What, I believe, it implies is that those who were in the pool before the tie-breaking rule and had low scores that couldn't get them ITA at the time, upgraded their scores.

Oh yes, I see.. That definitely explains it. smiley

Thanks a lot. However the bank insists i must have an account with them, maybe I’ll have to try other options.
if i may ask which bank? in short never mind, i opened and run my FBN mutual funds from the comfort of my house, and guess who doesn't have an account with first bank ? my dear use another investment house, no time to waste time.

But really the rate at which ppl with above 450 score enter the pool is scary...remember there was a draw on the 12th that took out 3600 ppl,and by august 15th as per distribution above 451 is over 7k imagine if they didnt do a back to back draw maybe na 15k go dey pool grin

quote author=oluwaahmed post=81440528]
Not really. From the graph below we can see that 3600 people were issued ITA from 457-1200. Meaning that 3,565 people are left in the range of 451-600 as at Aug 15. Now I don't think an additional 1,500 peeps will have occupied the pool by today, maybe by next draw sha. I sha hope that at least the month of septmber will see peeps on 451 and above rejoicing so it can also come down to the batch of 450[/quote]

My Journey
It all started on a particular day in September 2017, I was bored at work (I have always been tired of my job even from the very first day I started) and I was chatting with a neighbor. During our conversation which was about getting a school either in the US or Canada for Masters. She mentioned going to Canada as a PR through Express Entry, I have always known about Express Entry but I didn’t have much information and I knew my parents wouldn’t allow me go there that way. Anyways, she explained the whole process and I was over interested. After understanding the whole process I was able to convince my parent. Afterwards, the first thing I did was to register for IELTS then I registered for WES on the 31/10/2017 I wrote the first IELTS and got (L8 R8.5 W7 S6.5) I hadn’t found out about this nairaland thread so when my friend advised me to remark I was like NO that I will write another one. Unilag on the other hand wasted my time until Nasu strike started. While waiting for Nasu to call off their strike I was looking for ways to get two or more certificates so I was stuck between using my Unilag Diploma and my CIPM (Please note that I didn’t know that Unilag diploma was evaluated as one degree with your Bsc) I finally decided to go with Unilag Diploma, but when I found out the stress involved I decided to remove diploma and replace it with CIPM but they said they couldn’t remove it. So instead of adding CIPM I decided to wait for WES to complete the evaluation which was completed on 31st of July 2018. Meanwhile during the strike I registered for another IELTS but the result was worse than the first one; LRWS- 7.5,8,6.5,6.5. Seeing the result I decided to wait for my WES evaluation to be completed before writing another one. After my WES came out in July I decided to upgrade to two or more certificates by using my CIPM but before I could register for an upgrade, WES came out with the WAEC thing. I went ahead anyway hoping I wouldn’t be affected but na lie them no gree, I sent countless mails telling them they could use scratch card but them still no gree. I accepted my fate and went to process my WAEC transcript. While waiting for WAEC verification I heard WES was accepting scratch cards, so I joined a whatsapp group from nairaland, someone was going to get the scratch card for us and also help with taking it to the courier office, all we did was donate money (May God bless that person). Finally my WES evaluation began, so I registered for IELTS exams for December 15, 2018. Come and see reading, fasting and prayer, I didn’t know I was that religious and I could take an exam so serious. I PMed Oga Wassaynest for Liz paid materials for writing which he sent to me (May god bless that man who is now a stranger turned brother now). After writing the exam, the two weeks wait period before the result comes out was the longest ever or so I thought. In fact at a point I was wondering if I could sleep and wake up in two weeks’ time  . Finally the result came out(LRSW- 8.5, 9, 7, 7) and I was at work then, I just entered the toilet and was crying and thanking God. I couldn’t get the hardcopy of my IELTS result immediately because of the Christmas holiday, so on the 2nd of January 2019 I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone, I was the first person at alagbon at 6:50am because I wanted to collect police report  afterwards I went straight to BC’s office for my result which could have been delivered to me by the way. I updated my profile immediately in case there was a draw that day (Please note that I had created my profile with my first WES evaluation and first IELTS). But the draw occurred the following week on Thursday January 10th, 2019. For medicals I used IOM because they are closer to me and QLIFE was overbooked, my medicals was on the 30th of January 2019 and immediately after my medicals I submitted my application.
Now this is when the real wait happens and I thought two weeks was long  two weeks wait is nothing compared to waiting for 5 months 23 days. Me that was praying for 2 months processing time, they showed me pepper. My parents forced me to order GCMS notes and I guess that triggered something because I got an ADR for schedule A and additional family information a week later.
When they say this journey isn’t for the faint hearted, it really isn’t. Sometimes I wonder how I survived the past months, my anxiety was on another level, it was crazy. I even have to pinch myself and remind myself that this is actually happening and that I’m leaving this country, it can get scary though because I will be leaving all my family and friends behind to start a new life. Finally thanks to this wonderful thread that made the journey easy, I started following this thread when it was in part 3 and I made sure I read from part 1 and that helped me a lot.

Please i need clarification on this matter. I am begging please it’s urgent.
Is it a must for both spouses to do ietls and also evaluate their certificates, I mean WES. Can’t just only the husband or the wife do the all process (ietls and Wes)and leave the other person out. But they will still end up applying together.

Please help a curious being

The question that would be asked, is why you did not use the ICAS to evaluate the CIPM since they were the ones that evaluated your first degree. Also, I am not familiar with ICAS, but I know that WES evaluation gives you a description for your credentials that matches the CIC's descriptions, so you clearly know where you stand with all you certificates as a whole... so with WES if you want to add an extra certificate you basically just pay a top up fee and they add it to your original profile and provide an updated evaluation for the whole thing... with ICAS though, I'm not very sure.

Based on my understanding, these are your options:-

1. Because it is much easier and straightforward and just a better idea to evaluate all credentials with the same Coy, you could call or email ICAS; tell them that you have an additional document you want to assess which is your CIPM (include details). Then explain that you'd like to avoid wasting your time and theirs which is why you thought to ask first how they typically evaluate CIPM or what they would evaluate it as.

I honestly don't know anyone who has had different creds evaluated by different companies, so i'm not sure how or if it works that way, but if they will evaluate it favourably, then that will be the ideal option and it makes everything super easy and straightforward for you.

2. If it turns out that ICAS does not evaluate CIPM favourably, then you could either get your CIPM separately evaluated by WES (but you should inquire as to if it's okay to have different evals, I don't know anything about that); or you could do the entire thing with WES, including your Bsc. You should bear in mind, that WES will charge you the same amount to evaluate just your CIPM, as if you did both your BSc and your CIPM. The only difference between evaluating just your CIPM with WES and doing ALL your credentials again with WES, is the additional cost and stress of having to get your transcripts again, doing the whole verification process and getting WAEC results sent. This process can be a bit tedious, though it may be easier than the first time.

3. Also, to further increase your scores, you could also have your spouse do IELTS and try to score as high as possible, I think you can get up to 20 or 30 points for just spouse's IELTS score alone if your spouse gets a very high score. However, considering the cost and wait time of IELTS exams, you should aim to only do this after a lot of prep and practice.

All the best!

Pls how much is this "top up fee" if you want to add a certificate for evaluation with WES

Hello guys;
Quick question for the post-AOR gurus: so I just got ITA today after waiting in the pool for over 2 months smiley. I have gone through the application forms, and I can't seem to locate where or how to upload the required documents (e.g. employment reference letters, POF, etc.). Is it that after I complete all the forms and submit them, I'll be taken to another page with the placeholders where I'll upload the documents?
