I would have downloaded it 2 days ago but that stupid Korean Hardcoded subtitle put me off.

Loved the post-apocalyptic settings and Denzel's mysteriousness. I liked the film.

Hereafter

Made me ponder a bit about the afterlife. Wouldn't it be nice to have something to look forward to after you die? Perhaps, death is more than a light switching off permanently, perhaps it's something more, something positive.

It's a bleak tale of grief, adversity and HOPE.

You know what pisses me off?

Broke ass wannabes who watch a pirated version of a movie 10-20 years later when times were different and then come here to give anachronistically reetarded reviews.

Poor Screenplay... Too boring... Some poor acting..
In short.. Am dissapointed..

Give that to Jet Li's Kiss Of The Dragon,
Mystical sound track at the background while some ass whooping was going on gave it that classic feel.

How can a blind man be walking without stumbling and go around killing people with headshots from distance?

I once said you're the type of person who believes everything he reads on the internet without questioning it or even bothering to find out yourself if what you read is true or just horsesh1t.

After reading your baseless and stupid opinion about Eli being blind, I fast forwarded the movie to that particular scene, connected my laptop to my subwoofer and no where did Eli mention that he was blind.

When asked what condition the Bible was in, he mentioned that it was "beat up, but it will do the job". After that leader of the library asked if he could see it, Eli answered "yes you may".

Fast forward again, Eli asked "do you have anything to write on" the leader of the library told the guy standing close by "could you get us something to write on please" Eli now told the person standing close by "a while lot of it".

Fast forward again Eli told the leader of the library "pay close attention and write down everything I say, exactly as I say it"...

I'm really not surprise though.

His opinion is neither stupid nor baseless, dude. Eli is blind. Not obvious, but there were subtle hints here and there pointing to his blindness. Then finally, the big reveal in the end; if you watch that scene carefully, you'll see that his eyes are clearly white-ish - the eyes of a blind man.

Edit; To consolidate my stance, I researched the topic, and in every forum I opened, the general agreement is Eli was indeed blind.

Methinks you watched The Book of Eli wrong, brother.

another one. Good lord.

So blind people have white eyes or what are you trying to say exactly?. This is just like you saying a man who has what we usually call 'ojoro eyes' is blind.

Beside all this, there's no mentioned whatsoever in the movie that Eli is blind. So whatever the subtle hints you chose to see or not see, is just your opinion.

Anybody that has a white pupil is blind, or semi-blind.

Not only my opinion. It seems you're alone in this your absurd stance.

it's always nice never to join the bandwagon. I believe if the Bible was written in English none of those guys on that site would have said what they said, then again, it would defeat the very essence of the Bible being used as a weapon, no?

Rather than post link to a site where people are giving their own opinion about a thing or anything, why not find out yourself?

Now there are three times Eli read the Bible in the movie:

1: In the beginning in that old abandoned house. He removed it, looked right at it and read it. You can see his lips move.

2: when he was in Carnegie's house before Solara knocked. Dude was looking right at the Bible and reading it, carefully tracing every word in Braille with his hands.

3. Inside the abandoned nuclear plant. This is the clearest part. Eli read the Bible, looked directly at the Bible and read it. Do blind people look directly at what they're reading, especially when it's in Braille.

If you had said Eli is partially blind, then I won't debate this, but saying he's blind like full blown blind like you and those people on that link said, nope, it's a no no.

PS: I know a woman who has exactly the same eyes Eli has. I've known this woman right from my childhood and I can categorically tell you she's no where near blind.

Bro, abegi, stop arguing for argument sake.

Even in wiki page created for the film, it is clearly stated that Eli was blind. So what more are you arguing about, or do you know something the people that made the film don't? Na wa o.

Wiki page my ass. Has it ever occurred to you that that wiki page or even Wikipedia is never a viable source for information.

I've read several wiki pages created for movies with very wrong info.

If you show proof that the producer(s) of the movie say he's blind, then I rest my case, but using wiki page, nope, no can do.

I anticipated that comeback, you're very predictable.

Wikipedia doesn't let wrong info stay on for long, okay? Wikipedia is a credible source of information, it's where movies with complex plot lines are explained amongst other things. Wikipedia being a non-credible is a myth. False information doesn't last an hour on wikipedia.

of course it doesn't. Want to know why? The useless dolts who posted the wrong information usually rush back to edit it when it's proved the nonsense they posted is false. Just like they did as regard Stella Oduah.

It's you who is predictable. I tell you this, stop believing everything you read online. There's a reason why hard copy books are still available.

Has it ever occur to you why Book of Eli's plot summary remained unchanged since creation? If it's fake, why hasn't Wikipedia modified it since? Do you know that makers of Book of Eli are the ones behind that plot summary? Of course, you don't.

No, wait for WB to feed you on the mouth since you cannot see what is right in front of you. Eli wore shades because he must have really liked them shades, eh?

You remind me of a certain joke about a man who died in a natural disaster and went to heaven. On getting to heaven, he lamented to God that God didn't answer his prayers even though he prayed fervently. God told him he sent help to him several times, but the man unwittingly rebuffed all, because the "help" appeared in a modest form.

The devil is in the details, brother.
