Omeruo was playing grassroots football in Abuja when he was picked for the U17 team while ajagun was already a star player for dolphins in the local league by then
forgiveness:

Has Omeruo passed his prime because the last time I checked they are set? Except you be em papa. Clown.

Well relatively speaking, I know what you mean. But that coefficient thing cannot be followed strictly because the championship and other very good second-tier leagues are not taken into consideration. However I see you point that even the likes of Eze, Aribo etc are usually used more in other positions. Ajagun plays predominantly as an AM. But that could be due to several factors.

forgiveness:

Of course it's not but Belgium Pro League remains a top league as long as no Nigerian is playing on that position and at that level consistently.

I hope you understand my point now.

I have severally talked down on players from my tribe who have been under performing in Europe and the super eagles. I hv severally attacked pple here who mentions the inclusion of Nwakali jnr, agu, ogu etc severally here.

My interest is having the best for our darling super eagles rather being sentimental.

Forgiveness u be tribalist

See mumu talk. Which of those players reach Ajagun level?

Let's talk about the players that are in the team now. Because Eze is not in the set up.
If Iwobi doesn't play as an AM, will Rohr settle for Etebo there? Well, on a second thought, I wouldn't put it past Rohr grin
charlesemeka85:
Rohr won't try him there because iwobi is better than etebo in that position. If Rohr needs a back up for Alex in the 10 role the best bet is ebere Eze. Even Rohr will prefer deploying iheanacho in that role than inviting ajagun

While Omeruo was plucked from the academy, Ajagun was already a seasoned player prior to his invitation. Does that mean anything to u?

He played in that position severally for warri wolves and feirense in Portugal. Well u no dey watch European football lmao. Even during the afcon u23 competition siasia used him in that position
oga Etebo cant play 10. forget the story of playing bla bla bla years ago.

BTW, I didn't tell you I don't know about foreign leagues, I just don't discuss them.

Comprehension is lacking here.

BTW, I am a Barcelona fan and knows about foreign league but don't discuss these leagues on NL except Nigerian league and the national teams

I hope I'm clear now?

Because he played for a more ambitious team who were title contenders and have been regulars in the Europa league then. I doubt if ajagun can make the grades in gent as of then.

Rabiu Ibrahim couldnt cut it in Belgium.

Omeruo signed his first professional contract with sunshine of akure after the U17 world cup before he left for standard liege in Belgium and played for their youth side before Chelsea snapped him up and loaned him to ado den haag in the eiredivisie.

Because second tier leagues are meant for teams not good enough for the main league

Will Ajagun get a consistent run as an AM in the championship?
If he is not the preferred choice in that position, he will have to show he is good enough to fill another role, else play second fiddle to the first choice AM. But we cannot say until he gets such opportunity.

Same goes to ajagun who will never get a call up. The team is on a new phase now after the retirement of Mikel. So let's wait from now till 2 yrs time and see between Eze and Ajagun who is likely to get a call up

And who said Abraham is not better than oshimeh. Mind u I no follow for ur kind wey dey use sentiment follow players.

The only attractive teams in Belgium are Anderlecht, standard liege, club brugge, Genk and gent others na nonsense. Young players use the Belgian top flight as a spring board to bigger leagues an teams in Europe.

No good young player in the Belgian top flight remains there after a season or 2. Belgium and Holland is a breeding field for scouts from top leagues in Europe who are hunting for young talented players

How many Nigerians dey play AMF for better European league? I no wan hear Slovenia.

To me, Etebo is more of SS than anything else. Not even CM. Siasia remain the only coach that utilized him best. (Olympics)

I'm not saying Etebo is a bad player.

He can't play 10

only Iwobi can play that for now but inconsistent

We need one more AM.

Agreed

Now you are making sense. I bet you ajagun can't make Charlton's bench let alone the likes of fulham, leeds united, westbrom, Boro and co

well you cannot be too sure. He has the competitive experience. But maybe he would thrive as an AMR in the championship. it's not like Eze plays mostly as an AM

Forget sentiments bro, that guy is an old man and he's passed his prime. Can u see he didn't add an inch from his height at the U17s? He has remained same height for more than 10years now

good! that's why I told you earlier there are other factors why players like Aribo etc don't play predominantly as an AM
Ajagun may as well find himself in a similar situation if he gets a chance in the championship.
