Tonight's tip before I go to bed.

Write out the characteristics you want in a man.
Who is your ideal man?
Which can you compromise on your list and which can you not compromise? List them out and mark them.
Weigh your options very well.
If what you so desire (including what you can compromise on) outweighs that which you cannot compromise on, then, make a decision.

Don't forget, it's your life and you're responsible for your happiness.
Whether to stay or leave.
Have a nice night dearies...

Me: Hello bae
Bae: Me?
Me: Yes, you. You swagalicious babe.

So today, I'm gonna tell you a story. It's about my friend. Let's call her Jay.
While we were still in school, according to Jay and our society, age wasn't on her side. She was apprehensive about getting married and making her parents proud (due to some reasons, she felt getting married will make them proud, which is true). However, Jay's suitors were either serious on having sex or just wanted a fling while they had their fiancees waiting for them.
Jay tried not to be desperate though. We, her friends also tried not to make her desperate.
One day, sexy got a call from a childhood friend from a far away land from us. The gist was, one uncle was interested in my friend Jay after seeing her pix on her phone.
Good news abi?
No o, Jay wasn't having it. Why? Uncle was still a student...

Sorry, duty calls. I have to run. I'll complete my story soonest. But don't forget, not all that glitters is gold. Shine your eyes..

#kitchentip

Instead of buying rice cooker, deep fryer, I'll say you first of all need a pressure cooker. I've put it on my list as one of the first things needed by a wife in the kitchen. Trust me, you wouldn't want to be cooking cow leg (bokoto) for 4hours (it has ever taking me this long shocked) or beans for 2hours. Abeg save your gas and get a pressure cooker wink

If you can't get a set of non stick pot. Maybe 1 frying pan will do. When you fry stuffs, it wouldn't get messy and stick to the bottom especially fish.

Goodnight from here.

No, not this night, our story continues tomorrow wink.

This should have been in the diary section but I want others to be able to contribute that's why it's here.. With time, we'll let go of our fears and talk out our minds grin grin

Talking about diary section. Shout out to my favorite diarylanders..
Zaynie
Screwface
Giddyperson
Byedew
Slaywife
Ganjababe
Liftedhands
Iomoge
Pwetiebabe

Can't recall all now, when I do, I'll update.
You guys rock. Keep shining.

I'll love to mention a few things about some of them.
Zaynie. That woman inspires me. She's a strong woman and guess what? I'm presently attending her online business training class. Hmmm, sincerely, I've learnt much more than I paid for. Before now, I didn't have any focus about what to do, trust me, I'm opening my store soon (don't worry, I'll let you know when I do, stay tuned o, lots of giveaways to be won. Especially to our new or to be brides). Ehen, as I was saying, I could remember the day she posted she'll be giving 50% discount on the class in MHC, ha, I stayed glued to my phone from 4pm, I later won it at past 6pm. This is to say thank you ma. I appreciate you.
Whether you're just starting your business or intending to, her class will be your go to place. Meanwhile, it's different from all those importation classes o, here, importation is just one of the sub topics of what you'll be taught and it's just 5k wink

Screwface. I love his diary because it's real. Gives alot of insights into real life situations.. You have a beautiful family. God bless your home sir.

Giddyperson. Hahahahaha. I love that woman. I don't know her o but I could remember the first day I read her diary.. I was literally laughing out loud. She's beautifully a case. God bless your home made.

Byedew.. I love her diary too. I used to have a glee on my face when she updates until she got busy and stopped updating. However, there's something that keeps me glued to her. She was my Oct. 2017 teammate (I was a silent follower then), although I lost that child after birth on the 28th of October, when I read the demise of your child, I literally shed a tear. May the good lord console you and bless your home. Happy bumping to you on this journey. Safe delivery ma'am.

Pweetiebabe was also my capo that year. Ma'am, we that are praying for you are much. May God bless your family and gladden your heart soon. Keep staying strong sis. We love you.

Slaywife/Ganjababe
I confuse both monikers but I admire them. They're strong women also. Much love from here.

Liftedhands. God bless all that concerns you ma'am. Your work, business, son. We're rooting for you. Keep staying strong..

Iomoge. I just like her too. Happy bumping...

I'll update as I remember more..
Next update will be on some nairalanders I've met.

1. Must be a registered nairalander before 1st Jan of this year.
2. Must be an intending or new bride.
3. Must have commented on this page earlier.
4. Since it's a business launching giveaway promo, must launch rayslounge_undies with a purchase even if it's as low as 1k.
5. Delivery is on you.

Items to be won include:
1.1 sexy nighwear/lingerie.
2. 3 beautiful anklets (not your regular #500 anklet).

Watch this space.
I'll post the pictures on the eve of our launching.

I'll announce the launching event day some days to the event.

There is nothing hard and fast about it. It depends on what each one feels about it. There are a lot of couples who married after falling in love during College. Now both of them are of the same age and it works out fine. I find a russian bride in Slovakia, we had the same

My frustrations in the kitchen..

While I was growing up, I thought I was a good cook and I'd make a good wife (at least in the kitchen). This thought did not just spring out from nowhere but from the fact that, I cook well, at my parents' and while I was still in school. Also, to the very least, no one has ever told me I couldn't cook well or my meals weren't tasty, instead, I get compliments (except for few times where my mum has to correct me on some little mistakes and give me tips on how to be better in it).

All these flew out from the window the very first time I wanted cooking for my husband. After the almost 2weeks honeymoon at my inlaws', I was finally going to cook for him after we moved to base.
Ha. Gbese. You need to see "yours sincerely good cook" being tensed with shaky hands on top Semo. Semo that I've turned seamlessly countless times. Hmmm, to the answered prayers of my dear momma that I wouldn't put her to shame of not bringing up a homely girl (wife material 1000 yards), Ose, our Semo came out well. Adupe o.

Luckily, I was able to get past the stage and cook seamlessly for us and we moved on.

Not until one day, I had an argument with my husband due to some misunderstandings, I was busy ranting on how he does this and that n I didn't like.. Lo n behold.. Dear hubby said..
"Sebi you don't like this, you don't like that, do you know what you do that I don't like? Your food. Your cooking. I enjoyed my food better before I married you"

Mogbe. I became humbled I swear. I couldn't continue all I was saying. I kept mute. If I had 10-0 before, now it is 10-100. He got me bajebaje. Like, I couldn't sleep well because I was thinking about what he said. What I couldn't fathom was the fact that, was he being real? Sebi he was still licking plate few days ago, he still complimented my fried rice just few days to that event (he was quick to put in during the fight that, he was just pretending few days ago o) or was he trying to get at me with anything too? Or better still, was it just a tiny little bit of truth? Seriously, I didn't know.
That night, I promised I wouldn't give him food for 3days. Hmmm, I couldn't go through with this sha. But I was busy thinking of my life. Like every good wife, I tried to forget it and moved on. To be true with you sha, I think I said more hurtful things that night.

I moved on. I tried to improve on my cooking skills. He's actually a very cool headed guy, he still eats and compliments but never apologized for the previous time, I didn't apologize too so it was fine. I used to feel happy and content when he eats and smiles. For my mind, this is a pass mark. We moved on.

Until one day, I cook, plenty salt.
The next day, tasteless.
Another day, no salt.
The too much salt episodes were more sha.
Ha, abi, those people have started following me ni? Egbami.
My dear husband never complained amidst all these though. The episodes weren't recurrent simultaneously, it happens...

....Like twice in a week or so. But anytime it happens, I feel sad and dejected, almost would'nt be able to eat. The next day, I usually dash the food out not minding if it was much or not. During this time, I seriously wanted opening a diary to vent out my frustrations but I didn't know if I'll be consistent, so I brushed it off.

There was a day I wanted to cook a badass beans porridge, with all the orishirishi, fish, plantain, crayfish, everything, everything. The beans still didn't come out well, Hmmm. It wasn't funny Aswear.

So one day, I told a friend about it. She told me she's been through it too and her hubby sat her down to ask what was disturbing her, that she needed to calm down. She gave me some tips too. E. G
When cooking with meat stock, don't add salt, put everything, then I taste to adjust the salt later.
When cooking with locust beans, I should be careful with salt too.
Some other few tips I can't recall now.
It became better.
I realized I was tensed trying to impress him so I easily made mistakes.
I talked to him about it. Told him I didn't forget what he said to me sometimes ago and it was affecting my cooking. He apologized.
My dear, I'm over it for a while now.
I slay in the kitchen now and I'm proud. Don't worry, I'll share some pix with you some other time.

Just thought to share, it might help someone out there.
Live. Laugh. Love.

Hi!

Nice thread you've got going grin

Thanks for checking in.

I kept things going until earlier this year when he gained admission and had to leave. He persisted on going through with the marriage before leaving, I panicked, declined, and cut the whole thing off.

We still stay in contact though - even if we didn't work out, he is still a friend. When we speak he sometimes say if it was meant to be we'd always find a way back to each other. I think not.

Eeerrrmmm. On second thoughts..

Tips on how to get a glowing skin for the big day..
One thing that has worked for me is *warm water therapy*. It gave me a glowing skin that got people asking what cream I am using.
Proper way to do it..
Take a cup of warm water first thing in the morning before brushing. Do not eat anything afterwards for at least 30-45mins..
The best way to have your skin glow is by cleaning up your diet. More fruits/ veggies / water.
It works better and faster than creams.
You can dedicate a month for it and have your body thank you for a general improved health.

These are the prices of the goods.
The bras are wireless and of very good qualities. I can give a 4-5 years guaranty. No strings, no pinching by pocking underwire, pushes up and it's still beautiful.
