Just because they are not named Ajagun or Kayode does not mean they don't deserve a call up

Nwakali is an immensely talented player that was called up for the B team to play Atletico Madrid, there is nothing wrong with that
Nwakali is an immensely talented players, that is why he deserves a call up despite not getting game time in Portuguese second division but the ones playing in decent leagues are crap players!?

Who you something? grin

He was also a bribe taker
You think Ezenwa's continuous invitation even when he was catching bench under Rohr’s watch was on merit? You think Rohr is blind to our goalkeeping malpractices?

why do you enjoy bringing up arguments that are baseless? did the nwakali brothers feature in super eagles team A?

both played in a makeshift team against a weak atm team in a preseason game and here you are making reference to eagles main team? your matter tire me cheesy cheesy

do you know how rohr was bullied to include nwakali jnr to the world cup team by some top officials in the nff just because he scored a screamer in the game but rohr stood his ground?
forgiveness:
The point is, why did Rohr invite these players?

Let me educate you on what corruption is. BTW, Corruption is not all about money.

That said, will you say the 3 GKs we have used for 3yrs now are the best available?

What do you call taking injured players to tournaments when you have replacements?

What do you call playing players out of position so as to discard them with an excuse that they didnt do well?

Lastly, what do you call inviting players but not giving them fair play time to prove their worth even in dead rubber situation?

Like I said, corruption is not just about money. Viewing corruption with that lens will shut you out of the broader meaning.

Tell me if Rohr is nnot guilty of the aforementioned. his sin may likely not be up to that of siasia, Berti Vogt, Laggerback or Sam Allaydyce but he's no saint.
You expect a coach to be perfect eh, Ezenwa that has been castigated has he disappointed in the GWG - no

Ighalo was taken to Afcon nursing an injury because he was the team's best striker and he repaid the faith by topping the scoring sheets

You see coaching is not by calculator, invites are determined by many things you can't just stay on Nairaland and determine who is to be invited or not.

Ferguson won many championships with Anderson who many viewed as average

So, we can talk about Siasia's corruption but we should not talk about Rohr because he's OYINBO and OYINBO is not corrupt?

Answer this simple question. Why did Rohr invite Chidiebere Nwakali to the national team? The guy even sat on the bench on two occasions.

I am not talking about team B oooooooo. grin

It's really sad that Samson has been banned by FIFA. I find it extra sad because it will further tarnish the image of Nigerian coaches after the salisu debacle.

Is there any corruption case against Rohr- No

Is there any accusation against him - No

Then simple answer is because Rohr sees more potential in him than Ajagun

God bless your soul for this!!!

Its not about Ethics, but about how smart you play the game.

Platini, Blatter, etc we all know

Eince 1999 till date, i dont, cant exonerate any NFF President of what Sia1 is just banned for. They were smart. Infact if the glass house have whistle blowers coming out today, damning any consequences, im sure stones would be hurled and it would all be down to the dust within days. Destruction.

Aluko's story may pop up soon again......
everyone and anyone can be bought and maneuvered with the right price and tactics.
The fact that ours is been done in broad day and has evolved to a culture can never exonerate the fact that every person has participated in corruption and bribery one way or the other, directly or indirectly.

No sin is bigger than the other..
It's just the human analogy that places and categorizes sins and ethics and I for one thinks its relative according to ones individual understanding.

Siasia taking a bribe of cash doesn't make him more or less corrupt than agents and scouts engaging some of their players in slave-contracts... vice versa

I think he invited them to take a closer look at what they had to offer remember they were both on the books of Manchester City and Arsenal even though they loaned to other clubs. Plus the games they were invited for where friendly's and dead robber games in which you can afford to experiment but even at that they did not play any of those matches.

rohr no doubt is not perfect or a Saint that cannot be criticised but I've not seen any obvious wrong from his end to begin to shout corruption corruption

We need to make a move for Tomori right away
andrew444:
I think I argued against you before ,because I can't take a championship player over a bundesliga player

But let me see what tomori can do ,with the way I am seeing he will get game time under lampard even if it's coming from the bench and starting those cup game I think it's okay

Tomori has already played Chelsea 2 games this season ,the Epl and the Uefa super cup ,this alone has to tell us great things ahead this season for tomori

But does he want to play for Nigeria ?

Jamilu Collins making waves huh
sheyishemba:
Rohr has a particular reason for keeping tabs on okoye since all this years... This is not a matter of playing time... This maybe due to his talented.. Coz Rohr that I know can't invite player from a low league and won't still perform. Jamil Collins comes to my mind alot of critics came as a result of his invitation.. But look at him.. He is making waves.. In my unbiased opinion I think okoye is very talented and there must be something special about this dude.. Lobatan

On a more serious note, let's drop it.

(to myself) so some went as far as digging up Alampasu is from Togo? Shirt. No wonder PMB is using Atiku is from Cameroun as an offensive in Tribunal. Lol.

Exactly. We know the Nigerian Syndrome of wanting one to substantiate a truth unverified all cos its source is unlikely, even if its true.

Example:

Street guy: Sacks of cash are being shared in the nass right now. Even gateman was handed his sack by the senate president himseld

Naija people: na lie, Punch don carry am?
Vanguard don talk am, Channels never tok am. Abegi, go siddon for one corner abeg.....

That is why the truth continues to alienate itself among us all.

Who was not even in charge of selection one time? Wasnt it Berti Vogts or was it Lagerback?

We know how such goes. And the glass house chieftains were involved.

Chrisantus selection for u17 is a vivid one. Even if he performed. No be today. I wish all ca just be swept thru and away asap.

But what will be the cost? Is always the begging question.
One of the cases I suspected Match fixing was when Akpeyi dropped the ball outside the 18 yard box and picked it up. I think he earned a yellow card for that. I just shook my head, but this is the first time I am mentioning it.
