There is no demand or supply logic to criminal activities since criminal activities prey on unwilling victims including drug related offences , young kids r hooked onto drugs by coercion , fraud and guile. They feed the need by hooking people to narcotics.

In the supply chain network of international drug networks , the country of origin of drug peddlers should be the ones to worry most , since the effects of the same are largely manifested in those countries.

The bigger question is what will happen when the countries effected by the drug peddlers decide enough is enough and put up draconian measures like in Indonesia.

Then where will the drug peddlers run to ?
The country of their origin.

It's largely a failure of leadership, and a decay in values...

This is what happens when society worships money, and accords undue respect to wealthy people with no query as to the source of such wealth... This is not the African, nor Igbo culture of time past.

Sadly, it will get worse... Many more are determined to get a piece of that heaven even if it means taking a short cut through hell.

There has to be massive reorientation, and indoctrination on the need to be legit even in the pursuit of the good life.

You are largely correct. I believe these patterns are grievous consequences of people's value system eroded. The greater problem for me is that these erosion of value system is spreading like virus and other ethnic peoples are not absolved either. Look at the share "population" of yahoo-yahoo; the society was almost "accepting" them.....and that was even more alarming. If Ruggedman can be attacked in London and Naira Marley who openly supports yahoo boys both in songs and videos can be adored what do you think this bodes for us? What do we make of a situation where Noble Igwe that pointed attention to where yahoo-funds moves is vilified and people like Hushpuppi who brazenly argued that yahoo-yahoo is "improving the economy" is celebrated?

If young Igbo boys just show up and build edifice as comparable to "Minna-Hills" and drive posh cars as valuable as a 6-bedroom flat...all without visible and sensible means of livelihood, are we not to be alarmed. We get carried away when they come for "Christmas" and splash; go to clubs and later post reciept of over N5m on SM......stewpid girls open legs.

I have re-evaluated my stand on this. Calling for a one-Nigeria camaraderie is useless in this terrible situation. Let's begin to call out peoples, question our values, call out individuals, direct the attention of law enforcement to these people, then we are truly on about solving this plague.
