series u mean? Cos the show relied too much on using krypt0nite as a plot device t0o many times. And t0o many love triangles. Smallville was good but saying the pinnacle for cb films?
Which comic book TV series was on the level of smallville back then undecided

the questi0n is, which CB tv series ran parallel to Smallville back then? Listen, smallville was a g0od show, had its bad m0ments but i c0rrected thekingishere n0ti0n of it being the "pinnacle of CB movies". Yea, the idea for arrow came as a result of smallville and the pace it set for introducing other dc elements. But it being a pinnacle of c0micb0ok m0vies? C0me on, it was g0od as a series bk then but can't be measured with CB movies that existd bk then.

He said back then...back then bro, even though so many of the graphics would be archaic if you compare it to now but the story and acting is still 100% better than many CB series right now undecided

So I watched Pennyworth and it was great.

Pennyworth got his revenge, finally!! But still, it wasn't enough to fill the void in his heart.

Some questions though.

Why, was the other lady willing to risk her life to have revenge for pennyworth's girlfriend?

I thought she was the one that held her captive in episode 2 or am I missing somethinghuh

Also, why is no one bothered about the devil in England? I expected Thomas Wayne to say something to the CIA about it. Although they might not believe him

bro, the storyline of the 1st six seas0ns wouldn't have measured to anything d0ne presently. What am saying is The series relied too much on c0nvenient plot devices throughout its 1st 6 seas0ns. We kept seeing show h0rned elements such as meteor freaks, krypt0nite being in every epis0de, they never justified Lex's hatred for Clark and they just made him outrightly the bad guy. The meteor freak plot device worked well in seas0n 1 0nly for the writerz to keep forcing it in at every seas0n. Then came the all t0o c0nvenient storyline of Lana Lang's grand aunt who was a witch. C0me on? Then cave drawings by a certain tribe predicting the c0ming of Kal El and his battle with Naman. Mhen, those st0rylines were all t0o c0nvenient. You couldn't go abt an epis0de without watching Kent falling becos of krypt0nite. They couldn't c0me up with reas0nable ways for villains to beat Clark without using krypt0nite. There were epis0des that made sense but the writerz played to save with the show at the early stage. Would u c0mpare smallville's storyline with that of Kyle xy? The series had a structured story with a linear plot that followed. Smallville though picked up in seas0n 6 when they decided to delve deeper into dc lore.

lmfao, u just want s0me0ne dat will be agreeing to everytin u say. No way. I would make it hard for u lol. On a serious n0te, smallville was g0od, had its m0ments but then failed in s0 many ways that had it been introduced today, it wouldn't live up to the hype of bk then. N0t cos of the cgi or acting; they were perfect, but cos of its t0o many plot c0nveniences fr0m its incepti0n. Like, the series made Lex the bad guy fr0m the way they made the characterz treat him even b4 he was a bad guy. They never gave us Lex's perspective or why he was all t0o attracted to Kent. Story c0nvenience: the bad guy is the bad guy becos he is the bad guy.

actually, he said "m0vies and tv series" n0t 'm0vies'. So he differentiated both c0ncepts hence my qualms. Rating smallville as a pinnacle of cb m0vies create a false impressi0n that it kickstartd cb films or created a path for which cb films n0w follow.

I think Esme charmed the lady, she was pained that Esme was killed before she had the chance to make Esme her actual friend.
Thomas wayne like Martha is still pretty shaken up with his encounter, and he just wants to act like it never happened, But actually there is nothing to say, "hey, i had an encounter with the devil" no one will believe that.

1st of, u ask what the meaning 'pinnacle' is, then u ask; 'in what aspect?'; the pinnacle of the early cbm era or the m0dern cbm era? By that time frame, i'd say the pinnacle of c0mic b0ok m0vies is x men. It was the film that ushered an era where CBMs are allowed to feature real world themes and place them into superhero ficti0n. Hence, we started seeing alot m0re of CB characterz being taken seriously. As for Smallville, its greatest achievement was inspiring the arrowverse. It had no influence on c0mic bo0k m0vies but it did influence s0me tv series like the arrowverse and again, inspired the pr0ducerz of Merlin to produce a show abt the mythical arthurian legend.

spiderman came right after x men na. And which CB m0vie started tackling the c0ncept of matured issues CB Movies prior to its release were afraid of addressing? Guy, x men orchestrated the m0ve. It to0k on serious issues and started a line where CBMs aren't just seen as jokes or just heroes in spandex. It talked abt politics and real world issues. B4 X Men which CB film could do that? X men mind u was released in 2000. Spiderman came out 2 yearz after.
