no one is perfect in any profession. great tacticians like fergie, wenger, ancelotti, robson, capello, lippi, trapatoni just to name a few were prone to mistakes.

rohr is never the best for the team but all i appreciate about his is the work he has done so far when he took over. our beloved super eagles was in a mess and ranked 66th in the world and a laughing stock in the whole of africa but today the reverse is the case.

even if rohr leaves his post today i will forever appreciate the good work he did. his impact is evident and positive as well. winning laurels is not the only parameter to determine how successful a team is but i am confident that in due time the trophies will come with the present foundation the team is laid on now.

God bless gernot rohr

I will never criticize his super eagles list

He is not perfect and nobody is perfect

Just because they are not named Ajagun or Kayode does not mean they don't deserve a call up

Nwakali is an immensely talented player that was called up for the B team to play Atletico Madrid, there is nothing wrong with that

Siasia is one of the most corrupt coaches that has handled Nigeria. I mentioned before that i do not want Siasia near any national team. Some people were not happy when i said that.

Thankfully, FIFA has exposed him.
He might deserve this, but all I'm seeing is Amos Adamu Part 2 playing out.

Is Siasia the only one involved in bribery?

The axe just fell on him.

If the axe falls well and without bias, etc, the NPFL and even the glass house would all be defunct. Its just about playing this bribery game well, which is just the bane of our football. FIFA just caught the least of nigerian match fixers to me.

siasia's case was even a bit better. winning the afcon turned keshi to a demi god with monstrous ego which made him to feel untouchable.i was telling my close friends then that keshi's atrocities will come back to hit our football hard but they were all blinded by the afcon triumph.

many didn't know that pinnick was a God sent who rescued our football from the hands of a dictator and corrupt fellow.

I hold nothing against keshi but wasn't and will never be among those who were blinded by his short lived success with the team.

coming to siasia's case i stopped to take him serious when he couldn't secure a job in the continent or even with a local club but hangs around and lobby for the senior team job or that of the u23. he failed to build on the success he made since getting to the finals of the u20 world cup and olympics in the space of 3 years which boasted his CV.

our local coaches are not serio8us and very corrupt as well
God whathuh
You talk of him as though he's a messiah. Th3 caf issue skipped your view i guess.

Nobody currently in that Glass House is clean if we want to say the truth. Maybe 2% out of benefit of doubt. But to stand here and give him the status of a sainthuh

Wilson Raj Perumal is a notorious match fixer. He fixes matches for Asian betting syndicates. He has been jailed in several countries and he believes that it was his match fixing gang that turned on him and ensured that he was jailed.

Therefore, he told the police about his match fixing activities and also wrote a book about it.

He claimed that he fixed matches in the football tournament at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. He also said that he helped Nigeria and Honduras to qualify for the 2010 World Cup. He said that he tried and failed to fix several English Premier League matches. He was also involved in match fixing scandals in Singapore and Finland.

It is alleged that Samson Siasia agreed to accept bribes from him, but it is not specified whether the bribes were actually paid.

Its not about Ethics, but about how smart you play the game.

Platini, Blatter, etc we all know

Eince 1999 till date, i dont, cant exonerate any NFF President of what Sia1 is just banned for. They were smart. Infact if the glass house have whistle blowers coming out today, damning any consequences, im sure stones would be hurled and it would all be down to the dust within days. Destruction.

I wonder how you got the idea of Siasia of me seeing Siasia as a saint.

TheGoodJoe:

Coach Siasia has the likes of Ndidi, Osede, Chidebere Nwakali, Otigba to invite to camp. We have young promising defenders who can increase the number in camp. The likes of Ola Aina who made it to the bench of Chelsea and Tosin Adarabioyo who did well against Costa.

We have Awaziem and Troost-Ekong.

Coach Siasia should stop wasting time and do the right thing. Open the camp, invite a full camp and do a rigorous thorough screening.

That is the Nigerian way that has worked for years. Coach Siasia knows the process and he should stop the games. Invite as many as he can. Do a rigorous screening in a week and select the squad for the camps.

We need a tight squad to start camping. Let us see if they can blend before the tourney.

Congrats to Coach Siasia. He has successfully embarrassed us.

Exactly, even currently, I suspect some actions of our keepers as part of a match fixing practice. But chose to keep quiet because I do not like making accusations I am not sure of. Either way, the exposure is good to help clean up our game.

But he is the boss now @Pinnick. If Keshi was operating under such a cloud, im very sure the glass house knew it so well to be comfortable with it. Its not even a keshi thing, but a glass house thing.

Okay Keshi was corrupt..... What was supposed to be done? Its all a case of Kettle Black and Pot Coal.

Let me educate you on what corruption is. BTW, Corruption is not all about money.

That said, will you say the 3 GKs we have used for 3yrs now are the best available?

What do you call taking injured players to tournaments when you have replacements?

What do you call playing players out of position so as to discard them with an excuse that they didnt do well?

Lastly, what do you call inviting players but not giving them fair play time to prove their worth even in dead rubber situation?

Like I said, corruption is not just about money. Viewing corruption with that lens will shut you out of the broader meaning.

Tell me if Rohr is nnot guilty of the aforementioned. his sin may likely not be up to that of siasia, Berti Vogt, Laggerback or Sam Allaydyce but he's no saint.

Exactly. We know the Nigerian Syndrome of wanting one to substantiate a truth unverified all cos its source is unlikely, even if its true.

Example:

Street guy: Sacks of cash are being shared in the nass right now. Even gateman was handed his sack by the senate president himseld

Naija people: na lie, Punch don carry am?
Vanguard don talk am, Channels never tok am. Abegi, go siddon for one corner abeg.....

That is why the truth continues to alienate itself among us all.

Who was not even in charge of selection one time? Wasnt it Berti Vogts or was it Lagerback?

We know how such goes. And the glass house chieftains were involved.

Chrisantus selection for u17 is a vivid one. Even if he performed. No be today. I wish all ca just be swept thru and away asap.

But what will be the cost? Is always the begging question.
