Congratulations baba. Am the next to testify here

Grant came in this morning for myself, my wife and my two kids: God has smiled on me and I just needed to lift people's spirit in the house. I will summarize my story at the end

Date of application: 11th August 2019
Documents submitted: PhD offer Letter and Scholarship, Multi-Family OSHC, BSC-MSc certificates and transcript, CoE, Statement of result from Macquarie University, Employment Letters, Study leave letter, Account statement, SOP, Marriage cert, Wifey and children Identity details, Medicals
Biometrics: 15th August 2019
Date of grant: 7th September 2019

I have been in australia for a while without family, applied for subsequent entrant and refused. Exactly one year later, having decided the PhD offer to take, I applied as student (PGR) and put my family as dependent. Lo and behold, the visa came in 26days. This can only be God, the speed is outrageous, madam has pilled her legs while praying and sowing heavy seeds with the allowie sent for her and the kids. My message is that. If you have family, do not be afraid to add them to your application.

The other part might be a bit bogus and dicey, these are my thoughts and would like to leave it open to the house to discuss. Due to recent upheaval in South africa, can we boycott that part where you are told to fill closest embassy and send to Australia straight up. I had overheard someone applying from Nigeria did it and no one raised an eyebrow. The bad belle with visa could be stemming from xenophobic influence, I would say. Who ready use matchette comot your head, na him nor go fit reject your visa for you and your family. If for any reason you are asked why you choose Australian embassy and not pretoria, REFER THEM TO XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS ON NIGERIANS. Hope I have not overstepped my boundaries with this one sha| We talk we die, we do not talk we die, let us talk and die

Please guys, I got a natural justice form from DIBP today stating that I should give reasons why my employment letter and reference letter are bogus. My boss's company is registered properly with CAC and also has his certificate intact, didn't know what resulted to that anyway. Please I need an advice on how to go about this guys. I am so confused at the moment.

You should have nothing to fear if you truly work there. Reply by telling them when you were employed, how long you have been there and who gave you the reference letter. Include your first offer letter when you were employed, few payslips, bank statement showing salary paid and tax certificate if you have it.

If you provide all these, you shouldn't have any problem.

Hello house, I graduated from the university of Port Harcourt in Dec,2014, studied Biochemistry and graduated with a CGPA of 3.33/5.0 scale. moving forward, I would love to do an MSC in Public Health and I've searched for schools offering it and discovered Macquarie university and UNISA.
THE QUESTIONS ARE
1 will MSC in Public Health lead me to acquisition of PR , because I checked the Australian immigration website, and didn't see it, only saw biochemistry on medium and Long term strategic skill list (MLTSSL)

2 I'm aware that both Macquarie and UNISA don't require IELTS from Nigerian students. Post admission, will they request for it during my visa application?

3 Will 9 million naira budgeted for it be enough for me for the 2-year MSC course? as I don't want to be stranded financially and I also understand I will work per time job and save up for other fees and personal upkeep.
pls kindly answer me my dear brothers and sisters as this is urgent. if you are applying to those aforementioned schools or have any reasonable suggestions/advise, thanks and God bless!

I think scholarship for international students are only for MSC (research) and PhD degrees. I was offered a PhD scholarship with tuition, stipend and OSHC.
I want to pursue my phd program in Cybersecurity.
Which school do you suggest I apply to and what are my chances of getting a pr after school

2. Ielts won't be required during visa application or process if you intend to go to schools that didn't ask for it.

3. 9 million is enough to take you to Australia.

Okay. You should contact more potential supervisors, hopefully one will reply you soon. I'll soon start contacting potential supervisors myself, I'm just waiting for my transcript.

Best of luck.

Good afternoon house, i am new here, i am an adult working class person(above 30yrs, over 4 years working experience in sales department), who graduated with a 3rd class in chemistry. I work in an IT firm and i intend getting a Bsc in IT, my aim is to specialise in cyber security or data science in western Sydney university. I have been reading the threads here for sometime and they are quite interesting.
*Pls what are my chances of switching over and getting a visa.
* For IT courses are there chances of getting a permanent residence permit after studies?
*what's the difference between Tafe schools and regular schools?
*what does AL1 mean?
Your answers will be appreciated, thank you.

Hello great gurus in the house.

Please I want to confirm.

Graduated with a cgpa of 3.48(a 2.2)equivalent to 5.0 here and I was told I can’t apply to AL1 schools e.g Macquarie University and University of south Assuie due to me not having a 2.1 here in Nigeria.

I am avoiding writing ielts

Please how true is it house, thank you.

Please, are any PhD program in aussie that lead to automatic PR in Australia? Thanks
bligs:

Unless your Bsc is on skillselect list otherwise change program because Project Management won't lead to PR other than two years post study work visa.

Nothing like automatic PR through education, you have to follow same process like others just that PhD may increase your points and chances in some cases.

you will get your visa provided you're able present a convincing statement of purpose (SOP), stating why you're switching course, the level of expertise and experience gained in the course you're switching to, what you will do studying that course as well as the benefit that course will bring to you and your home country. you will get PR but my advice for you is to apply for MSc in IT after graduation it increases your points. IT is highly south after and with good pay. TAFE schools are technical and Further education schools, they offer certificate and diploma programmes just like what they call colleges in Canada. AL1 schools are schools that have full support and back up by Australian immigration to manage the risk a foreign student will pose to the country so In other words, if you're admitted by one of the AL1 schools in Australia, immi.homeaffairs.gov.au knows that you've undergone proper scrutiny and cannot pose risk to the country I.e your mission is genuine or legitimate. more so, you wouldn't be asked to declare or tender your statement of account! Good luck!

Firstly, Your CGPA is very ok for Masters programme.
What qualifies you?
1. Close relationship of your previous studies to the proposed course (Masters)
2. Have you been working in your course of study?
3. Do you have the fund?
4. are you going for Masters Coursework or Research? If research it requires 1st Class or 2:1 with a previous good research project.
5. Universities in AL1 May or may not requires IELTS or any other eng test. However, if you wish to apply for any of the available conversion visa 189/190/491; you will still need the English test at a very high band say 7/8 equivalent in PTE or ielts. So, why not just do the English test now? I advise people to take PTE.
6. Your personal statement /Letter of Motivation must be well written or tailored to your chosen course of study with well outlined expected skills you would acquire at the end of the programme. Your personal statement must indicate that you are returning home after your studies even if that wouldn't be the case.
7. If your choice is for Master (Coursework) then, your 2:2 is good to go. But note most AL1 schools in Aussie are very expensive. You must be prepared to work and manage your studies altogether...
8. .....

Tuition fees of WSU seems cheaper than UTS. UTS will still refer you to an agent don t worry. You have only done first leg by submitting an online application @$AUD100. The next letter you will get is for you to appoint one of their agents in Nigeria to help you complete the remaining process.
Yes UTS is AL1 school, it's a small school and also new compare to WSU. You know what you stand to gain if you chose AL1? hence the choice is yours!!!
UTS average tuition fee can be as high as AUD$45k
and as low as AUD $35k

Danie08:
Hello house I need your advise here .
I just received a study offer at Western Sydney university (MSc project management).
My application to university of technology Sydney (MSc project management) is still in process .
My question here is will UTS be a better option cos it's an AL1 school while WSU is AL2.
Am asking this because my application to WUS was done by an agent while UTS accepts direct applications.
So the agent is already advising I accept the offer .

Senior School Certificate C6 or better in English

that is curtin university, must have the english result within 5 years of application to the uni.

You can as well google and check up with other unis yourself.

Haha you wrong , the value of uni degree is same in Aussie ; pedigree of school Doesn't guarantee you job , so many people even prefer studying nursing in TAFE and they'll still get good job ..
No matter where you are in Australia , you should find part time jobs so far you aren't in country places , and most people dont even like Sydney , I have been there and I no like am
