It's pretty surprising and sad how much people are defending their laziness and ignorance.

This is the parent's fault. I'd be embarrassed if my child had this attitude. It's not about the cooking. It's about the mentality. But I suppose that's just some people's personality, and parents can only do so much.

However, I don't think I've ever encountered someone I respect or like who's indifferent to cooking. I would never marry someone who doesn't cook at all. That just sucks.

Cooking is something sweet that you bond with family, friends, and partners over. It's a shame that some of these women (and men) won't know the joy of cooking a comforting, nourishing meal when their kid is sick. They won't know the joy of making a nice Sunday breakfast for family or barbecuing. It's almost callous to dismiss its value. Will you feed your babies out of a styrofoam container? That sucks.
