ChiefkeefGB4:Have you seen or heard of any serving governor or president in Nigeria use his personal funds to defend himself or herself in elections tribunal cases or any other court case? Mrs Odili is behaving as if she just woke up from deep sleep after 20 years. In the same vain ,have you ever seen a governor or president in power or even his party use their personal funds to run elections? |

The lawyer should be made to appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal on why a public servant will appear in court in a private case. Its against the ethics of the public service. Malami should know better. |

yarimo: Don't worry, we will send her off very soon. The bribes she has collected has filled a bank, her cup is full. I don't understand why the wife of a top PDP ex-governor will adjudicate on Buhari's case. Wailers will wail, but we have the power and we shall use it to sack her disgracefully. |

Not using state resources in every dimensions seem to be granted to a sitting president as the president is considered state property.enbodiment of Nigerian state and sovereignty. You can not separate the state from the president.I tatk of practically let legal people come talk bla bla bla. |

some of us here are so sick and disgusting. The issue here has nothing to do with Peter odili, if Peter stole money go after him. The wife is doing her Job, she is not peter odilli , she is Mary odilli . we saw this coming ..she was a time bomb waiting to explode after Buhari's men have finished with their abrakadabra case. It's not only APC illegal judges bought over by the government that are available. FGN should go after odilli at their own peril, you will see the cold war in Nigerian Judiciary. |

Mary Odili is not Peter Odili. If you think her husband did anything wrong, don't include his wife!! Some of you are only talking about her husband while ignoring the subject of the matter! Buhari is using public funds for his personal use, which is a crime!! No one should be above the law!! 1 Like |

This fake Mr. Integrity is using public resources for personal gain and some supposedly educated folks are either trying to act like it's nothing, or detract from the point. Joke of a country. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Mariory: Link does not work but it is available elsewhere. Buhari has legalised corruption in high places. The Supreme Court however frowned at the appearance of a Principal State Counsel from Federal Ministry of Justice, Abdullahi Abubakar for president Buhari in a personal litigation. https://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/stop-using-public-funds-to-defend-yourself-in-court-%E2%80%93-supreme-court-warns-buhari-%E2%80%93-nairaland.402903/ http://thestateonlinengr.com/supreme-court-strikes-out-perjury-suit-against-buhari/ www.nairaland.com/attachments/2151923_10959780101527066886056781674305683697845804n_jpeg88571234fc99d5765ef94ba8883de888 1 Like |

AnanseK: And who declared or revealed to you that Atiku is using public funds? What judicial indictment or court judgment do you have against him as proof to support this stupid allegation against him? Buhari sits in office now as president, a serving staff of the FG has been appearing on his behalf for a private matter and not government business yet your dirty bias and partisan slavishness will not let you even be honest for once. Instead you rather justify Buhari's crime with the cooked up lies you APC midgets like to peddle. It is a a shame really. 1 Like |

First this is not an election petition matter, it is a pre-election issue that is unfortunately statute barred as the court has ruled. Secondly, Bulkachuwa did not recuse herself voluntarily, PDP applied and showed grounds for their petition against her because of clear likelihood of bias. Buhari's team should have applied to have Mary Odili recuse herself from the panel if they are as ignorant as you are. AnanseK: 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello! They do not use government employees, they use private lawyers! The source of fund for their legal fees is open to debate but not this flagrant abuse of office as in this case! This is the first of its kind that a sitting elected officer will allow a government employee to appear for him in a private matter! wirinet: |
