It is better not to, because their internal resistances can differ.

I use a 150w solar panel to charge the battery but I don't get full charge in a day plus my UPS also developed some fault prompting my need for the inverter + charger.

2.CHARGER
3.BATTERY(say 40 or 100amp)

This depends on the voltage system. Its always best to connect batteries of the same age and manufacturer together, but very difficult when you are dealing with used batteries.

In short, using Ceejay and others as an example, if you connect the batteries in parallel and it is a 12v system then fine. But if it is a 24v or higher connection, then probably best not to.
