How many SAn officials/director did we kill for MTN's numerous malpractices (running into billions) in our homeland?

ANSWER THIS QUESTION, ARE NIGERIANS THE ONLY PEOPLE INVOLVED IN DRUGS IN SOUTH AFRICA?

How is this relevant to what is happening in SA?! Everyone knows that Nigerians are involved in drug trafficking ON A MAJOR SCALE in south Africa....and whether other nationality deals in illicit drugs is irrelevant.

The simple question you should ask IS: should all Foreigners be attacked and blamed because a few foreigners are criminals?!

IF IT IS TRUE THAT MANY NIGERIANS ARE DEALING DRUGS IN SOUTH AFRICA, IT IS SIMPLY BECAUSE THE SAs ARE DRUG ADDICTS WHO ARE VERY DESPERATE FOR DRUGS.

IF THE SAs ARE NOT DESPERATE FOR DRUGS, NOBODY CAN FORCE THEM TO BUY DRUGS.

WHETHER THE DRUG DEALERS ARE CHINESE, AMERICANS, INDIANS, MALAWIANS, GHANAIANS, NIGERIANS, EGYPTIANS, etc, IF THE USELESS SAs DO NOT DEMAND FOR DRUGS, NO DRUGS CAN BE FORCEFULLY SOLD OR GIVEN TO THEM.

NIGERIANS MUST STOP ENDURING AND SEND 20 SAs TO VISIT MANDELA FOR EVERY SINGLE NIGERIAN THEY MURDER.

SAs ARE MOSTLY VAMPIRES AND VULTURES

U WANT TO USE MEDIA TO DEAL WITH NIGERIA AND BLACK LIST THE COUNTRY.

If Nigerians are drugs traffickers, South African Government have law enforcement agencies to handle such issue not the citizens taking laws into their hands! this is totally unacceptable. Bikonu

And some armchair economists who know nothing about business were busy blabbing yesterday how Nigerian reprisal attacks in Nigeria wouldn't have any effect in S.A since Shoprite and co are franchises bla bla bla.. and today we got this;
Capitalism is everything. The earlier you all accept it the better.
Shoprite,MTN and co have started threatening cyril Ramaphosa to see past his xenophobic tendencies.

ShopRite is owned by South Africans so the looting will affect the company big time. MTN and the rest are franchises but franchises supply those who buy their franchise with training, equipment, portion of franchise revenue and supplies so attacking franchises will affect the franchise big time. They know the potential loss of business from this saga will affect South Africa big time if care is not taken. Nigeria is a very big customer for them.

Better for them that their head is beginning to think straight now.

100 percent correct but is there anyone in Govt that has sense to implement this simple task.
AkeNathan:
He is right. Many Nigerians in SA are drug dealers and human traffickers.

But i wish the SA govt would seek assistance from the NGA govt on how to clamp down on NGA nationals with questionable characters who intend to come to SA and stay, because it is those ones with questionable characters that indulge in crime in SA

The Police of SA also, should do their jobs in bursting crime gangs, and not allow civilians attack foreigners lawlessly, because that is barbaric.

I do not blame him I blame some of our media including Nairaland that reiterates this perception in the absence of a reasonable data.

I created a topic yesterday with a researched data that shows the countries that supply drugs to SA but the mod hide it Crime section.

I am disappointed with this your comment. Who grants visa, who does law enforcement within SA jurisdiction. What's the business of the Nigeria Government in regulating who enters South Africa. The incompetence stinks.
These are the type of narratives that reinforces the criminal looting of Foreigners businesses in SA.

Don't you know NGA government can assist SA immigration officials who grant visa, with enough background checks on Nigerian individuals immigrating into their country?

No, for once let's call a spade a spade, that exposé was actually true. If you've been to SA you won't argue a bit, but that still doesn't justify the maiming and lynching. In my opinion, the best thing to do is to create a strong institution to curb the menace.

I thought we had incompetent government officials in Nigeria. But the level of incompetence is South Africa blows my mind away. The government officials words and actions show that they support the mob actions of their people. If there are drug pushers/dealers in your country why not arrest, jail and or deport them? Are you an animal? Why mention it now during this Xenophobia saga as kind of a justification for what happened?

Yet, Nigerian government is trying to play the bigger role. Well Nigerian government is sitting on a potential explosion because 6months from now, it will happen again and this time, Nigeria will explode. The repercussions will affect the politicians in Nigeria if they do not take decisive actions against South Africa now.

Nice point.

I know Buhari will be nodding his brainless head to this baseless propaganda coming from the minister.

About 67% of Nigerians over there including my erstwhile Boss are big business owners there and some are in top positions in their establishment or parastatals and they became envious of of their growth started causing problems related to apartied we contributed so much to end up.

Am not surprise at these SA people who became the 1st Africans to sign into law the same sex marriage bowing to the devil in order to have a hosting right of world cup.

That's not even the point... Nigerians have the same bad name across the globe, especially in Asia, but do you see them committing atrocities like xenophobic attacks?...

If their security agents were not incompetent or even downright corrupt and culpable, how many have they arrested and jailed or extradited for such offenses?... If drug peddling were veritable ground for violence against foreigners, then U.S, Asia, and India ought to lead the way.

Little wonder these Negroes are slaves in their own country... They don't have the simple intelligence to sort out their own affairs. Imagine what an elder statesman is misyarning.

I know you are smart so I wasn't referring to you as the armchair economist but those wannabes who are dumb enough to think because it is a franchise mean that the parent company won't lose.
Those were the fools I was targeting!
The parent company loses more sef due to brand damage and I also think the Nigerian franchisees for retail outlets as big as those will be insured.
So losses have been mitigated for the franchisees sef hence their soft landing is sure.
S.A has been pinched hence the rapid response grin

Not long ago, Indians in Goa where beating Nigerians for the same drug related offence. Same in Ghana.
Good news is that they have now started deporting ilegal residents in their country, which is better than the gang beating and killing.

Big slowpoke of a minister so they push drugs is a licence to kill and massacre defenseless nigerians. And do south africans not do drugs in their own country. Were there no drug traffikers and prostitutes before nigerian got to your country? Or the victims whose stores were vandalised and burnt were these people selling drugs in their shops like provision stores? Or are the somany other non nigerian foreigners who have bn killed also drug pushers. This fool just one drag our name to the mud like every other country they when nigerians are involved. We are talking about the cold blooded killing of foreigners and you are crying drug trafficking and prostitution.
