Guys guess what I found today grin

Ji mmanu! yes yam and oil lol.

First time I'm eating yam in years and I couldn't be happier.

Funny story; When I was a kid, I hated eating ji mmanu (yam and oil) cos back then in Enugu, we only ate yam and oil when money no dey for better food and some of the kids in our compound were mean and they'd make fun of us hahhaa but today, I was literary beaming with child-like glee cos I finally got to eat yam after so many years cheesy

I like 'ji mmanu' so much esp if the oil is mixed with grinded dry pepper and sat to taste.

Hi guys, I hope everyone had a lovely day?

I want to use this opportunity to thank everyone who subscribed to my YouTube channel. We've passed 200 subscribers and I have you guys to thank for that. 200 subscribers might not seem like a big deal but this is my first milestone on YouTube and I want you guys to know I really appreciate each and everyone of you who watch and share my videos. And If and when that YouTube money starts coming in the future, I certainly will make sure to share the love with you guys.

Now to answer the question that has been on everyone's lips.

Why I broke up with B?

I know I do not really owe it to anyone to explain what happened but I feel that since you guys were part of the journey from the beginning, it's only fair I address why I left our beloved B.

Some of you were there from the very beginning; from our first date at Red Square in Moscow to the family Vacation in Sochi and all the adventures we had so it's only right that I give you guys some closure.

Now to why we broke up. I'll keep this short.

Our relationship hit rock bottom when I told her about my decision to move to Saint Petersburg. Like I already explained earlier in my first post, moving to Saint Petersburg was a strategic decision which I believe is the best for my future and my plans.
Apart from the reasons I have listed before in the beginning of this thread, I am also currently on scholarship and if I had chosen to remain Moscow, I would not only have to struggle because the program is entirely taught in Russian language, but also worry about tuition each semester.

B wanted me to turn down the scholarship and stay in Moscow cos that's what I'm apparently supposed to do if I love her.

Bottomline, she kinda gave me two options. 1, if I love her, I should say no to the scholarship and stay in Moscow with her and we'd continue to live together. Or 2, move to Saint Petersburg and that will be the end of our relationship. In my mind I was like 'love gbakwa oku'

I told her that even tho I love her, my priority in life right now isn't starting a family but to work hard so I'll be able to provide and help my family back home in Nigeria. I did not come to Russia to play with snow or count white people. I came here for a reason, which is to study and search for greener pastures. There are people back home who depend on me, who pray for me daily to succeed so I can change my family's life. Everything I'm doing right now is for my family, my mom especially has suffered a lot in this life and all I want to do is to help them in anyway I can and any girl or person that threatens that, has no place in my life.
She did not understand this and I don't blame her cos our realities are different.

So that's it sha. We had other issues ho but this was the straw that broke the camel's back.

After we broke up and I had moved to Saint Petersburg, we kept seeing each other. She visited me a couple of times, and I also visited her in Moscow a few times.

After a few months, I realized it wasn't good for us to keep seeing each other after breaking up cos that means we won't really move on so I told her it's best we stop talking to each other and cut all ties. And that's what we did and we haven't spoken this year.

Whew! So that's what happened.

I want you guys to know this; even though B and I are no longer together, she will always be special to me, and the memories we created will be with me forever. B and her family are the kindest people I've met in Russia, they loved me, they gave me a home when I needed one and they accepted me into their loving family as one of theirs and for that I'm eternally grateful.

On my way back from the center. I had a really busy evening shooting for my channel and I can't wait to share the video with you guys. In the meantime, enjoy these beautiful pictures I took of the sunset over the Bolshoy Neva river.

You're really a man of character and I respect that. When you said love gbakwa oku I could smell that it was a facade. You tried to make it sound casual but I know it must've been hard on you.

The important thing though is that you made the right decision and I'm sure you're proud of yourself for that. If that lady is actually meant for you, years may pass but she'll confess she was wrong to give you conditions like that.

I'm glad you also understood she didn't mean to be a clog in your wheel only that these white people don't understand the realities of our lives as struggling Africans sometimes.

I hope others like myself can learn from you. Goodluck with the upcoming semester, and drop our video sharp sharp grin

P.S those photos are really nice. What camera and lens combo do you use please.

Oh sucks that beautiful relationship had to end with "choosing". Like you said, you came to Russia for a reason, if she was understandable, she would have moved down with you. All the best brother. God Grace!!!

Do you really expect a western girl to uproot herself & leave her school, job & family and move to a completely different city just because of love? Lol

Based on my experience most western girls wouldn’t especially since you’re only a Boyfriend...

Actually most times the inverse is the case...

The expect you to uproot yourself & move to a completely different city especially if they get a job promotion & often times than not they usually have their way...

I can basically count how many of my guys have relocated to a different city just because of their relationships but most girls aren’t willing to take such risks...

The bottom line is sometimes things like these are just super complicated...

I got your point...

Basically you were saying that if she loves Tochi then she should relocate with him but life just doesn’t work like that...

Other factors has to be put into consideration...

They both made a decision which they sincerely believe is best for their circumstances...

Why would anyone want to live in communist Russia?

Because Mother Russia is the latest superpower in town and no longer a communist state, besides - that is where I intend to spend atleast 3years of my life with you before relocating back to Ijebu to be crowned as the Arakangudu of Ijebu Land. grin

Ololufe mii, whatever you do, do not give birth yet, because our children are going to be Princes & Princesses, and do not damage your womb via abortion. You know, It is rampant in Amerika. grin

My people how far na? I just say make I come drop small update.

The past week was really stressful cos I spent so much time shooting and editing videos for my YouTube channel. Also, thanks to my channel and the exposure it brought I got booked for 3 separate photo shoots. 1 Nigerian girl and 2 Russian girls. Since YouTube never they bring money, make I use my photography dey chop small.

The Nigeriean girl is still arranging location and props for her photo shoot. I've already shot the other Russian girl. She is a model and wanted a lingerie shoot for her portfolio so we did lingerie and semi nude shoots. We wanted to do some at the pool but we couldn't arrange a nice swimming pool in time.

School resumes next Monday, so I'm going to use this week to at least shoot and upload 2 videos before that.

Below is a picture from the photo shoot. I unfortunately can't show you guys the rest of the shoot because of privacy; and also because they're too explicit to post here in the open.

Please check out my new drone footage of Saint Petersburg at night and please subscribe to my channel. More interesting videos and social experiments coming soon on Afro Rossiya TV

Thanks guys and I wish each and everyone of you a productive and nice week!

Peace and love always!

Dear tochi

First of all i have to say that i felt very bad that You and B broke up..... What You both had was beautiful and i feel bad that it had to end like that, knowing how much You both loved and cared For each other.... As much as You didn't want to show it, i know it must have been a Painful and difficult decision For You to make, but You have to know sometimes in life hard decisions must be made and i'm glad You understand that.....,

I started reading this thread first and was so Thrilled that i had to go and read up on the moscow thread and You have really Enlightened me on the country that i've ended up putting it on my Bucket list of countries i'll like to visit.

Finally i'm glad that there are Nigerians out there who are showing the positive part of our country ......i feel as if Nigeria has suffered Negetivity internationally (with the latest being the 78 people on f.b,i watchlist For Fraud) and it's high time we start showing the world What we Nigerians are made of.
