In my opinion, I don’t think sending an email to Total would solve anything because Total rarely responds to emails. Also, from the 2018 thread, I got to know that Total actually has presence on nairaland and sees everything we post here. This thing happened last year that’s why I’m really not bothered about anything. After receiving the test invite last year, our status on the Total platform didn’t change from “application unsuccessful “.

I’ll just advise everyone to calm down sha. Total is not the end of the world. My own two cents.

The problem with dragnet is not the verbal. Yes it's a bit tougher having to read a long passage and pick two correct answers. But I would pick that over the evil/wickedness/witchcraft/sorcery that dragnet calls Abstract Reasoning. SHL any day over the abracadabra that is Dragnet

PS: And like the poster above said, yes Total HR staff touch base with this (and numerous other) threads on this forum. No need to email them because whatever email you are sending your communication to is not read by anyone

what's the fate of those who gcc didn't invite for test or interview, whose gcc dashboards still read "application received " and whose total dashboards read unsuccessful application but received apology Mail from Total EP-NG-HRS?

Dragnet questions aren't that tough per se, their testing method just has many factors that question their willingness to even give candidates a fair attempt at the chosen form of assessment.
Yes people still scale through, but then, everyone ain't super-fast or brainy. A lot of folks have potential and are employable, they can do much better than these tests.
Dragnet making these tests super tough to meet client specifications (The recruiting companies) is killing whatever little hope these folks have.
At the sight of dragnet in an assessment mail invite, some people now just lose hope even before the assessment itself.

1-The timing for these tests are crazy, before you even read some voluminous verbal questions, or use the uncommon shortcuts, your time is speed-breathing its last.

2-The calculation given to you needs more time than you're availed, sometimes a lot of candidates know how to attempt these questions, but for the speed and volume of calculation involved, you'd rather zap through and answer all questions than commit the little time to answering just a few you conveniently can solve under considerable timing.
In some cases you end up solving the question, getting an answer, only to hold onto your mouse for that one click, the system takes you to the next section #painful. (This usually happens towards the end of a particular section).

3- The Abstract reasoning is the most annoying part, the patterns are not easy to decipher within the little time frame given, or probably the sequence/patterns are too easy, we (candidates) are too busy looking above our noses.

The one that has to be addressed is the quality of image you're meant to decipher, the quality is something I would love them to take seriously. How can i figure out a pattern from tiny boxes with illegible tiny objects inside them, (i don't even have a medical optical condition, how much more an individual who suffers such) ?

No disrespect Sir,

I really doubt if you read through all i wrote, and even if you did, you probably didn't get the message the write-up conveyed.

I highlighted the downsides of the testing system, a great percentage of candidates failure of dragnet assessments is not a function of laziness, but as a result of anomalies associated with the recent testing system.
I can be many other things, but one thing i know i am not near being is "Lazy".

Ps: I have scaled about 3 Dragnet tests before now, scaled more difficult tests like KPMG's GMAT and still scaled through, MTN's Function Specific test, MEST Africa's assessment, UBA's assessment, i could go on and on but that's not the point.

I have done two Dragnet assessment's within the last six months (2019 Exxon Mobil GT recruitment and Nigerian Stock Exchange GT recruitment).

When last did you take an assessment by Dragnet Sir?

Give it a shot is what I’ll say. I got to the final stage last year. Contrary to what people say, the process is fair. Yes, they may have 1 or 2 hitches but overall, it is fair.

I have 2 friends that got hired last year and I can truthfully tell you that they knew nobody on the inside. We were all skeptical about applying but we really went far in the process

For example the BUYER position, the MGR may say he needs the new recruit in 3weeks max window. The contract Engineer is needed in 4weeks max window. In that way HR organises herself. So Buyers position applicants you guys are moving on your process. Contract Engineer applicants, expect your invitation from next week but you all need to know that initial selection is over.

If you got regret mail move on. Those that got regret mail and also an apology mail that asked you to disregard please prepare for your interview. You have been screen out to face the next stage.

Oh thanks,any idea on how the interview would look like,is it Skype,online or dragnet CBT,or is it just straight to oral interview for the experienced roles of 1-3 or 5yrs experience, pls shared more lights on how u feel or think d interview process gon look like for the experience roles..thanks.
