The main reason why Siasia was banned was because he went into match fixing which made it a FIFA case. Those local coaches who collect bribes for player selection will not face punishment. That will be hard to stop.
Shouldn't it be a criminal case first?

Local authorities will have to be the ones to handle criminal proceedings depending on where it took place. FIFA handles the football angle.

He has already been proven guilty. FIFA has handed in their verdict.

He can appeal.
Did you see the proof? Where you part of the investigative panel. I am saying this because you are writing as if you have all the ins and outs of the investigation. Since it seems you are privy to the case, please which exact matches did the match fixing occur?

Like I said - FIFA aren't stupid enough to just ban him without iron clad evidence.
Let's see what his next move is.
Courts in developed countries have made wrong judgments several times and sent innocent men to jail and even sometimes to death, how much more FiFA.

Do i need to see the proof? Do you see all the proofs in court cases?? But criminals are still convicted.

FIFA internal systems have proven him guilty and handed out their verdict. In football, that is the guilty verdict. I do not have to be part of the investigation and have all the evidences.

Siasia has the option to clear his name through the appropriate channels.

Courts typically say why a guilty verdict is given. Am yet to hear of a trial in absentia. My point is if Siasia wasn't interviewed in the whole investigative process then some questions need to be asked of FIFA.

Attack-wise, a resounding yes
TheGoodJoe:
My respect for Siasia is down to his tactics. People have their strength and weaknesses. One thing is sure, Siasia is a brilliant tactician.

How did you reach that conclusion? Because Siasia said so.. There are very few persons that will openly admit guilt in this kind of scenario. Amos Adamu was caught on camera and still denied the allegations.

There is no smoke without fire.

Siasia was not the only one banned under the same case.

Mr Abu Bakarr Kabba of sierra leone FA was banned for 5 years.

Mr Mooketsi Kgotlele of Botswana FA was banned for Life

We all saw Salisu on camera but he still tried to play the 'they set me up' line. If Sia1 doesn't feel satisfied the court of arbitration of sport is there

At least, he was playing.
How many matches did he play in la Liga 2? 7 matches. Plus one Copa del Rey makes it a total of 8 matches before he went to Cyrus league were he conceded 3 goals in his first match.

He kept clean sheets in four matches but conceded 11 goals in the other four matches.

Sir my second sentence said 'if' Siasia wasn't interviewed. That's not a conclusion sir. If he's lying he wasn't interviewed then he's probably guilty. However, if FIFA didnt interview him, then e get as e be.

Our basketball team has been ranked among the best 10 by FIBA ahead of the world cup. This is how the NSC want to treat them now?

I doubt if the sport commission release funds for the football teams too..... the NFF can cope without their money but same can't be said of other sport sectors.. every year before a major sport event, it's the same story. no money!
And u wonder why we keep losing top athletes to foreign countries...

Speaking to French radio station France Bleu, Gernot Rohr has highlighted four qualities of Nantes summer signing Moses Simon.

The Nigeria manager revealed that Simon is fast, disciplined, good in one vs one situations and has the ability to dribble past opponents.

Rohr has close ties to Nantes, having managed the club for 155 days during the 2009-2010 season, losing only five of the seventeen matches he was in the dugout.

''Moses Simon is an extremely fast explosive winger that I use in the left or right wing, playing five games in the last AFCON, two of them as a starter, "said Rohr.

''He is a very disciplined boy and especially very good in one against one. He is able to easily eliminate his opponents. It is a reinforcement of choice for FC Nantes.''

Simon was replaced by Crotone's Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo on the Super Eagles roster for the 2018 World Cup after suffering an injury in training before the second phase of camping in Europe.

Rohr added : ''He's an indispensable player on my team who missed out on the 2018 World Cup.

''He was injured during the last training camp before flying to Russia, where he suffered a small muscle problem in his thigh''.

Moses completed a season-long loan move to Nantes from Spanish outfit Levante this week as he aims for more playing time, becoming the third Nigerian player to join the Ligue 1 club after Samson Siasia and Chidozie Awaziem.

I think Isaac and Iwobi could start.
Gray was poor last time for Watford and Success could very well take his spot today. Also Everton will be without 2 starting midfielders so Alex might get a nod.

I'm not sure if our sport commission has a marketing department. The can source for sponsorship from private organizations and companies.
We are sport loving country and I see no reason why our basketball players should be using their personal money for a national assignment

Too many incompetent people running certain ministries in this country.... The people at NSC don't care about anything like sponsorship. in so far they get salary from the government... It's really sad bro.. It's not just the basketball team.. the African games started yesterday and we aren't sure if our top athletes will attend due to lack of funds from the AFN

Our basketball doesn't rely on the government that much. At least not as much as the NFF. For all their sponsorship talk the government has had to shelf out money for the last 2 tournaments.

Actually they do. the basketball team have very few sponsors... The basketball league itself has been off for two years now! Maybe because the basketball team don't participate in many tournament like the football team that's why we don't hear about them fighting with the ministry of sport for funds.. lack of funds made our home based team travel by road to Mali and sleep outside during the afroCan

Our league has been off because there were fighting over a large the plenty money we had. This is why the funds are no longer flowing but normally there is money in our basketball
