But this can be bad for spiderman comics.

i read somewhere this morning that they are working on a new deal,if the deal doesnt work then Marvel may do to Spider Man what they did to X Men and Fantastic 4 in the comics.

Sony and MCU cutting ties is really bad. But Tom will still pull a number of audiences and success for Sony but can never be up to when it's still in MCU. Even introducing venom alone might not do it for Sony. They both need to rethink and go back to the negotiating table.

You say it as if it was Sony who approached them. The previous deal was good enough for both parties.

As it was then, it should be now, but the money has blinded both companies.

I'm not writing off Sony, though; they did great with "Spider-Man: Into the spiderverse".

MCU had 5% of the profit, and when MCU made spiderman enter a billion dollars, Disney approached Sony with 50/50 % deal.
