For academic purpose ni, you should first finish primary school as evidently u continue to show proof u're just a kid excited with data daddy paid for.

Listen here someone older should tell u that in the old days Nigeria had actually nationalized European assets because of this same South Africa for which in my time money was deducted from our pay to finance the ANC that today spits in our face but apparently u never heard of BP but how can u when you were just born yesterday. Shut ur trap kid. You shouldn't be talking when I'm talking. And what were the consequences. And why would any sane person not to talk of even a secondary school kid who did O'level Commerce want to strangle a profitable company on it's own soil which is not abroad to death when it can easily do a takeover for the benefit of it's own citizens. Haba this kid. Everything postulated up there is an hypothetical option to unfolding events in the Rainbow nation that will never change unless a serious leader here does something to make them see the light.

Even a serious simple threat of nationalization without having to do it will make Pretoria wake up and yes Nigeria has more than enough forces to fight two large conventional wars at once. Right now predominantly the 7th division and auxiliary armoured elements are engaged in the North-East in a theater scale of combat operations. The 1st mechanized division hasn't even been called into the fray nor the 82nd Combined Arms Divisions etc. That's just speaking of the Army. The internal threats we have faced and still face but contained would have swallowed any other African country other than Nigeria. Just because your Buhari is inept doesn't change the dynamic of Nigeria's greatness. You have no clue of the military nor the economy that goes with it so just zip it and learn from those who know it. In this case Naija holds the cards.

Dey run from my mention cos I'll school u to sense.

My goodness! You're serious on the Eswatini expedition!? Idk what to say operationally, logistically etc, etc.
I just..

In a serious armed conflict , if 1000 combat troops r involved then another 3000 personnel's r needed to support it .

That is for every 1 combat trooper 3 more support elements r needed so the the combat efficiency of the combat trooper is at its maximum. Support elements means the logistics , signals , field command , supply lines , Intel etc

Many conflicts past and present have turned out as stalemate or worse becz of the inadequacies of the support elements leading to drop in combat efficiency of the soldiers who r involved in direct combat.

bro this isn't some sort of debate, I was simply asking for a source since I'm curious at which facility and what upgrades are being done.

But judging from your response I guess you don't have any sources.

The CSIR and Paramount Group have officially created the hardest APC in the industry. The Mbombe 4 exceeded the NATO STANAG 3569 protection level (which is the highest for a wheeled APC)

I really hope the upgrade holds up considering it's shockingly poor performance in Libya with a normal anti tank shaped charge doing this much damage.

The cabin was not fully penetrated though. The vehicle was in perfect drivable condition when it was abandoned.

The Libyans literally have no fighting doctrine. This is a wheeled IFV not a tank so when you take this vehicle to war you should always keep it in mind. Upon arriving in the battlefield or suspended area of possible conflict, fighters should disembark and form an advancing line of defense on both sides of the vehicle, the vehicle in turn provides them with HMG cover. It is duty of the foot soldiers to protect their vehicles from ambushes or enveloping flanks. However, the Libyan fighters never bothered with any of the above and it was hit at close range.

The duty of an IFV/APC is to act as force multiplier not a bulldozing tank.

NB: the vehicle held well considering the projectile it was hit with.

Is it possible to briefly explain what was supposed to happen, perhaps with a pic from a similar case?

Yep, it's meant to take troops close to the battle and defend itself, not take 23mm rounds.

This old image shows how foot infantry should behave around their IFV/APCs. Get out of the vehicle, advance by foot and sweep the area.

yes!!! The Leds 150 is already integrated on the MOWAG Piranha.

And Denel is currently developing a new close in protection system:

"Denel Dynamics has achieved another milestone in the development of its technology demonstrator missile – the Mongoose 3 – part of the close area protection system (CAPS) project funded jointly by Armscor and the Department of Defence (DoD)."
