems as if good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people.

Those who hasten their particular incarnation by committing suicide will only come back and be placed in the same situation over and over again until they learn the lesson they were meant to imbibe in the first place.

so peeps, stay woke and be mindful of your Karmic destiny.

It's been long I read so much bunkum and gibberish in one post.

Imagine the air of finality with which you indited what you cannot establish.

You are moronic.

You got it wrong bro. Most people don't understand the meaning of Karma.

It is one of the Seven Laws governing the Cosmos also known as the law of Cause and Effect.

Most often, Karmic debt is paid in another life time.

Sometimes you see someone born deformed for no reason at all. Look to his past lives. None of those you mentioned will pay in this life. Most of us won't.

I'll give you an example from the Bible.

Elijah the prophet slaughtered the priests of Baal when they couldn't make a miracle happen. He put all of them to the sword.

Centuries later as confirmed by the Scriptures and Jesus the Christ Himself, Elijah reincarnated as John the Baptist.

Wait for it... Guess how John the Baptist died?

He was beheaded with the sword.

I hope you get my point now.

Remember the great Master's occultic and mystical words to Peter? "He who lives by the sword will surely die by the sword".

Karmic consequences are faced in another lifetime.

Your IQ is clearly minute.

Who told you previous life and after life exist?

Imagine saying a disabled person is so prolly because of karmic debt.

Imagine citing the bible to buttress your point when the authenticity of the bible itself is in question.

So you believed the baal story actually took place? And Elijah later flew to heaven?

Gosh!

This is nauseating.

I will try as much as possible to make it very simple.
There are five elements that forms the universe. These elements are Fire Earth Water Air and spirit... Through the course of human history these elements have remained unchanged. But man on the other hand, in flesh, will always change in state because he is subject to (space and time) rising and falling of the Sun.
Earth isn't where man is actually from but to experience this phase of existence, our spirit borrows flesh.
Each day is all the same... It's only man that keeps changing
Have you ever wondered where you were before being born? Or you thought you never existed before being born?

Things have changed... Lekki, Abuja, Dubai for example are not the same state they were in 1982. A lot of things have changed/advanced ... People have died, people have been born, people have grown older... Population has increased.

Seriously this question has been bothering me for a long time. Based on the short period of time I've spent on earth, I deduced that, we are sent on earth to be a better version of ourselves and heaven is very much real.

See, on earth we are riddled with challenges, problems, afflictions and addiction that are sometimes life threatening. Your main purpose on earth is to pass through these problems and conquer them. Many times you'd fail woefully, but that's the essence. You pass through them get the experience and become better.

Those who pass through these challenges and are not consumed by them will make heaven.

Let's take for instance, if at this point in you life you still haven't figured out that stealing is bad (there is a standard rule for morality, you also need to figure that out youself) and you still steal then you've not learnt anything because reapted opportunities will surface for you to stand your ground and refrain from stealing.

You addictions and challenges will always be there because they are waiting to be conquered.

At the end, those who pass their test will ascend to a better place(heaven). I also think we'll take to heaven the same level of awareness we had on earth.

So, if let's say if you have not able to conquer lust and and other sexual immoralities then you'd be having a hard time staying in heaven.

For me, earth is a learning ground.
