EBERE Eze believes that QPR showed exactly what they are capable of during the first half an hour of Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Luton Town in the Sky Bet Championship.

The R’s raced out of the block at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium and grabbed the lead after just three minutes when Eze fired home from outside the box.

A Nahki Wells double made it 3-0 before the 30-minute mark and in that time Eze also rattled the Hatters’ crossbar on two occasions.

In the end, Rangers saw off a Luton fight-back to run out 3-2 victors and afterwards Eze spoke about their scintillating start to the match.

He told www.qpr.co.uk: “It was really enjoyable. When we move the ball like that, it is very difficult to keep up with us, with the quality we possess going forward.

“We should’ve taken more of our chances - and that includes me - but we have got the three points and that is the main thing.

“We are playing a whole new style of football, which suits the type of players we have in the squad. We have got a lot of ball-playing players. Our style gets people like me and Ilias [Chair] on the ball and allows us to do stuff and create, which is what we want to be doing.”

He added: “The second half was difficult but we dug deep and you will have periods like that where you have to work hard and do what you have to do. It makes the final whistle so much more enjoyable!”

Eze’s goal was his third of the season and he was delighted to get himself on the scoresheet again.

He said: “It came to me in a good position and the main option I had was to shoot. It’s gone in – I thank God for that – and it got us off to a good start.

“We got the other two goals and from there we may have got a bit complacent at times. We kept going and it has worked out for us.”

Next up for the R’s is a trip to Millwall on Saturday and Eze is looking forward to returning to the club where he completed his academy scholarship.

He said: “For me, it’s just another game. I want to go there and do what I can to help us win and make us come back with three points.”

Enyimba is as good as out.. They could not win at home against 10 men. Going to Sudan will be very hard. The sudanese league is much better than NPFL.

Arsenal fans that were slagging Iwobi are now saying iwobi is better than pepe.

Hahahahahaha.
Liverpool knew that that pepe guy was overpriced and dodged a bullet.

I said it before. I wouldn't buy pepe for more than $35million

Pepe is not worth his transfer fees and everyone know this, i posted a funny meme when he was signed, saying i was waiting for him to flop

But me i will not judge him after 5 games just as the useless EPL media is already trying to do but they wont do that to their overrated british players

But if him flop i go happy because arsenal fans dont believe in iwobi, even some super eagles fans here always speak bad about iwobi and to make it worst some of them are also arsenal

Me am just observing for now

true. there are nigerian players playing in it. if I'm not mistaking, a guy told me that the top scorer last season is a Nigerian. the Nigerians players are seen as Brazilians.

Nigerian ministers are like other politicians..once elected, they try to look like they are serious about their jobs. then they go AWOL...
Let's hope this one keep his promise. .
The Lagos national stadium needs urgent attention too... The Abuja stadium should have been privatized after the African games in 2003 as suggested by Amos Adamu back then ...it would have saved the government a lot of money and embarrassment..
Honestly I dunno why maintenance culture is something Nigeria still doesn't know how to get right!!
