When they want to cut the cake, the groom's ak47 was erect and was well noticed. So he hurriedly went and sat down. Until after 20 mins

I wouldn't call it my worse wedding experience, but a funny one.

It was the wedding of one advanced couple.
Man in his 60s and wife in her 50s.

The daughters were the bridesmaids...

Since their sons came towards the end, they acted as page boys.

I was just wondering if it is compulsory to do "white wedding".

A lot could be avoided.

While I agree that it is good to be financially secure before marriage and to also hire an expert in all social matters, you need to understand that the economy isn't smiling right now and these wedding planners don't come cheap. Also, it is better to just have a parlor wedding with very few, exclusive guests. God knows that is my plan because I no get power for wedding drama.

As a DJ, experienced a wedding reception that couldn't start till 5pm. Reason: pastor wasted all the time in the church. By the time the couple arrived the recep venue, 90% of the guests had left. Worse, there wasn't any provision for lighting in the hall. The few left had to put on their phones torch

LOL. grin I can't stop laughing. Most Nigerian weddings are disorganized. Pay for the services of a wedding planner, they won't. Bride broke, groom broke, but they want to have a wedding. It's not by force.
You spend all your money for wedding what will happen during the marriage.. Receive sense.. Ekpa..

The stories up here have nothing to do with having or not having a wedding planner. You are off!

My neighbors’ wedding. They informed me that the Mass was at 10am. I told my sister to look out the window at intervals so she will tell me the couple will leave for church so that I can follow them thereafter.

At about 10:45am was when they finally left for Mass. I thought they deliberately told us 10am when the mass was 11am. I arrived the church at about 11:05am and found people praying the rosary and I was upset that the guy was not sure of the time for his wedding which made us come too early only to be told that his wedding was actually at 10am and the priest has celebrated their wedding mass in their absence and gone in. The rosary and songs was after it was for God to touch the priest’s heart to come out. We beg tire.

The priest eventually came out to bless them and wed them but it wasn’t a wedding Mass. The bride who was supposed to be received in the Catholic Church that day was not accorded the right. Her face was hard through out the celebration. I was just weak.

Attended a traditional wedding dressed in my Babariga attire shortly after graduation. The mc told the ashebi gals to search for and drag any eligible bachelor they like to the stage. One fine curvy damsel come drag me for centre stage and told the mc she likes me. Like play like play i spent the only remaining 5k wey I use decorate pocket(home and abroad) spreading money on her as she whines for me with hope that we'll continue behind the scene after the show. Laslas this fine babe shun me after the show on grounds that she's engaged. Ordinary number I no collect.Choi undecided

Worst wedding ever attended.

Okay, I didn't attend this one but it happened yesterday at the second street.
Engagement was supposed to start at 12pm yea, the Groom and his people got to the venue before the scheduled time only for the bride and her family to waltz in around 4pm. Baba slapped the babe and Serious fight and shouting started.

Followed my then bf from Lagos mainland to far away Badagry for his friends wedding. Being a foodie, it was hard for me to believe the low quality of the food served( Jollof rice be like rice mixed with a tint of palm oil). To make matters worse, there wasn't enough to go round. We weren't served. Lawd...I almost cried cos I was so hungry. Mother in-law had to be coming into the hall with the serving spoon to check which one of her friends has not been served grin yet.

I lost weight there and then grin grin
