Nigeria is the land of weird people.

This is where you'll see people defending a greedy politician who wantonly embezzled state funds!!

Nigeria is where you'll see people defending a silly policeman who aid crime!!

Nigeria is where you'll see people defending a rapist and accuse the victim of either been too beautiful or having irrestible appearance.some fools will even say the victim dressed seductively and so she deserved to be raped!!!


I've seen a thread here on nairaland where a guy got scammed and some nairalanders came out to defend the criminal and immediately turn the victim to the villain..


At times, I do feel nigerians deserve all that's happening to them.very weird and bizarre bunch!

I once shared my own story of how they came to my house here too. Let me just copy and paste it.
Two Saturdays ago, it was the regular environmental sanitation day in Ondo state. We usually observe ours on the last Saturday of the month.
I heard a knock on my gate and I told my wife to check who was there. She asked who and they said NEPA, from inside I was like, I don't owe power company now. What do they want on a Saturday morning.
Before I know what, this hefty men came into my sitting room brandishing guns of different sizes I don't know their names. Well I'm not a fan of guns so I don't exactly know which is which, I don't even know which one is the very popular AK45.
I asked them what they want and they said they are from Abuja, that they got information that km selling weapons and sponsoring cultists!
I was dumbfounded. Me! Selling guns!
They said they want to search my house, I didn't even remember to ask of any search warrant. Go ahead ooo, I'm a programmer and I own a ICT school college in the state.
After ramming through all the rooms, turning everything in the house upside down, they asked if I'm the owner of the car packed in the compound, I said yes I am, they said how can I afford that kind of car. I was like, I'm 30 years old, I graduated from school 6 years ago, I own my own company, why won't I be able to afford a 2006 Honda accord!
Is it that bad in this country!
They searched my laptop, my phones, my wife's phones. After all said and done, they said I have to follow them, they asked me to drive my car so off we go.
On getting to the station, they asked me to pack my car and get into their white bus that they came in. Off we go again, they made a few similar arrests with the same story and now we are like 3 in the back seat of the bus. While we were going back to the station, one of them who I think is their team leader got a call that the person is at a particular atm stand. They went there and picked him up. It later turned out that was the person they actually came to arrest before they decided to raid my house.
They started slapping him one millions times in turns, he kept begging them to please relax, he will settle them, he was about to call them, blah blah blah.

Long story short please, this man was a scammer that specializes in defrauding people by pretending to be an harbalist, from his statement, I also found out that he just scammed a politician seeking appointment as NDDC chairman of 4 million naira.

After writing his statement, they started negotiating with him about how they will share the money. He further revealed to them that he has already sent 200k to the area command in Akure as bribe so he's left with 3.8m
They said they will take 1m and he was begging them to take 500k cuz he still has to pay some of his boys.
Long story short. They borrowed pos from a woman selling cash for transfer and collected 500k from this man. They released him and he drove out of the station.
That was when my head sparked, how can you release a criminal like that while me that is innocent is still here.
Long story short, they released me at 7pm and as I drove home, I couldn't believe what just happened.
That man was even bragging that why won't he respect them when it's not like he's ready to quit this job and they were like, dem no born you well make you no respect us now.
One of the officers was like, how much will my share be if I bring client to you. He said that depends on how much the client paid.
They also arrested some Fulani and collected 300k from them, I don't know what they did because they have arrested them the day before but I witness the negotiations between their leaders and the officers.
From what I heard, they were directed by the IG to come to Ondo state over the insecurity issues we recently face here and when they came to my house, they came with a bus with fully tinted glass.
After I read that bukola dakolo's story, I think I believe they are the same policemen and from all the information I gathered after the saga, they are actually IG's special force but they take contracts from individuals as well.
This may look like nollywood to you because nobody believes me whenever I tell people except for those that were there but it's absolutely real and I'm a witness.
Please if they ever visit you, don't argue with them, just comply and they won't arm you because they are really scary and I feel they can do and undo.

Sorry for the long post, I don't usually make long posts but I have to say this.

I hope you all don't forget incidents like this in the next elections personally i know Nigeria's problem can't be solved with an election. Something has to give sooner or later the status quo can't remain. It's a pity immigration is so expensive most of us would have abandoned the poverty capital of the world.


PS: we may need to start wearing secret body cams at night.. With their faces in your possession the rest they say is history..

it seems you are not a Nigerian, thanks for sharing but these people don’t care about rules of engagement and all, you argue with them then you are putting your self at risk, you follow them to the station they tag you with whatever they desire to tag you with, they won’t even let you make any call, I can relate with everything OP said, in my own case I was even cuffed and when I tried to raise my face gbosa on my face, the kind gbosa powerful enough to break PRG shade and I didn’t do nothing they said my car of over a year was reported stolen 2 weeks ago and the owner of the said car was killed so they tagged me as a criminal they started asking where I kept my guns and The likes, I was just lucky to see my mechanic drive by, that was how he called
My people but upon all they still collected 30k from my uncle cause I wasn’t going to give them anything

Yes I said yes to your question. This country is divided and rule, the northern oligarchy do not see Fsars issue as a priority or pressing issue since they are the one that make decisions and control the forces. You and I know this is a bitter truth except you want to argue this.

There would be more problems
If The people don't face this issues fire for fire, cos where this is going won't be surprised to hear that sars is not only kidnapping or forcing people to the atm for extortion but also taking their victims life. But come to think of it the police don't even need you to carry out there investigations them if they took you to a bank to use atm then I believe banks come with cctv cameras

No I didn't pay but that was because, my father and pastor intervaned before my car was released to me.

"End Sars" was moved by victims and concerned Nigerians but you never reported your case, making the wicked flourish if the righteous keep silent. I'm living close to sars camp there are now reformed. The success of Crying out loud.
