No, it is not true

If one person is involved in a criminal activity, he or she should be arrested and tried In competent court of law.

However, your police and justice system is just as corrupt as all African countries and we understand that.

Hence, criminals are given a free hand in your country.

However, government officials and average South Africans shouldn't blame their inadequacies on a group of people who are simply trying to make a living for themselves.

Some Corrupt police take a bribe from this drug dealer and let them free if the Community report them, That's where mob justice is taking advantage of the whole situation, The community always complain about the corrupt officials, That's Why they are behaving like this

Bro I get annoyed when I see this

Do you think South Africans accept the truth by blaming Nigerians for all vices in their country?

We tend to accept negative stereotypes in Nigeria a lot because we wired to think that Nigeria is the worst place on earth and Nigerians are worst people that ever existed.

How can we develop our country with this type of mentality?
bro, this is not about accepting stereotypes, b4 the xenophobia attack became pronounced I made a comment here about how Nigerians have messed up South Africa n how the citizens are tired of Nigerians but people insulted me n called me all names. bro I have been dere b4 n I know how these people see Nigerians, they know us more than we know ourselves. if a south African should see a Nigerian doing business all they say is mene wanayi meaning cover up cos they know the guy is doing illegit underground n b4 u know what's up police will arrest d Nigerian n he will bribe d police n they will release him. that's y majority of south African believe their justice system have been compromised so they take law into their hands. they see Nigerians as dubious folks, please take sometime out to check many of my comments on these topic n u will see me repeating d same thing. what am not comfortable with is how they roast them n loot their properties but my brother without mincing words south Africans are tired of Nigerians of in doubt check facebook n see for yourself

South Africans expressed their grievance wrongly by resulting to looting and killing of foreign nationals. They must hold their government responsible to address some of the following challenges: a better standard of living, reduction in unemployment rate (which they often blamed on foreigners), relatively high cost of living, glaring corruption among it's political elites, illigal drug trafficking, and others national issues.

Apart, from Nigerians and other West African nationals in South Africa, the later also serves as home to many of her neighboring countries

About 70% of foreigners in South Africa come from neighbouring Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Lesotho.
The remaining 30% is made up of people from Malawi, UK, Namibia, eSwatini, previously known as Swaziland, India and other countries.
There are an estimated 3.6 million migrants in the country, a spokesperson for South Africa's national statistics body told the BBC, out of an overall population of well over 50 million.
How do different regions compare?
Gauteng province, which includes South Africa's largest city Johannesburg and the capital Pretoria, has the highest rate of violence against foreign nationals, followed by the Western Cape, according to the ACMS. KwaZulu-Natal, where Durban is situated, is third.
Attacks have mainly taken place in large cities, but they have also been reported in smaller towns and rural areas.
The violence is often triggered by local disputes, with migrants being accused of taking jobs away from South Africans.
Foreign-run shops have been looted and destroyed

He is right. Many Nigerians in SA are drug dealers and human traffickers.

But i wish the SA govt would seek assistance from the NGA govt on how to clamp down on NGA nationals with questionable characters who intend to come to SA and stay, because it is those ones with questionable characters that indulge in crime in SA

The Police of SA also, should do their jobs in bursting crime gangs, and not allow civilians attack foreigners lawlessly, because that is barbaric.

Learn to read and comprehend.

So who do think should bear the brunt of their anger?

The South African police that is corrupt and aiding criminals or the innocent Nigerians that are involved in honest business?

There lies your problem

You should attack the authorities because only the authorities can make a difference

Not the innocent people you are attacking.

I repeat! even you expell all Nigerians from your country; criminals will still continue to have a field day in your country because of the systematic corruption within your police.

You are simply taking out your frustrations on the wrong people who can't change anything.

Bro, Xenophobic attacks started in 2008 when the number of Nigerians in SA were just a few thousand.

South Africa is a society ripe for criminal activities because it is one of the most unequal society in the world coupled with the fact that the police is just as corrupt as any other African country.

Nigerians didn't start crime in SA neither do they control the main criminal activities in SA

They only push the stereotype on us because we accept it.

We need to always tell them the bitter truth.

of course not, savages like you have been like this since you were freed from apartheid, you fear your white apartheid masters who till now still control most of your economy, banned you black south Africans from white owned churches, banned you from renting apartments in certain white dominated areas, and even separate your children from white kids in your schools,so i dont have time to change the mind of babarbic cowards. Lol.

I know having your ancestral lands sized by white men till date has made you south africans turn your frustration to black foreigners, smh.
so it will be useless trying to change your mind, you savages were better off to have been left in apartheid tho,cos that is all you miserable cowards deserve.

Can you see why we DONOT SUPPORT SELF HELP, LYNCHINGS and ANY EXTRA-JUDICIAL ACTIONS no matter where they occur and no matter who is involved. Yes, including that suspected thief in the market stripped, geaten and burned alive, and yes, that pastor alleged to be involved in ritual activities.

If you can support the maiming and killing of your fellow citizens on unproven allegations calling that justice then you have no case whatsoever against crazy South Africans who do similar based on speculations, heresay, vice, envy, whatever, that neither gives an opportunity to the victims to defend themselves in a court of justice.

Jungle justice does no one any good be it at home or abroad. No one is the wiser as to what, why and how about the crimes, the criminals, their networks, associates and modus operandi when justice is truncated such as to properly handle such incidents and make for a better society moving forward because ALL is lost to impulsive barbarity.

Say no to hypocrisy, say no to escalating violence anywhere it is found.

I watched a documentary on this last month.
U are right but. I will tell u the truth.
Your people lack self esteem so much.
I am thinking it's yrs of white colonialism.
U guys don't mingle. U hardly travel and u have that victim mentality written all over you.

I so much agree our people and people from other countries do illegal things in your place but why don't u guys sit up?

The victim mentality and rascality u guys display is exactly what the blacks do in America.
Is that helping u guys?
Remove the white minority that control your economy and hunger will kill u guys as u guys have refused to strive to erode yourselves of victim mentality.

Our country is likewise filled with the most corrupt officials. Our police was rated the most corrupt yet we forge ahead and sometimes confront and deal with them. So why can't u guys deal with your institutions?
Very soon u will be an island unto itself.
U forgot too soon. Without other African countries, u would have still been slaves.
After slavery ,many African countries and the world gave u free pass. From the way u guys are going, that door will soon close if care is not taken and when u cry out ,nobody will answer
