You mofos have a liberal piss poor use of the word "Lots". Yes, BokoHarem are nothing but overblown Bandits. They crawl around like roaches looking for food in a single damn forest, in a single damn state at the age of the Sahara Desert. 99% of Nigerians have never experienced Bokoharem. Nigeria has decimated terrorists at a cheaper price more than any African country or even the "World Powers have reduced ISIS, Taliban, Al Qaeda etc....
una dey always make me laugh grin

Which terrorists have Nigeria decimated? Is it MEND, bandits, boko haram, ipob, or boko haram?

For now, I remember those days people here dey always talk of the Nigerian army having the advantage during the dry season... When is the dry season starting In borno sef huh

Buratai,CDF, minister of defence and PMB are all clueless especially buhari. I'm so sure Buratai that is planing on having more house I. Dubai is telling pmb that Nigeria is wining the way against boko haram

Someone even said the Nigerian military(that is struggling against ragtag groups on is territory will defeat Republic of Benin in less than a month grin

Do you know what it is to defeat a country huh

Dem dey think say fighting nah like eating bread and beans grin. If no be ragtag groups like boko haram, Fulani herdsmen and bandits wey dey open the Nigerian military yansh, some Nigerians will sit down in there house eating amala and ewedu or apku with vegetables or eating tuwo shinkafi and start boasting that Nigeria will conquer the whole west Africa within one month grin.

For boko haram to even exist in Nigeria without the DSS and military intelligence department stopping them from existing at all sef, is a failure on there part.

Nigeria can not defeat Benin republic because I don't see Benin republic attacking Nigeria and I don't see Nigeria attacking Benin republic grin

No contest Benin would be swallowed up in one sitting like Jollof Rice.... grin

You should think bro, what's the number of troops they have in Benin? To think Nigeria can't defeat benin is idiotic, besides, I'm not the one who brought up Benin, someone else did, how about you research what Benin have in its arsenal before talking rubbish
Benin with less than 5,000 troops, 2 patrol boats with zero airforce, are you high? My state ( Ondo State) probably more troops stationed there than all of Benin.
Even BH can defeat Benin, and i mean take over their seat of power grin

BREAKING NEWS, I just heard the ECOWAS has pleaged $1bn to fight terroristism, I find it funny though considering the G-5 is officially ended.... spectacular failure!....I'm so though I haven't got the link to the piece yet, considering it's just breaking news.... I'm looking forward to seeing well, who's going to fund it...and what shape the next security architecture would be shaped... it's also good we go cameroun and Chad more involved this time, considering it's going to encompass both the Sahel States and countries on the lower end

Read the news too, though I wonder how the pledge will be funded. Which countries are funding it?, Through what framework will the funds be channeled in combating the rising spate of Islamic terrorism?, Is it by funding the MNJTF and G-5 Sahel Taskforce or will another military coalition be created?.

The Presidents of Chad and Mauritania(both countries not part of ECOWAS) were present at the meeting

Hopefully, this is not just mere talk.

It will be funded mostly if not entirely by Nigeria like everything in ECOWAS is. France might throw a couple bucks in....

Mauritania and Chad are historically and culturally West African.

All these Special Forces sef...all they do is carry big guns and wear dark shades. Look at that one with pot belly, what kind of SF is that?. Seems they just select tall muscular people, send them to an obscure country for a few months for training and then christen them "special forces".

No mind them lol, special forces wey no get dedicated assets when needed, they basically use same tools are regular soldiers, might be wrong, but i expect SF units to be more sophisticated than regular troops, in terms of gear and dedicated assets that is

I don't really like military/uniform men with pop belly but it doesn't really matter man ! You might not have pop belly and yet you're not physically fit.
The dude with the pop belly are part of NPF personal that where trained together with other military guys in Belarus, He as endured, passed through and qualified for the training together with his counterparts in North East Europe. He has served in the North East front line for good 3years together with is military counterparts.
I have posted some of his pictures way back during his North East tour, these guy is battle field tested and certified, it takes more than masculine fitness to be a SOF/SF. It's more of your mental strength and intelligence, perseverance and marksmanship, the body structure either shot or tall, chubby or masculine is never a major yard stick in selecting men for SOF/SF.

Special Forces in fellow "third world" countries such as Pakistan, undergo years of rigorous training in various simulated environments. I am not even going to talk about the US or UK where dedicated SFs are usually the best of the best, sometimes, they can be so good and specialized that they get called out of retirement, but let me not compare Nigeria with the US.

Let's compare with Pakistan or even Egypt, where SFs are trained for years, and even the state secret service or presidential guard will only pick operatives from the best SFs and then retrain them for another number of years under highly simulated conditions. They are armed with specialized weapons and dedicated assets for operations.

In Nigeria, we send a bunch of burly barrel-chested(some of them pot bellied) men to "almighty" Czech, Ukraine, Serbia (or if we are generous enough, Pakistan) to train for 6 months. They jog around and draw lines in the sand for the first three months, do target practice for the next three months, then pose and snap pictures in dark shades and black leather uniforms, and come back home to be christened "special forces".

What will it take to budget proper funds for a dedicated and highly specialized infantry unit, train them for three years in different terrains under different conditions, and arm them with the best weapons and armour depending on their operations?.

If that man actually went through rigorous SF training, he won't have pot belly. I am not disputing their patriotism or priceless service to the nation, but calling them "Special Forces" is a joke taken too far. Of the many qualities needed in a SF operative, agility is one very important attribute. Medically, someone who is chubby is at a disadvantage when it comes to combat setting, aside from shortness of breath, being prone to stroke or heart failure, difficulty in healing wounds, and slowness, the size of his belly indicates that something is wrong with his diet.

If body structure or BMI is not important in selecting SF for combat roles in Nigeria, then something is seriously wrong somewhere.

Lol. True. The rate we are going even the boy scouts and market women will have their own special forces wink
Sincerely though, I've never seen a special forces member anywhere in the world with pot belly. I guess Nigeria is an exception. So far as I know, special forces are supposed to be lean and mean and able to piss vinegar.

Bidexii, I noticed that scope on the AK at the far right. The guy added it himself or what? I've been to AliExpress and there are quite a lot of rifle scopes there. Most are really cheap. Perhaps our guys can buy theirs there and enhance the accuracy of their shots.

I have seen pictures of SF/SOF from Western or European militaries, it's nothing new.
Bad news you can't import such accessories it's forbidden by law, the only military stuff I know our guys buy online or on Alibaba is go-pro cameras, military sun-glasses etc.. you can't ship in riffle accessories into Nigeria , try click on such items, an info will be displayed that cannot be shipped into the country.

SF/SOF Always armed with wooden Ak, no scopes, no personnel radios etc............
The earlier we do away with our old style generals in decision making, sometimes I do wonder don't they see other militaries, and most of them are well travelled and they see how things are being done with other militaries. undecided

So having pot belly means you haven't undergone rigorous training; that's your take and opinion.
A well built body structure is only an advantage, have seen a lot guys with well built body fallen out of the training, not able to go on.

Please just do me a favour, if you have an instagram account just try add some military SOF page. I can bet with you before you scroll through every 20-30 pictures you will see SF with pop belly.

I wonder too. Left to me the AK 47 will be phased out of the military. They can gift it to the police and start using the Baretta ARX 160. That is one sexy rifle and the best part is that it uses AK 47 magazines and ammo. I am actually surprised at what you are saying though, cos I thought a guy like you will never criticize the army staff wink
I am just tired of this war, it is getting worse and worse and might soon consume the entire country. It needs to be won today, not tomorrow.

Ah come on, if I put you through rigorous training in my backyard, even your in-laws will not recognize you after 1 monthwink The training these special forces guys go through takes many months and even years, even if they eat like pigs there is no way they won't get thin and highly muscled.

I have always critize the military, especially the army. But mind you there are constructive criticism and the negative ones. The way some people critize the NA on this thread sometimes they think COIN operations his true and easy like the western movies they watch.
With all Russian might in the 80's they ran and packed there load out of Afghanistan, the Americans and there Allies are doing more arm than good in the middle east countries. Iraq, Afghan, Lydia and part of Syria has been a disaster after invading them. One should ask critical and sensible question like; does the world strongest military is not capable of finishing ISIS, taliban.
Remove corruption and embezzlement meant for funding the military we would not be where we found our selves today and am not saying it's not happening till now.

The problem with Boko Haram , Isis, Al-Queda and the rest is that they are an ideology backed by a military arm. You can defeat them on the battlefield, but if the conditions that gave rise to them are not addressed there can be no real victory. Isis for example is gathering strength in Syria and Iraq and could soon replicate their earlier feats. The Taliban controls more than 50% of Afghanistan and could easily conquer the rest of it if the Americans pull out. And that is why I wish this war to be over fast, cos the longer it goes on the bigger is the risk that it will affect every inch of Nigeria and even West Africa. The longer it goes on the more the North East will be seeded with mines and IED. The longer it goes on the more will be the generation that knows nothing but war and strife.
I have previously criticized the Nigerian military here, but that is because I want the best for them and want them to be the best they can be, instead of being busy shaving the heads of civilians at bus stops. To tell you the truth, our military condition is pitiful. Our neighbors know this and are currently acting like we are nothing. That is beyond shameful.

It's beautiful o. I love guns with scopes. But making it here might be problematic. I hear that some of the OBJ 006 AK 47 rifles are so iffy that the barrels bend on automatic fire and have to be bent back with pliers embarassed Best we just import loads of the AK variant shown above. But what of the Tavor, the Beryl and others? Why can't we just pick a standard infantry rifle and stick to it? cry

My Oga, the presence of pot bellies in those guys bears the hallmark of men addicted to beer and pepper soup.

I will accept your argument if you can provide the picture of an American or even Pakistani SF operatives with pot belly.

Naturally, rigorous training is supposed to eliminate such belly fat and tone the abdominal muscles, allowing for greater agility. I am not disputing the fact that there are SF or Intelligence Operatives allowed to carry heavy male pregnancies as long as they don't directly involve in combat duties. However,to be an SF/SOF combatant, agility and mobility is required, which having pot belly impedes.

So really, there is nothing special about those guys, they are simply like every other regular soldier giving their best in the North East.

Boss, i have to disagree on the bolded. Physical fitness is not only important but highly critical for the rigorous military activities.

A serious minded service takes being fit as paramount. I wont lie to you, you'll find it difficult to see a front line trooper in such state in another country (except maybe Saudi Arabia).

Even desk pushers are forced into a rigorous training regime in order to be Physical fit because usually, there is A weight restriction for troopers.

For A SF trooper to be in such state says alot about TRADOC.

Speaking about Saudi Arabia, goodnews for Nigeria, opening oil prices tomorrow is bound to skyrocket. Recent Houthi drone attacks on two Aramco oil installations has halved production of Saudi Arabia oil to around 5 million b/d, as against the previous 11 million b/d. cool

At least for the next few months, oil prices could get as high as $80/barrel, thanks to *coughs* Iran *coughs* Houthi rebels grin grin

It appears that if BH/ISWAP were to invade Saudi, it would have taken over Riyadh by now. grin grin cheesy

Please don't compare Nigerian SFs with Saudi counterparts, it's a grave insult to our men. angry
