He told the Daily Mail, "I'm a citizen of all three [countries] so we'll see. I was born in Canada and lived there about seven or eight months old. My family is Nigerian, obviously I live in England. It's nice to have that. I can't play Under-21 football anymore so the last international break I didn't get called up to anyone. Next one maybe we'll see."
~ Tomori Fikayo

I think Rohr and the NFF are not serious about getting this LAD at all.
we definitely have folks in the NFF who know about football other than to loot and keep looting

This is the result of not inviting your best players. Imama did it with the under 23 but got away with it. How come there are no Kano Pillars or Rangers players even though they were among the top teams in the super 6?

The selection was not on merit and this is the result.

You always have a complaint to make. If we bring Rabiu Ali una go complain and now you are asking for pillars players when you already bashed their poor result on the continent. These players are some of the best in the league.

Hmmm
The goalkeeper has been pound for pound the best in the league for a long time. The back 4 is young but tested. My only issue was the midfield but when you have Sikiru Alimi, Mfon Udoh and Sanusi Ibrahim leading the line my brother that is fire power. On paper it was a very strong team sha

See this was why I didn't want him to take this job. This result was too scandalous. I think there is something wrong with the way he sets up his team away from home. The forwards did their job and got an away goal but conceding 4 goals with the defense we have is ridiculous.

It's funny after Rohr been in charge for how long and by now we still expect him carry out a lot of invites of new players. Tomori, Ejaria, Eze....How many players can we field at a time. It's just one friendly and there is limited time to impress. Expect Rohr to stick to the tried and tested. Their time will come.

Yes nah, whats there to be scared about

Look at diego costa that later refusing playing for brazil due to they dont normally call him up, i can tell you if costa had played for brazil he would have gotten more appearance than the spanish team , is it the same brazil that was taking Jo and co to the 2014 world cup they hosted

As good as firminho and jesus might be none of them are better striker than costa

Yeah!

But, I wouldn't give same advise to Tomori.

then what is stopping him from replicating same with the super eagles and under 23 team?

if we are to apply this metrics it means we can as well make case for Keshi...

the bane of indigenous coaches lies not in their tactical acumen but fraud and biased team selection.....
they just can't change even should you pay them $1M monthly....
its like that's their lives depend on it...

I remember when the CHAN team list was released.... Basco was jumping all over claiming it to be the best he has seen so far and I am afraid if this is the best NPFL can offer plus the clueless coach....

Even If it's the best how can they perform when the league has been off for over 3 months now

No excuses. Let's just hope they get their act together but IMO it looks bad.

I heard the team list was released on Tuesday and they were off to Togo on Friday. The NFF failed to plan adequately. It would have been better to pull out of the competition if you don't have the resources to prepare adequately for the qualifiers.

I do not prefer he calls anybody. My statement is not senseless. Rohrs modus operandi should be clear to all by now. It's Brazil we are playing. He will use the tested and trusted. Kalu, Aribo, Iwobi, Osimhen and co. No time for your favorites to properly express themselves. I reiterate again. Their time will come.

Oga Inviting Tomori and Eze does not mean they will feature in stating lineup. It's just an opportunity to bring them to the SE and prevent England from captying them. It's just a fuc.king friendly, they can make as much changes (6).

I prefer the term tried and tested but the tested and trusted is an improvement.

The tried and trusted means they have been tested and trusted to have performed and either exceeded or met the expected standard.

Can you say you would trust our defenders against the pacy and skilful wingers and forward players of Brazil and or any good quality national team.

In my opinion our midfield is competent but could really good do with the addition of Eze to add a but more attacking threat.

It's a friendly we are not expected to win and so we can play without pressure of expectation.

Friendly or no friendly can we beat them possibly although highly unlikely.

Therefore Rohr should use the fixture to try out other players who have shown promise. Although l know he is conservative and will probably will not so he will let stick with previous players plus the addition of Joe Aribo.

Why is everyone on attack mode? I am not for or against the invitation of any player. All am saying is look at Rohrs antecedents. The invite of the aforementioned players based on the calibre opposition we will face is not likely going to happen. This is Rohr we are talking about. He is bloody cautious. That's my argument.

Tyronne Ebuehi returned to action over the weekend as he played a half 90 for the Benfica U-23s to mark his return from injury.

Hopefully he stays fit. Good to have Ebuehi back.
