Unless your pp is fully verified (proof of address and ID) and you have linked verified bank accounts, pp can still play with your money. There are limitations no one knows about until you try to make a withdrawal. Then you get that dreaded "something went wrong..." screen. My advice will be to limit your inflow to as few sources as possible and only make withdrawal to the same card if you don't have a bank account linked to the pp account. Secondly, keep daily withdrawals below $500. Never leave your account empty (always have at least $2) left after withdrawals and if you are operating a merchant account, limit pp to pp transactions. Don't withdraw funds immediately it hits your account

I'm a victim of some these O.

That's why there are no calls on queue. There's an avalanche of new entrants who just cheated their way in to make easy money grin Moments like this I can understand why Transcribeme and the other platforms make passing their test a really hard thing to achieve.
I have an unrated call that's 11 days old right now, which is unprecedented.
She basically said they're overwhelmed with transcripts, a lot of which is actually poor and stressing out the Qas.
Are you on Transcribeme? How is the platform? I'm trying to see if I can join them.

No need for the bolded..

The address can be changed, I think. So that should not be an issue. But have u been able to withdraw with the Lesotho address or you've not tried withdrawing b4?

Too much competition and everyone would end up with $4 a week. Well, I'm already setting up a gig on Fiverr, it's tough but I'll take the deep and let Qa slide if if works .
At least I learnt.

Don't tell me u want to leave QA totally because of the fear of competition from some guys that watched a YouTube video about QA...

Wot happened to "we die here"?

I'm beginning to think the lack of calls is because of the poorly submitted transcripts. I 'm starting to feel they are reluctant to always fill the queue with calls because of the rate at which poor transcripts are submitted (my own theory).

I think if you go with utility bill like NEPA bill, they won't do address verification.
I went there with it, they still did the verification.

It can I will correct that, Thank you very much. Others on this thread have been helping without a condescending tone. I am a freelancer and a particular opportunity came along that requires I have a PayPal account. Seeing that thread is helpful in doing that I have been asking questions. I used info from a website to open the Lesotho acc though I haven't received funds from it, the site suggested the following:-

-Open a personal account
- Use a Lesotho fake No
- Use a Lesotho address

all this might be issues if PayPal limits the account and requests additional information. I don't want to collect the wrong africard.
That's what I am trying to correct here. I don't want to have to deactivate the acc and open a new one.

I hope that has clarified everything. I really appreciate the info on this and all your contributions.

Well, If you're yet to receive cash, I'll advise you to open a new account. It won't take you 30 minutes after going through the PDF on page 1 Or 2, I guess. Do that and come back with other questions. But if you think it's not worth it, it's your choice. I edited my own address i.e my house address. I used 51 xyz street instead of 50 xyz street. So you see that the mistake is a minor one, right?
So, imagine changing the whole address and when you want to withdraw someday and PP now flag your account and request for a Lesotho ID card or any document showing you're a citizen and not someone who hacked the account. Think about it. Your choice Sha

I doubt that. I think they recruited in-house transcribers because people were avoiding FC calls.
Also, calls get uploaded on the very day or next they're recorded, if you have noticed they're almost always recent except when there's a call that gets passed over due to perceived difficulty.

I get that. But even as at a month ago, calls were always on queue. Even if the number of transcribers on the platform doubled or tripled, the calls would not have reduced the way it did.

These days, the only time the queue is full is when calls are just uploaded.

There is definitely something going on that we are not aware of.

I agree. SCC already hinted the flooding of the platform with transcribers that turn in low quality work. I have noticed something. Every time we get that error 504 or 404 or something, after that, we get a major update. The queue reduced after the last major service outage. I think the top transcribers are seeing a different call queue. When they have their pick, the rest then gets passed down to the rest of the world. Just like newbies only get to see those 2-minute calls. They have no issues with the newcomers. They already have their problems solved if the weekly leaderboard is anything to go by.

There's sense in this. I've been seeing long calls on my dashboard since last week. I have no opinion that to pick them. There was a day I did 36 minutes call as well as 21 minutes. Same day. Whatever they want to do, they should ensure that they rate the calls instead of carrying them over to next week. I'm still having a 29 minute call since Sept 3rd. cry
