no one is perfect in any profession. great tacticians like fergie, wenger, ancelotti, robson, capello, lippi, trapatoni just to name a few were prone to mistakes. rohr is never the best for the team but all i appreciate about his is the work he has done so far when he took over. our beloved super eagles was in a mess and ranked 66th in the world and a laughing stock in the whole of africa but today the reverse is the case. even if rohr leaves his post today i will forever appreciate the good work he did. his impact is evident and positive as well. winning laurels is not the only parameter to determine how successful a team is but i am confident that in due time the trophies will come with the present foundation the team is laid on now. andrew444: |

forgiveness:Just because they are not named Ajagun or Kayode does not mean they don't deserve a call up Nwakali is an immensely talented player that was called up for the B team to play Atletico Madrid, there is nothing wrong with that |

tbaba1234:He might deserve this, but all I'm seeing is Amos Adamu Part 2 playing out. Is Siasia the only one involved in bribery? The axe just fell on him. If the axe falls well and without bias, etc, the NPFL and even the glass house would all be defunct. Its just about playing this bribery game well, which is just the bane of our football. FIFA just caught the least of nigerian match fixers to me. |

somehow:I am serious Because your favorite player was not invited doesn't mean you should say rohr didn't invite who deserved it I will list players of about 20 national team squad that deserved to be at the World Cup that wasn't there You can't compare rohr list to keshi or siasia |

krattoss:God bless your soul for this!!! Its not about Ethics, but about how smart you play the game. Platini, Blatter, etc we all know Eince 1999 till date, i dont, cant exonerate any NFF President of what Sia1 is just banned for. They were smart. Infact if the glass house have whistle blowers coming out today, damning any consequences, im sure stones would be hurled and it would all be down to the dust within days. Destruction. Aluko's story may pop up soon again...... |

daveP:Exactly, even currently, I suspect some actions of our keepers as part of a match fixing practice. But chose to keep quiet because I do not like making accusations I am not sure of. Either way, the exposure is good to help clean up our game. |

charlesemeka85:But he is the boss now @Pinnick. If Keshi was operating under such a cloud, im very sure the glass house knew it so well to be comfortable with it. Its not even a keshi thing, but a glass house thing. Okay Keshi was corrupt..... What was supposed to be done? Its all a case of Kettle Black and Pot Coal. |

andrew444:Let me educate you on what corruption is. BTW, Corruption is not all about money. That said, will you say the 3 GKs we have used for 3yrs now are the best available? What do you call taking injured players to tournaments when you have replacements? What do you call playing players out of position so as to discard them with an excuse that they didnt do well? Lastly, what do you call inviting players but not giving them fair play time to prove their worth even in dead rubber situation? Like I said, corruption is not just about money. Viewing corruption with that lens will shut you out of the broader meaning. Tell me if Rohr is nnot guilty of the aforementioned. his sin may likely not be up to that of siasia, Berti Vogt, Laggerback or Sam Allaydyce but he's no saint. |

TheGoodJoe:Exactly. We know the Nigerian Syndrome of wanting one to substantiate a truth unverified all cos its source is unlikely, even if its true. Example: Street guy: Sacks of cash are being shared in the nass right now. Even gateman was handed his sack by the senate president himseld Naija people: na lie, Punch don carry am? Vanguard don talk am, Channels never tok am. Abegi, go siddon for one corner abeg..... That is why the truth continues to alienate itself among us all. Who was not even in charge of selection one time? Wasnt it Berti Vogts or was it Lagerback? We know how such goes. And the glass house chieftains were involved. Chrisantus selection for u17 is a vivid one. Even if he performed. No be today. I wish all ca just be swept thru and away asap. But what will be the cost? Is always the begging question. |
