Don't knw which part of the country you are but I want to guess it's lagos...
Lemme just recap my trip.
1. Went tru idiroko not badagry
2. #500 to cross via bike to igolo
3. 2000cfa to get to cotonou.
4. As regards the hotels... hotel ayelawaje has rooms varying from 5000cfa(no air-conditioning system just fan) and 8000cfa(A/C with TV ). @safari hotel the cheapest room is 8000cfa. Both hotels has free WiFi for customers. Bike is like 300cfa to city centre from the hotels.
5. As regards feeding I ate out most of the tym(solid food)but I took flakes and tea along.
5. Places of interest include the Obama and fredijosse beach. Try visiting ouidah but my suggestion is u sleep over so as to fully explore the place. Visit to the museum(there isn't much to be honest) that's 1000cfa per head, Temple de Python, ouidah cathedral, slave market and the beach.
Just budget like 75k for the trip...keep extra so as not to get stranded.

If your major aim is to have fun, then ah will suggest to visit Togo.
Buh if you have language barrier, then Benin won’t be a bad place. Buh it’s majorly a mini business hub.

Take a bus from Iwo Road or Challenge to Mile 2. Ask for where they take Badagry cab at Mile 2. Take the cab to Badagry. They will drop you at Conoil. Cross with a bike for #500. Then take a cab to cotonou after crossing. Cheers

The land borders are only closed for goods. Travelers aren't restricted to cross borders so far it is not human trafficking.

Na wa o for my people!
What kind of cosmetics products you wanna trade in that you can only purchase in Cotonou when they also buy cosmetics from Lagos and Abidjan?
Do proper research and planning. You don't even have an idea of how much capital you gonna start trading with?
Go back to the drawing board madam. Best of luck......
