It's cheaper in Nigeria.

You risk spending 4million plus on German soil for that year you start first first minus the fees you'll pay each programme per 3months.

A1 A2 B1 B2 C1

In that order. Roughly 1yr 3months.

All this assuming the guys at the embassy in lag don't deny you a chance and point you in the directiin of goethe grin

It’s quite surprising innit .
In my city, I had to pay 226 euros to learn for one month (that was the cheapest learning centre oo. The highest was 740 euros a month) By the second month, I advised myself. Unless you have the patience to learn it within your university (where one module - for eg A1 or B1 lasts for four months), then that’s another route.

Hello...

I saw your PM, and i have replied.

Learn to C1 in Nigeria first. It's far cheaper apart from the living expenses (BA) language Schools in Germany are very expensive.

Pay the money oooo, once you enrol in a school you're a student, you can resume any time even up till January. The embassy will still give dates.

There is no short cut to getting a masters with a 3rd grade than for you to go do PGD get a good grade and you are good to go. If you keep searching for such in Germany I doubt if you will get. I had tried on many occasions I wasn't given admission not until I applied for another Bachelor

Hello good people of this thread.

Please I need recommendations. Are there free Universities in Germany that accept third class graduates for masters or they all have this hard cut-off of 2.5 - 2.7 German grade? Been on google for the past 2 days, but nothing encouraging has been coming out of it. If it's impossible to get masters with a third class, what other options do I have, apart from doing another bachelors?

Please respond to this, I'm quite on the edge already....

Even here in Nigeria you can't do Masters with 3rd class, you have to go do PGD. Therefore don't expect it to be easy in Germany.
Not saying its not possible but keep searching. But if you don't find and you're really interested in Germany, then jejely just do another Bsc.

Hello good friends.
Please who just recently notarized his/her school documents here? Is it compulsory for documents to be notarized by German Embassy or will High Court notarization be sufficient for pursuing admission?

Thanks

Either of the two is sufficient but this depend on your intended German university. Some accept High court "Certified True Copy" while some accept German Embassy notarized copy. You will need to ascertain the required notarization on your intended university's website.

Cheers!

@flouxpar write up is a lovely one and it's also a pointer to what am saying that you don't need to pay or take another interview once U have done that and you can't meet up either because of deadline or funding all you need is another AL from your school with the current semester and that's all
One love guys

Me am also pained with this Health insurance stuff.
Paying over 100 euros a month for something I don't use is very big o
That's about 40k every month, 500k yearly
1.5mil in 3 years
This is high as well and I don't fall sick.
Thinking of going to their office and pay them their travel insurance and apply for termination or possible exemption.
Only that the private too gets pricey with time kwa, so u can't hide from it for long

The 4million per year will cover for that nah lol

Today makes it exactly one week since I left for Germany. I am here to share some things I wish I knew before I came.

1) Learn the Language: it will help you in your every day waka, most especially for those already working in Nigeria. I heard of someone working with an insurance company in Nigeria that got to Germany, googled insurance company around and was able to get a PROFESSIONAL job(Language was still a barrier but he was lucky)

2) Don’t bother bringing rice, oil, salt. All these things are very cheap here

3) please bring earpiece, extra charger and the likes (Electronic goods) seem to be expensive over here.

4)to be very honest, Most (not all) of the Jacket you will get in Nigeria cannot do anything against the cold. I would advise you save the money and come buy one or 2 over here.

5) If you have laptops, bring it.

6) I don’t know about the big cities but I am in a small town (Göttingen) and bicycle is the way of life here. People cycle EVERYWHERE. Learn how to ride a bicycle.

7) if you have time, learn driving and German. These things are really expensive to learn here. I’m talking over a thousand Euros.

cool In class, I also noticed that the Nigerian students (myself included) find it difficult to speak out while the whites are free with the lecturers. Please start practicing in the mirror and try to speak out in class.

Fun fact: The other day I used one Euro coin to buy something and the cashier gave me my change, I cried a little.

Overall, please be a good ambassador of Nigeria wherever you are and learn to highlight the positive part of Nigeria. God bless us, God bless Nigeria and God bless Germany.

Thanks for the info. I am deferring till summer. I will be coming to Göttingen...

Most times, the lecture materials are complex, and the Nigerian students are overwhelmed. I don’t even think it’s shyness.
