the truth is that airlines do charge if u miss flight , they charge higher too if u booked online or promo ticket

and u have problem of 'no show' and why it's high is u went to rebook next day , if u push it till next week it will come down with like 50%

note again Etihad , Emirates they are 4 star airlines , their tickets are high so as their reconfirmations

Go straight to their counter and make more enquiries.
That was how one scam lady tried charging me 1k for ticket reprint all because I wanted my seat number changed. I demanded to see the management for that reason, then she just used her pen to cancel and write a new number on the receipt.

Look for Ethiad Office
Pay No Show Penalty that the generate on the system
75k is like $200. I think that's high.

Like someone suggested, try reaching the airline through their Twitter handle, Facebook or official email, if all effort seems abortive, just pay the money to avoid even paying more

Just get the money and pay. I'm sure rescheduled flight attracts penalties anywhere in the world . Yours might be inflated but just overlook it.

There is always fine for missing/rescheduling flights. Even local flights have such charges.

The amount for yours is what I can't tell, but it is most likely legit.

If on the day he booked, the flight cost $800, and on the day he rescheduled, the cost for the next flight is $1000, he has to balance them $200.

He will have to pay before being rescheduled. For them to have already logged him in means the fares were probably same.

You are even lucky the the amount you're paying is not more than 75k.. I guess the difference between the new fare and the one fare you paid for is not much because adding change fees, no show penalty and difference in new fare should amount to nothing less than 100k considering the closeness of the date you're changing to again and summer in the air...you better pay quickly before it increases.

On a more serious note, some of those girls at the airport are something else.
Some of them collect your money by force.
I once missed my flight to Abuja and had to pay the extra charges. The receipt I was given recorded less than what I paid. When I asked, she boldly told me that the extra money was the one I "dashed" her. I was like... wtf is that. She just smiled and told me how nice I looked : I looked really nice that day. I was so angry inside but I managed to smile back and told her it's alright. But it wasn't alright oo.

I booked the ticket by myself online with my master card and i believe if there's any extra charges , i should also pay it by myself online. The lady said i should bring the 75k tomorrow on my travel date.

Reason why i missed the flight:[font=Lucida Sans Unicode][/font] The first flight i booked showed September 18th, 1:30pm, i was so sad because this will not meet up with my course and i will have to book another one. Not knowing that the date was an error from there end and i wasn't charged at all, i almost cried for about 1hour while i was waiting for gtb to charge me, But when they didn't charge me, that was when i realized it was an error from their end so i rebooked it, now the date was okay (august 12th, 2019) but i never bother to checked the time again , forgetting that the date and time changed, i've been telling my self my flight was 1:30, I EVEN SLEPT AROUND 9 TILL 10, i live at ojodu berger, so i could be at ikeja airport by 11am which i did. Note: No village people is involved, It will had to my experience i live i know. so just give me your honest advice not village things.

Only 75 dollars for rescheduling $675 flight & you are troubled.you should be very happy my dear .lemme not disclose details of what this same ethihad did to a friend of mine on a public forum.just to give you a clue,They asked him to pay the exact amount/cost to book a fresh flight as rescheduling fee.$700 to reschedule a missed $700 flight & this happened in a much more respected European country & not Nigeria.& My friend called the ethihad customer care line directly.
