Good day house, I drive a 2005 camry (big daddy) athe check engine light won't go off after I got fuel from one (Pencil Oil filling station) last week. Immediately I started the engine after buying fuel the check engine light refused to go off, thought it's temporary but to my surprise it's still on.

Also, I thought I should be able to use 5k from Lakowe(ibeju-lekki) to lekki phase 1, to and from work for the week (mon - friday) but the 5k fuel I bought on Monday morning at Northwest filling station was already reading empty on Thursday evening, had to refill on Friday morning.

Please is everything ok, cause I just got the car and started driving it last week. Kindly assist. Thanks

Good morning sir, anytime I start my car (avalon 04) there is this sharp sound like something rubbing on iron then stops. My mechanic said it is oil distributor or something. Changed it and it still makes the sound. What might be wrong?

Honda city 2007
Auto with cvt gear.

Issue. Car has been parked for over a month. Prior to parking, car had no issue.
Tried to start car two days ago but realised the battery was flat.
Tried to jump-start. Car started, ran for about 10 seconds and went off. All efforts to restart proved abortive.
Bought another battery and tried again but car won't start.
No check engine light.
Replaced all coils and plugs. There is spark on all plugs when tested.
Fuel pump hums as should and fuel flowed out of the fuel line when opened. Fuel pressure okay as per what I saw.
The replacement plugs got wet after periods of cranking and were dried and brushed clean and reinstalled.
Hand held scanner showed the rpm to be about 200rpm during cranking.
I don't know what else to do. I have called a mechanic who said that there may be low compression. This engine has 95000km on the odo.
Is this possible at this mileage?
What should I look out for?

Good to see you found a soln

The radiator fan of my 2007 Honda Accord i4 stopped working, making the car to overheat. But when the AC is turned on, both fans come on.

A fuse was changed and it seemed the car was okay, but the issue came up again the next day.

the rewire is asking that I change the thermostat.
Does the thermostat affect the working of the radiator fan?
I was thinking it would be the Coolant temperature sensor.

Would appreciate if anyone could help me out.

I has happened to me.

Its not your thermostat, it is you coolant temperature sensor 2. Yes there are 2 of them but the 2 controls the fan. It is located at the bottom left of your radiator.

You have 3 options,
1. Replace the sensor
2. Bridge the connector (Fan will run with IGN II ON)
3. Constantly drive with AC on

That won't work on an 07 accord, except you mean bridging the relay contact..

From experience I would suggest he troubleshoots the fan control relay circuit before going to sensor.. Using the same car, I have driven around with a bad ECT2 sensor and my fan still cycled off & on as it should..

I guess the ECM noticed the sensor under the radiator was giving wrong reading and controlled the fan via the sensor on the engine block

Something made the fuse to cut.. Find that & your problem will be resolved..
Did you replace your fan motor recent? Or maybe drove inside water

Do you have a check engine light on? If yes.. Please scan & post the code here..

Is the temperature gauge on your guage cluster working? Asin does it get to red when the car starts overheating?

Please can someone help me with possible reason why my Toyota corolla 03 consumes fuel more than necessary. Though my exhaust lacks catalyst, as it was removed before purchase. I hv just replace it with some wire gauss as advised by a panel. Please I need assistance

How did you know that the vehicle was overheating?
What was the temperature the fans worked without the AC on?

True, i presumed 2003-7 would be same, it happened to a friend's 08 Accord.

However, he also experienced erratic over heating. The fan still cycled on and off normally at idle but never at specific temp bands. Once a while it will overheat. His case wasn't a bad sensor but the connector was somehow removed after engine replacement so wasn't connected.

I did live scan and noticed it would exceed its normal temp band before engaging the fan. My assumption was that the ECU relied on ECT 1 in the absence of ECT 2 unlike my 2003 which relied entirely on ECT 2. This, in my view is correct because ECT 1 is the outgoing engine coolant temp while ECT 2 is the incoming Engine coolant temp knowing that the outgoing temp is always higher.

In that case the erratic over heating stopped when the ECT 2 was connected.

Hello Oga GAZZUZZ. Please sir i notice a grinding sound around the timing belt side from my toyota sienna 98. I asked mechanic to hear the sound, he said it is either water pump or roller, I want to confirm from you is it possible.
