Pique, van dijk, Boateng, hummels are good ball playing defenders. Man untd new signing maguire is also good at building from defence. David Luiz is another good mention but erratic atimes andrew444: |

charlesemeka85: He should I am happy that Akpeyi, Mikel and John Ogu weren't invited Rohr is slowly learning his lessons But the MF position still lacks a reliable playmaker. Rohr hasn't learnt all his errors from AFCON. |

andrew444: You're right at the bolded. It will be easier to get Udokhai than Tomori and the more he keeps playing for chelsea, the more his stock rises in England and trust the English FA to quickly cap him so as to prevent him from falling into Nigerian hands. My mind is on him 15% |

I think the issue with our midfield is that currently we lack good midfielders playing in Europe's best leagues aside ndidi but I believe that will change with time. In a season or two I expect the likes of Eze, Onomah, ejaria, Nwakali jnr(if he gets serious) to make the step up. For now we have to make do with what we can lay our hands on in that position darkelf: |

charlesemeka85: Not entirely through. Just look at Dele Alli I doubt he would have achieved what he has now playing for the Super Eagles. Once you're better than the present quality, a player would achieve more with England so far he is given constant invitations. It is the sad truth |

If rudiger returns to full fitness I doubt tomori will play much in chealse unless fa cup and carling cup games. darkelf: |

When dele came to the scene England lacked good midfielders and currently he is still there best attacking midfielder. It would have been easier for tomori if England lack quality in the cb position. They have up to five players in that position who re better than him with even few who are uncapped. Also they won't take the risk deploying him as a rb darkelf: |

Prectega: Another season go pass and they will say he is the tackle king Me I feel he has more to offer than just unnecessary tackles and fouls in danger areas. He needs to up his game or he needs a better environment to bring out the best in him |

I am 50% sure that we will get uduokhai because he is not even a starter in the German u21 and their eyes is more on torunarigha who is better than uduokhai. This is one of the reasons why the lad had to tell himself the truth and left his options open lol darkelf: |

charlesemeka85: Will rohr ever give this guys the opportunity. My problem with Rohr is his delay in making crucial decisions It took him the AFCON to know that Akpeyi isn't a GK but a farmer that like to make ridges in the goalpost. Abeg, he should not waste time to invite the right talents. I feel Ebere Eze's call up is long overdue |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 12:35am On Aug 15, 2019 |
The funny team about Rohr is that he makes little changes, yet the team will still be playing like they have not been together for quite awhile lol.. These lads should be spraying passes with their eyes closed by now Modified And let me add KC does not deserve to be invited. If we want to help this boy, let him work hard for his invite. You guys just jump into conclusion easily what makes u think if they do well they won't get a look in? Rohr is not that stupid or blind to ignore any of them if they even standout in the championship. No reasonable coach ignores players who will make his team better darkelf: |

charlesemeka85: No matter what you say, Ebere Eze is long overdue for inclusion. Majority here would agree. Please note that i didn't clamor for any other player because I don't see their added benefit to the MF position (maybe apart from Tomori if he is interested) |

Then why did u make reference to the mistake he made against Algeria? Even the best players in the world are prone to errors and commit plunders that cost their teams. Every player have their strongest and weakest areas and all can never be the same. Kante is a world class player while ndidi is still coming up and working hard to get better. darkelf: |
