But just how does one prove that he's educated?
Possession of a certificate is the only way I know to produce that one has received education up to a certain level at least formally which is what's required here.

That you can speak and write good English, were seen in a school compound with uniform and mingling with other students/pupils aren't enough.

It's even shameful that a president of a 21st Century country doesn't and is proud to admit he doesn't have a certificate.

Even more shameful are the host of SANs defending him.

This is what the Nigerian constitution says about educational qualifications of a president;

131. A person shall be qualified for election to the office of the President if -
(d) he has been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent.

Are you insinuating that Buhari had not been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent?

Nigeria is rich in mineral and human resources but the GDP that will translate to better life for its people has always been terrible since the aftermath of the civil war

So its nothing new that the index is still prevalent. However, Buhari's mandate is not to come and make you crooked and thieving PDP never-do-well lazy youths from the SE and SS richer but every Nigerian must work to earn its pay.

Find a job, no more sharing the money and maybe you will rise above that mental poverty that you have meshed yourself in

I know you are yeegbo I can tell, my advice to you is that if you cannot achieve your Biafuro find somewhere to go Israel and allow the President to do a thorough clean up.

...sentiments apart, certificate is not sure proof of one having attended school and seek education,
..in most instances one needs the testimonies of fellow colleagues to prove that.
....most persons attended school but left along the line.

The case against PMB was to make him provide his certificate by any means.
But based on the constitution and INEC laws, for such office, one has to prove that he has received formal education to a certain level.

Technically and non, this case against PMB is a waste of time and money by the opposition. The same man Atiku aided to become president knowing fully well he does not possess a certificate and he is in turn wants to remove same person!,!!!!!

I don't see how it plays out in his favour by any means.

That is your own interpretation not the opinion of the law as the learned persons interpret it.

Too much pain in your tone. Whatever it is, you can recover from it with God by your side. I don't want to ask where you are from, as that's not necessary yet. You need to heal first.

So what was the point of forging a WAEC certificate and gleefully parading it as proof of education?

How is he above the law when the constitution does not demand him or anyone to have or produce a certificate to be eligible into elective office.

Some of you blindly follow beer parlour and PDP concocted lies and propaganda as gospel truth without cross checking or reasoning - simply because such lies are repeated over and over again through the (mainly PDP dominated) media.

Attached is what the constitution says; in fact the last paragraph of the said provision, more less left the whole matter at the discretion of INEC.

Atiku doesn't have a case in hell to over turn Buhari's election victory; his lawyers are just deceiving him and feeding fat on his dubiously acquired wealth - 1st they sold him a dummy on the 'phantom' INEC server; then now on the issue of certificate, where any idiot can easily decipher that Buhari is even over qualified for the presidency in accordance with the requirement of the law.

They all know it as its written in black and white with rank xerox ink.
They have refused to see reason because of their hatred for PMB.
They just want to sing a song of PMB not having a waec certificate.

Nigeria is now officially a zoo, ordinary o level, our president don't have, you want to wait until law compels you to provide it, initially u claim is with the military, letter waec delivered it to you in aso rock.now your waiting until law ask u to provide it .it's a shame,it doesn't matter who is benefiting from this presidential mess, nigeria will go down in history as nation where education is not relevant in ascending to any leadership position, and that will further put the country in the next level of mess.

Buhari case reminds me of one Nigerian soap opera about someone who went into a community farm and the next person that entered became lame mysteriously. That story was an important setting that one character always says "it isn't easy". The opera to the best of my knowledge ran for 4years and there was no end to who finally was the guilty party. So is Buhari who would just not show us his certificate and yet drag the case for 8years. It shows he is not educated
