This typical New age bullshiiit crap.

My dad currently use Redmi Note 7 with Chinese ROM. He figured out how to install GAPPs by himself by a simple Google search. Even when his playstore misbehaves he sort it out himself. He has updated his phone severally without issues So using a Redmi Note 7 or any Xiaomi device is not Rocket science.

Even you wouldn't dare restart your phone while your phone is doing a firmware upgrade. So how you shifted the blame to Xiaomi is what baffles me.

No one will or is forcing you to use any xiaomi device be it Phone, or accessories.

Be guided when making statements

As in, he made it seems as though Xiaomi no be phone. Like other manufacturers don't push updates and don't give same warnings while updating.

The guy is very good at nit-picking comments here.

We call am Samsung fan boy, he no wan gree.

The update information reads "Dont unplug"

But it is totally possible for nepa to take light during that time. Or power to be disconnected unknowingly

And it will restart the updating process

Never has it never read the decoder has been destroyed.

And in my years of scouring the phone thread i have never come across such complaint.

I hope he finds a permanent solution to this problem. Everyone is prone to make mistakes.

Such a Beautiful phone and most likely brand new too. I wonder what he must be feeling now. I will advice him to take it to a very competent phone Repairer.

Is it the fault of Xiaomi that he had issues with his device or his fault for not being patient?

You have serious issues if you don't know.

An average user while updating his phone will notice the warning and follow suit. There's nothing techy about that. Stop making it sound as though Xiaomi is too complex to use. If you call Xiaomi complex, what will you call iPhones?

Your talk no hold ground at all. Just waka pass.

I was expecting him to respond to me. I don't have a problem about him been a fanboy but not been able to know when to display the fanboyism

Exactly. The moment a user have issues with his/her phone here, you'll always see him trying to bring Samsung, Infinix and/or Tecno into the picture. Like, if you don't use Xiaomi, you won't experience this issue.

Who does that abeg?

I have said it and from your comment it seems like you failed to take notice of it. I said this " Tecno and Infinix need not be updated and their updates doesn't take long. In my years of using phones i have never encountered an update that is more than 1gb and install that last more than 30minutes. That is using mobile data which ought to be slower"

This is totally unnecessary i think we should empathize with the guy. Not insult nor argue, i hardly have need to comment on other issues.

I have helped solve complaints on this before. So i am not a hater. I am just not silently observing.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by abdsamad(m): 7:43pm On Sep 08, 2019
The spirit of weekend commotion is still going strong.

Someone asked about how to fix his phone after painfully acknowledging his mistake, yet most responses were to tear into him.

Somone pointed out that rn7 was complex, without bashing or blaming the device for the problem, yet another gang of counterfans decided to stick up for dear Xiaomi, which was not under attack.

Weekend is boring if it's not swimming (errm, drowning) in a toxic pool of wasted comments so I guess... Meh

The person who commented after you Sir. Had more valid counter points which i decided to address as a whole.

We are all fanboys, if i decide to switch to Xiaomi gang i will automatically become a like you guys. That is a hardcore fanboy of the Xiaomi brand.

I have never insulted nor put up hate speech against anyone. I have always been against using insults. Because i believe we can all be of help to each other. And i am not one known for creating different monikers. Till i decide to leave Nairaland this will be my moniker.

I was able to place myself in the guys shoes. Because this is something i can do. And stop others from raining insults on the guy. It has happened a solution is to be given and nothing more.

1. Before you commented solutions had been proferred.

2. Only one person insulted and he was chastised.

3. You didn't profer or suggested anything but attacked the device with so much hate but fail to realise that the user was solely responsible for what happened.

You said you have never had over 1Gb of update and it have not exceeded 30mins. My Redmi Note 5 did a 1.6Gb update to MIUI 10 and Android 9 under 20mins in both cases.

Before defending the user he never stated how many minutes the update process was when he decided to take the high road.

4. I don't care about your moniker, never even checked it out so leave that out of it. Alot of us uses a single account. Have had mine for over 8years no biggy.

5. Learn to be objective and not subjective. It have been proven time after time from your posts on this thread and it have been pointed out severally. Everyone can't be wrong and you the only right person.

Bye.

acekid, gptech and many others have given him solutions. Maybe you didn't see that. And only one person insulted him.

Either ways, it's only normal for people to question his lack of patience.

I don't see anything wrong in that.

I keep telling peeps that if you are not A Very Good Gadget freak then RN7 is not for you. I absolutely love the Design and The intricasies of the RN7.

But to those who have dont have the mind to patiently develop their device. Then RN7 is not for them.

It is important to note that at one time or the other MOST PEOPLE WOULD HAVE BEEN TEMPTED TO HAVE END THE UPDATE. Because coming from phones like Iphone , Samsung even Tecno and Infinix. These phones require no update before you can use them. You can as well do without updating them( transission).
An update of close to 2gig taking close to an hour will surely get an Old Person Scared and a Young Person who has no knowledge of Gadgets petrified.

The guy already admitted his fault even before anything else. The only thing we can do is help get his device back up to speed. It is annoying yes, but we are past that now. What we need are solutions and Gptech, Acekid and a few have offered to help if you have any solutions fine but if not let's watch how it all plays out.
