Shame does not work in Nigeria. We are proudly incompetent in all sectors.
I'm so angry at their lackadaisical attitude toward the Basketball team....the players deserve better. They seem to be the only ones trying. They consistently make it to the finals of their competitions, and yet, this is what they get

Dele and Okoye are not on the same level in their careers. Dele has passed Okoye, he has been called up to the national team multiple times with nothing to show for it. This is Okoye's first call up.

If he doesn't get called up next time, unlike you, I will not come online and say a new goalie (let's say Osigwe) shouldn't have been called up, because per adventure, Okoye now has game time at club level

Alampasu and Okoye are not on the same level, compare Alampasu to Uzoho, not Okoye.

Ehn, his fine boy dey sweet me for belle, na wetin una wan hear, na there all the talk dey end for una. Maybe it is you that is jealous of the fine boy
Lolz. me jealous?. you are OYO

Exactly, does Maduka deserve a call up to the SE - No
Does Alampasu deserve a call up to the SE - No

Among the two of them, Okoye has been (liking and commenting) showing commitment and willingness towards the SE, in the end Okoye was invited.

I don't see why you're crying
oga ..you sha like to jump into argument.. maybe you should read a few.pages back and stop wailing

True. Most times there are square pegs in round holes. The competent people are often not allowed to do the work unfortunately.

What about athletics team? We weren't always like this, I remember when we used to produce elite track and field athletes and even amateur boxers etc. Can't really put my finger on where we went wrong. The days of Ebun Comets etc

lack of proper leadership is where we went wrong. The people at the helm of affairs just want to collect salary and go home, nobody wants to do anything or make any impact

What kind of people work in NSC and the Nigerian Basketball Federation? They should all be ashamed of themseleves and their incompetence
our football had been in same predicament time and again,
until pinnacle and his board decide it will not continue with them,
dalong Salomon came to mind

that's why whenever our gals or boys or youth reamer complain about not being paid their bonus, I don't take part of anybody pointing fingers at pinnick

I think Isaac and Iwobi could start.
Gray was poor last time for Watford and Success could very well take his spot today. Also Everton will be without 2 starting midfielders so Alex might get a nod.
if I hear, Success have been poor for 2 seasons

So FIFA actually sent mails to Siasia, but he said he didn't get it on time as he doesn't check his mails. Laughable

Do you really think Rohr invited those ones he may give the impression that it's one man show.

I can assure you that's it's not.
Rohr is not totally in charge of players selection. I agree with you oooh..haaaa!

Please guys, i heard a 17year old Sunusi Ibrahim was the highest goal scorer in the Nigeria football league last season. And he has been playing professionally for 2 seasons for Nasarawa United. Do under age sign professional football contracts in Nigeria? And at what age can a player sign professionally in Nigeria. This baffles me.

this is why you should check your mails

At least he cannot say they did not give him an opportunity for fair-hearing, he just didn't show up. They would be right to mete out whatever punishment they deem fit

Now,you are getting my point. Their brilliant performance earn them multiple and consecutive call ups not because they like or comment on NFF pages. If maduka can get call up without any brilliant performance at club level, then you have no right to write off Dele because of his lack of game time. That is my point.
Maduka being a fine boy might be the reason his invitation dey sweet your belly like this.
Earthquake.. you are the one not making sense... This was my point... may God let you understand this one..SMH

I know a lot of people who do not check their emails regularly but Siasia with his position suppose to be active with his emails. By the way do not add stew to your point. The post clearly stated one email so from the look of it, Siasia might be saying the truth that he did not know anything about it if FIFA only tried reaching him by email.

An email to me is not enough to try reaching Siasia when it concerns his career. Why did they not try reaching the NFF to reach out to him or try getting his phone number. An email does not add to me and from your comment, you know some people do not check their emails regularly.

that is between you and Siasia.

Did they try to reach him? Yes

Is he the only one they sent emails to? No

Did others respond to their emails? Most likely, yes

An email is sufficient. They are not based in Nigeria, do you expect FIFA to send emissaries to his house, before you will agree it is sufficient?

Why should they do all that? Who is Siasia? Have they been getting phone numbers of the other accused persons previously, that they should extend such to Siasia? Did you give FIFA money to call him? Or did you give them money that will transport NFF to his house to deliver the message?

Goodjoe, just because you support a person, does not mean you should be unreasonable about it. Emails are an official form of communication in most parts of the world. Serious-minded people in any career, check their emails every morning. If he knew he doesn't check his mails, he shouldn't have used it as a means of contact. Nobody owes him any extras.

typical Nigerian trying to defend incompetence, gives excuse for anything and everything. if you care to know I get notification for mails so I see all mails
