Siasia: NFF Reacts To Fifa’s Life Ban, Reveals Next Move by AgencyReport: 9:00pm On Aug 19, 2019
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has finally reacted to the life ban placed on Super Eagles former coach, Samson Siasia, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV had reported that the world football governing body, on Friday, banned Siasia from football for live over bribery and manipulation of matches.

Reacting in a statement obtained by Igbere TV on Monday, Acting NFF President, Seyi Akinwunmi said the body was shocked by the life ban verdict on the former national coach, vowing to overturn it.

He said that the FIFA report had been given to NFF’s lawyers “to study and provide legal advice to the federation,” adding that Siasia “gave his all for Nigeria.”

Full Statement,

“The NFF was shocked to learn of the investigation and subsequent decision by the FIFA Ethics Committee (Adjudicatory Chamber) placing a life ban on Mr. Samson Siasia.

“He is a football legend but most importantly he is a Nigerian.

“We respect the FIFA processes”, said Akinwunmi but added, “the least we as a Federation can do is empathise with him at this time make ourselves available to him and hope that in some way he is able to clear his name.”

Both Siasia and NFF should go and sleep.
That was how he was paid 300-400k by each players that he took to the fifa 2005 U20 World Cup. The likes of Daddy Bazuaye, Monday James and Ambrose Vanzeki that he took from Bendel Insurance then paid he 350k each. There is always a time for all cheats and criminals. Who has noticed that Siasia though a good coach but always go to competitions with some of the worst players ever to grace football? 2016 Olympic comes to mind. Same thing the late Stephen Keshi did prior to 2014 world that he had to take the likes of Uche Nwafor and that flavour lookalike to the World Cup

Wonderful news! Siasia's ban is indeed a good news!

If you've ever contributed in one way or the other to bring Nigeria to what it is right now, whether you're a politician or not, whatever evil and setback that comes your way take it with good fate because more is coming!

Whatever siasia is accused of that made fifa to ban him for life, I'm 100% sure he's guilty of it, and here are his corrupt colleagues and partner in crimes sympathizing with him as if they are saints, shameless idiots!! .. Just a matter of time you all will reap what you sow!

Monsters disguised in human form!!

This are really trying times for Samson Siasia, his mother is still in custody of kidnappers and now this. I pray he overcomes all this challenges.
But still on the ban matter i think he guilty, because before this accusation of match fixing, he had been mentioned a few times by players for collecting bribe, so i think there is a link btw all this accusations, well, he is not the only one doing it, he only got caught.

Trying times for Siasia.

Not the first time he has been fingered in cheating though.

Justice comes eventually.

On another note, may your momma be released unscathed.

Still find it inconvenient to believe. I thought Siasia is a Professional Coach with blameless and clean record. I have wrongly looked up to him as an embodiment of what African Coaches should look like. He is such a disgrace if the above allegations against him were true. I used to wonder if the crops of players that grace our national teams on regular basis are the best out there. I was completely wrong especially when I heard of a news of a particular guy over the radio while driving who came from abroad to partake in a qualification round for Nigeria to select those who will represent Nigeria in Olympics a month ago. This guy(dont remember his name) came second in Lagos and sixth in Kano. This guy obviously qualify to be picked to represent Nigeria and join the 6-man squad but no, someone who came 15th in qualification games in Kano was picked ahead of him.

Let Siasia dance to this beat. I know lots of Nigeria coaches do this as well. Nemesis will surely catch up with them and they will be exposed one after the other if not by the bunch of hypocrites and thieves manning the NFF, those bigger thieves with some credibility in FIFA will investigate and flush them out.

I can never say he is completely innocent.I'm a Nigerian I know what we are capable of.Nigeria, a country where a citizen that steals and takes bribe without a gun is seen as being very smart. The problem was he would have metamorphosed into a great coach.I wrongly feel sorry for him though.
